They are very kind. They also seem to be continuously understaffed. If you call, expect to be put on hold for a while. If you show up in person expect to wait. If they say that they will refill a medication, I recommend calling first because too often the refill request gets lost and then you have wasted the trip. They are fine with you getting refills online from somewhere like chewy.com. Okay, that sounded negative but I really like the staff here. I think that there's too much for them to do in a workday. I trust them with my elderly cat. For appointments I have been seen on time better than at a human doctor. They make sure to spend time and energy with me and my cat, making sure that I understand the diagnosis and how to care for her, again, better than many human doctors. I would recommend them for your pet

I took my senior pup to this Veterinary Center for the first time and I was so favorably impressed. Dr. Walden and his assistant Ellie were both so kind with my pup and very thorough in the exam and with the tests. Dr. Walden called me today with the result of the tests and gave me options for treatment withought any pressure at all.

Dr. Weaver always takes plenty of time with my dog and me, and I learn something new every time we see him. He cares and it shows!

Tech thought that my cat may have been pregnant. Vet wasn't sure, so he decided to take the cat to the "back" to do a "test". He came back and said NOT pregnant. He proceeded with vaccinations. Well ... about a month later, we had 5 kittens... Vaccinations should not have happened. On a side note, when the vet brought the cat back from the "back" he saw a flea. I hadn't seen one on the cat before, so the flea may or may not have come from the "back" where the "testing" was done. Initially, they tried to sell me 6 months worth of medicine, because "that's how it comes" but the tech found an "open box" and and applied the medicine => Cost some money, but no fleas => Non issue!... and the tech applied it! => Great service!! Thank you tech!! Tech - 100 stars - Exceptional. Too bad I don't remember her name. She deserves to be recognized. (At the time new) guy at the front desk - 5 stars -> very nice, professional, and very helpful. Overall experience: Staff and the vet as well were friendly and professional Vet - Should have been able to tell that the cat was about a month pregnant, which is about half way...

I switched to this vet because my vet was costantly busy and decreasingly customer friendly and expensive. So far it has been very good experience we especially like Doctor Weaver. And their rates are very reasonable.

From beginning to end, this vet has always been so kind and thorough and gives great advice- I'm comfortable recommending them to anyone. Peaceful, calm atmosphere and animal lovers on staff. We have 3 cats with different needs and even though there are closer places we prefer to come here!

I've been an animal owner my whole life. I have taken my dogs to many vets throughout the years. Northwest Austin Veterinary Center created an experience I wont forget. The front office staff was incredibly kind and friendly, the Dr was very professional helpful and clear on the recommended solution. I would and will recommend this location to all my friends with fur babies!

We have now visited NW Austin Veterinary Center twice. We have seen 2 of the vets there and both have been amazing. They were able to take the time to answer all our questions and make sure our dog was comfortable. They did not try to push extra tests or supplements, but still took very good care of our dog. So happy we have found such a great vet near to our home.

I wouldn’t take my pet rock to this place. I asked if they could see us today because of the bad shape my dog was in, but there was little to no concern. The receptionist didn’t offer to recommend other clinics that might have availability, she didn’t ask about his symptoms or offer to have the vet maybe give me a call if he had time. It was just nope sorry.. and we’ve been to this clinic before. It wasn’t a random clinic I was calling, they knew he was having back pain. I called first thing in the morning because my dog is in so much pain he can’t walk or eat, much less stand up. It’s the worst feeling in the world not knowing how to help your animal let alone calling the one place that can and to be treated this way. We called another clinic who recommended a place that could see us and found out he has intervertebral disk disease and was in an enormous amount of pain. Do better.

Dr. Boyd and his team are amazing. I've been taking my dogs there over 20 years so far!

An amazing place. From the prompt check in, on time appointment to the care our doggo received definitely makes Northwest Austin Veterinary Center the right choice. Friendly, down to earth, pet care professionals. Will definitely be back.

Took our new puppy for a checkup and some questions and the staff was so nice and attentive. They gave me explanations with all of their answers and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. I also didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Great experience!!!

I have taken my dogs to Northwest Austin Veterinary Center since I moved to Austin in 1992. You never have to worry about which doctor you will see because they are all first-rate! The staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet. It's obvious everyone here is an animal lover and will provide the best care possible. The facilities are clean and comfortable. I'm so glad I randomly picked this place when I first moved here and didn't even know anyone to ask for recommendations. I have never regretted it!

Always professional and friendly staff. My dogs (all 3) love going to the clinic which makes me happy. Dr. Simmons goes above and beyond and is a huge asset to their team.

Dr. Weaver is a great vet and very caring. When I had to put my cat down dr. Weaver was caring and supportive. It’s a 20 mile trek for me but we’ll worth the trip
