SkyBlue Kennels Austin, Texas

I normally do not review place, however, my experience with Sky-blue kennels has justified an amazing 5 star review. This is the first doggy hotel, day care and more where I can say Oscar and Bodhi have legit pulled me inside and did not turn around to say goodbye. On pick up it’s almost like they do not want to come home. The amount of fun in their eyes tells me all I need to know. I have boarded them now 3-4 times for quite a few days and they come back clean, tired (which is good) and stimulated. They run to whoever is working for the day on drop off and that absolutely ensures my pups enjoy every bit of sky blue! I highly recommend. They treat them like their own.

The sweetest staff and so affordable!! I truly feel that they love our pups and feel so comfortable leaving them here when we go out of town.

It doesn’t get better than SkyBlue. The women running the show know what they’re doing. They are so sweet to me and my goofy, nervous rescue dog, and the service at the counter is always personable and quick. Really thankful for them and will be loyal as long as they have us :)

So pleased with our grooming experience here! Chance and Godiva, who can be quite nervous and shaky, were in gentle, patient hands at SkyBlue. I didn’t get a picture with their bandanas on, but here is them enjoying their summer cuts.

I take my pup Buster here whenever I go out of town, and he absolutely adores it. He's so excited when we get there he has zero interest in telling me goodbye because he can't wait to get in the building. I cannot recommend SkyBlue enough. They are great!

SkyBlueKennels was so kind to our pup. It was her first time staying at a boarding facility for a long period of time. Julie was so patient and gentle with her! Thank you for taking great care of her!

I’ve been boarding with Julie and her team for as long as they’ve been open and we are always thrilled with their service. They don’t blink an eye when the dogs need meds or a little extra attention. They know our dogs personally and always give them such a great welcome. Our dogs don’t even want to come home after spending some time at their little doggie camp. I could not recommend Julie and her team higher. I trust them explicitly and I am so glad that they are here in Austin for us - and so convenient to the airport!

We have boarded our two dogs Maximus and Clio to Sky Blue for the past three years and I can't speak highly enough about them. The staff are incredibly friendly, communicative and great with our big dogs.There is no doubt that they love what they do and this is not just a job for them. Our dogs absolutely love going there and their reactions when they see Julie the owner is just heartwarming. They always come home happy and worn out. There really is no other place in Austin that we would want to leave our fur babies.

My German Shepherd boards at SkyBlue and goes to daycare there. He is not the easiest dog, but they love him and give him unconditional care. The staff has always been professional, kind, and very helpful in every way. It’s obvious they truly love the dogs and caring for them! If it was possible to leave them 10 stars I would! I will never take my dog anywhere else!!

The proof is in the pooch! My dogs both pik-a-chu and jiggy hoop hoop(Our medium and large dog) are whining cant keep still about to jump out their coats in excitement the second we turn down the driveway! We first used the sky blue kennel at xmas boarded them for a week for the first time . We were put at ease almost instantly by the laid back friendly staff they were so sweet taking our calls answering our questions when we checked in.posted photos on the weekend so we could see how they were.The staff was patient with us as worried fur babies parents can be with your children being away for the first time.All the girls there are just so real u know ur animal is loved an cared for just as you would do. Since then we take them almost weekly and i wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.Our dogs are a bit on the unruly side an the girls at sky blue are wonderful with them both.They are aware of each of our dogs little habits likes an dislikes ,they are accommodating yet still keep them behaved (much better than i do). An we cant review without mentioning pricing so affordable they get to go weekly to run and play.Our family is so grateful to have sky blue on our team,as a place we trust to care for our pooches as we do.

Sky Blue is amazing! We take our large German Shepard there daily for day care and the staff has been wonderful with him! He is excited every time I turn onto their drive and is always happy to see the people that work there. They have helped us with training and even helped find us the perfect new addition to our family, a second dog! I have walk through the areas where the dogs are kept and they are clean and tidy. Our dogs love it and so do we!

Unprofessional business. Their actions on social media has deterred me from ever boarding my dogs with Sky Blue.

Sky Blue owner and staff are some of the most caring and loving people I know. I spent time working as one of Sky Blue's groomers. All of the animals in the facility are happy and well taken care of. As someone who has been in the industry for 9 years I was incredibly impressed with management's commitment to the health and well-being of each animal under their care. The facility is well maintainedand always clean. One of the most unique things about this facility is the amount of time each dog got to spend playing in the play yard. Julie Jones love for animals is unmatched. I recommend anyone in the area use their services.

I’ve boarded my pup here multiple times. She always comes back happy and worn out for DAYS. We love it. She isn’t friendly with other dogs, so finding boarding in Austin was surprisingly difficult. SkyBlue was so accommodating and didn’t mind one bit. Absolutely love the staff!

This is the best place to take your dogs, hands down, in all of Austin. They have a massive play area, where my huskies can actually run around and their boarding rooms are nice, spacious, and of high quality. Most importantly the owner and workers absolutely love animals. I drive across town to board my dogs here when I can.

We have religiously boarded our 2 dogs here for over a year. The staff is extremely nice and I believe they take excellent care of all dogs who stay there. We typically will throw in a bath for one (or both) and grooming if staying there for an extended weekend and they always come back looking fantastic as well. A nice perk as a dog owner is the Facebook images SkyBlue posts weekly of your pets - for some extra peace of mind. Definitely recommend taking your pets here!

The staff are always friendly and very communicative. Did a tour after having been to other local kennels and hands down the cleanest aswell. The dogs have alot of room to run with multiple yards to choose from. We love Sky Blue!

It was my girls’ first time to be kenneled or stay outside of our home since we rescued them. Julie and the staff took amazing care of them! She kept me updated, asked questions, took pictures, and spent extra time with them to not only make sure they were ok, but to really rehabilitate them. I cannot thank the staff enough or recommend SkyBlue highly enough. I always thought kenneling was a last resort, so we’ve taken our other dogs to dog ranches or hired a Rover house sitter. After my experience, I would choose SkyBlue just as easily as I’d choose the other options, but SkyBlue would win out because of the pricing. Highly recommend them!!

Dog loving retreat for dogs. SkyBlue really cares for dogs. When I turn into their drive ..my dogs start vocalizing in excitement..and they are so excited it is hard to get them from the car to the reception desk. Beyond keeping our dogs safe and fed, Skyblue really thinks about which dogs will work together to give them a great experience. * Our dogs have big personalities and they come back tired and happy. Local, affordable and dog loving. * someone asked me to explain. Knowing my girls behavior, when we bring both of them to Skyblue...they get the yard to themselves. When I send them 1 at a time they are fine with the group. I like that skyblue takes the breed and family group dynamics into account

We got our baby boy back today after his stay with Sky Blue for 3 days, he had a blast!!! I know this because he told me, of course, and also they post pictures which I think is awesome! We absolutely love them, their methods and their work ethic. 10/10 recommend. Also their pricing is very affordable. I cannot thank you all enough, seriously!!! Much love

My German Shepherd Lupin had a wonderful time here. He sometimes has separation issues which caused me to stop using kennels for a while but the raving reviews for SkyBlue made me try again. I’m glad I did because their kennel was well …

Great staff! And adorable rates! I wish my dog could tell me how it went but it seems like all the dogs have a good time based on the photos uploaded on Instagram and FB. Other than that I had a pleasant experience with the staff and it's convenient for me! Keep up the good work!
