Sunbury Veterinary Clinic Austin, Texas

I came from another clinic where staff went through appointments as quickly as possible, paid very little attention to any health matter besides shots, and on a scary day last year refused to see my dog during normal business hours when he was vomiting blood. It wouldn't be altogether difficult to beat that experience! BUT Sunbury went above and beyond. Both the assistant and vet were kind, interested in Chuy and his health, and spent plenty of time getting to know my concerns for him and offering suggestions for health supplements that could benefit him. I'm very thankful to have found y'all and will not be going elsewhere again!

I believe the system in use right now couldn't be better.

Staff has always been responsive when I've called for requests to send shot records to pet boarding companies. The vets do a good job of listening to our concerns and then explaining what they think is going on with our dog and how they have chosen to treat the issue.

Was close and convenient, but they recommended us to use another vet when they were overbooked and we love the other one!

Every single person from the staff at the front desk to our vet was incredibly caring and competent. Obvious affection for our pets. Great communication. So glad we found this place!

Recently, our cat was getting sick daily so we needed to get him in to see a doctor. The staff at Sunbury Vet Clinic was friendly, responsible, and got us right in to see Dr. Taylor. The doctor was thoughtful, had great insights, and ensured that our cat felt good in the meantime (while waiting for lab results). The doctor hydrated our cat, provided pills to keep him from getting sick, and provided some easily digested food. Our cat has been doing very well ever since we saw the doctor and we feel very positive about our experience.

Everyone is so nice, but not that knowledgeable. 2 starts only because I hate the curbside situation and that it taks 2 weeks to get an animal seen. I edited my review after today. They are mostly too busy to take questions. I called about blood on the front of my cats eye and they told me to call back at 7am to see about getting an emerging slot, otherwise wait for available space in 2 weeks. I mostly likely will find another clinic cause in 2 weeks my boy could be dead. They didn't even ask follow up questions or try to give me any advise.

Sunbury has always been great.i first went to them while I was fostering an English Bulldog. They took great care of him and were always very thorough. I now bring my cat to them, and the doctor takes the time to talk through all your concerns and made sure she was doing just fine! I also love that they are very COVID conscious.

Dr. Taylor and her staff are so wonderful. They are kind, go out of their way to help answer the bazillion questions I have, take their time with the animals, and always treat my dogs just like they are their own. I so highly recommend Sunbury Vet Clinic!

Dr. Sunbury and Dr. Campbell have taken care of our many fur babies for over 20 years. They are the best - they are knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and down-to-earth.

My dog was a new patient suffering from a small cyst in her neck that had abscessed. They got me in to see the vet in 2 hours and were really wonderful to her and polite and informative with me. Would definitely recommend them. The ONLY downside is the parking in a really busy HEB parking lot that's currently under going major construction work.

I'm never taking my pets anywhere else but Sunbury, they are extremely heartfelt and helpful with every visit. I am forever thankful that I found this vet as my primary. Every employee is going to be there for you and your pet, I promise there isn't one employee that doesn't genuinely care about the safety and well being of every animal and pet parent that comes in. A big thanks to all who work at Sunbury, I'll never be able to really show just how much I appreciate every single one of you.

Hard to improve on Fantastic. Dr Sunbury has taken GREAT care of our pets for over 20 years. He is a great person and very up front about any issues and with a kind heart. I really feel he has a passion for all the animals he see's. I would give him more than 5 stars if they put them up here.

I've taken my cats here for 6 years and recommend them to my friends. They care deeply about animals and know their stuff. Everyone there is friendly and courteous and the doctors are fantastic!

I only give them 1 star because they are closed until July due to damage caused by the winter storm

Our experience with the clinic has been terrific. Everyone is nice and responsive. We had Dr. Taylor from day one and she is wonderful; so patient, understanding and goes above and beyond to help us.

We are new to Austin and needed a post-neuter check for our newly-adopted kitty. I called Sunbury Vet Clinic because they are close to our home and am so glad! From the young woman who answered my initial call to Dr. Waagge who examined our pet, everyone we came in contact with was professional, friendly and listened to our needs and concerns. This practice is exactly what we look for! I highly recommend them!

I wasn't able to get down with my little girl (COVID protocol), but she was happy and surprisingly calm after being with Dr. Waage. This was my first time going to this clinic, and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Waage. She was extremely patient with all my questions, explained everything with great detail, and most importantly made me feel comfortable that my little girl is being taken care of. The staff, that I have interacted with, have been incredible! They are quick to respond, and have been incredibly patient. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Everyone at Sunbury always takes great care of my fur baby, Edna, and the staff is very friendly! They are accomidating and do an efficient job without feeling rushed. I would recommend to anyone :)

I have taken my Best friend Yoda here for the past 7 years because I know she will receive excellent care every time regardless which DVM is seeing her. The Veterinarians here are exceptional at what they do and they won't break the bank either. THE COST FOR THEIR SERVICES ARE VERY REASONABLE AND THE CARE YOUR PET WILL RECEIVE IS SIMPLY THE BEST! We love Sunbury for our cats! They really seem to care about our boys. They always take our concerns seriously and they take the time to explain their thoughts/treatment plans and make sure that we feel comfortable before ending the visit. We're glad to have such a great veterinary clinic so close by. __ Since I last wrote this review, my beloved cat, Seymour, was diagnosed with lymphoma. Sunbury vets (especially Dr. Campbell and Dr. Waage) have been so helpful, caring, and amazing during such a hard, sad time. The whole staff is so professional and very kind. We call for medication refills weekly and they are always ready within 24 hours. I couldn't have picked a better facility or better people for the care we've needed over the last few months.
