Dr. Spellman was quick to check out our Great Pyrenees and decide that she needed emergency care. He was knowledgeable and kind.

Dr. Spellman takes amazing care of our dog. He makes sure that we leave every appointment feeling satisfied with the care provided and that all of our questions are answered. Highly recommend!

We love this clinic, they are always so efficient and direct and exactly what we need from a vet visit. We are able to get in quickly and the entire exam takes place right in front of you so you are able to be with your pet from start to finish. I recommend this clinic so highly, they truly take care of you and never overcharge.

Dr. Spellman and his staff are very personable and caring. I have taken both my cats (one adult, one kitten) to Dr. Spellman. I value the great care Dr. Spellman and his staff take when handling my pets. They ask me plenty of questions and they take time to listen to any questions or concerns I have. Dr. Spellman is also very honest and open when discussing the cost of care. I have had vet offices run my bill up and add services with out even asking, but Dr. Spellman consults with you about any additional charges or services and let’s you decide if you want to add them. He even recommended me cheaper options to get my cat spayed when I expressed concern about the cost. Great vet. I lucked out finding this place!

Dr. Spellman and staff are very professional and knowledgeable, and took great care with my senior cats. Both cats needed a check up, as well as a few things looked at, North Lamar vet clinic was more than helpful with these tasks. One of my cats needed a little extra special attention, Dr Spellman was able to help diagnose and treat a cyst she had recently developed. Everyone was very patient and helpful in educating me about my cats aging, as well as helping her to feel safe during the process.

Dr. Spellman is very caring. He performed surgery on my dog a few weeks ago and my dog is fine now.

I love the veterinary care, but I don’t care for Dr. Spellman’s ridicule-laden interactions when discussing an animal’s previous care or lack thereof. Additionally, I was flabbergasted by the $65 office visit fee per pet. That is exorbitant for a vaccine appointment. I thank him for treating the URI last week in one of my pets, but I’ll be going to Emancipet for vaccine maintenance.

Dr Spellmen constantly interrupted and wouldn’t address my questions. My dog had diarrhea and I wanted to know the root of the problem. He suggested shots and drugs and I asked if it would solve the root or symptoms. He said symptoms. I told him I already have medicine to solve the symptoms so I want to know the root. His reply verbatim was “well if you’re so knowledgeable then why would you come see me?” I was stunned at his lack of professionalism and decency. Waste of time and money. (When asked about his behavior, His receptionist even said he’s a “cranky old man”)

This clinic is absolutely amazing hands down best vet office I’ve been to since I moved here. This is the second time I’ve visited this office and the dr has our pets interest at heart every time. The cost is very reasoNable and if for some reason it’s not he will Offer other options that can still work for you. I appreciate the doctors honesty!!!

I've been going here for about 10 years. Great service, very compassionate when we have had to put pets down. No guilt tripping about spending the most possible money either.

Dr. Spellman and his crew are amazing. He takes the time to explain everything he is doing during our visits, and is extremely knowledgable. We are very happy to have found this place, and highly recommend it.

Great team! Glad to have these guys around for our pets when we need them. Can be a little pricy at times depending on what all you want done but they do inform you about everything beforehand. when it comes down to Dr. Spellman expertise, it really makes a difference! when it's something small or a emergency and everything inbwtween. That man knows his stuff! Highly recommend!

This vet is not a friendly person! I'm surprised by how many positive reviews there are. On both of my visits the vet was incredibly moody, with terrible bedside manners. He was both unfriendly and condescending to follow up questions during both my visits. That said, the vet techs were very friendly and kind, they did a wonderful job, I hope in the future they get the opportunity to work for a friendlier veterinarian.

We decided to bring our Shih tzu Waffles to North Lamar Veterinary Clinic based on location and positive reviews. No regrets here. Dr. Spellman is very helpful and has a great sense of humor. Highly recommended!

I met Dr. Spellman for the first time today when we took in our teen kittens to get fixed and have their first shots. What a wonderful breath of fresh air to meet such an experienced veterinarian who is also so practical and caring. The care for our kittens was excellent and the cost was reasonable compared to so many clinics around here. I highly recommend this vet clinic for anyone who needs great care for your animals. Vets like this are so few and far between anymore!

Finally, got our puppy to a vet that actually got to the problem. They got us in on short notice. Excellent service and bedside manner. Highly recommend this vet.

Dr. Spellman is very professional and knowledgeable. He's been in the business for over 50 years, and it shows. We tried him out because our other vet's treatment was not helping with our dog's allergies, and they were too expensive and too busy (we always had to wait a while even if we had an appointment). Dr. Spellman got us in on short notice and saw us as soon as we stepped into the door. He immediately corrected the other vet's diagnosis and got us wrapped up within minutes. Our dog's allergies have improved vastly since the visit, and we couldn't be happier. The pricing was transparent and affordable. Highly recommended.

The vet is a very likeable gentleman and his assistants are friendly and patient as well. He seems to have our puppy's best interests at heart over making a quick buck and is very good at explaining the pros and cons of various decisions and then leaving us to make the decision that is best for our risk factors and finances.

This place is good for simple fixes. Outside of that, I dont recommend coming here. They don’t tell you what they are doing before they do it, the vet guy is extremely moody for some odd reason, and the front desk lady is very unprofessional. She wouldn’t give me our dogs medical history after being there 3 times within a year. She instead told me she couldn’t because they don’t have email. She also wouldn’t give it to the Hutto Vet Clinic either which is unbelievable because I’d hate for my dog to get double of whatever the 4 shots that gave him in a two week period. There’s a think called writing, why couldn’t you tell me the history so I could Write it? So confused. Anyways, my dog has been sick for a month and for whatever reason the doctor just kept giving him shots and antibiotics and not checking his blood like he was supposed to after our second visit. Nothing came of the first three shots given in one appointment, or the last one given in the second one. Not the expensive dog food. Or two medications. We spent over $700 here and this man would never ask before just doing and then giving us the bill. I asked for him to call me back and he never dead which shows his lack of consideration for my pet whose sick. This place is old and empty all the time. Go there for an anal gland cleaning, nothing more!!!!!! Seriously.

I had a minor emergency with our pup and this clinic was able to fit us in within the hour. Staff were very friendly, very inquisitive of our dog's history and symptoms to really diagnose the problem. Thankfully the situation wasn't too dire. Our dog was back in regular spirits by the next day--just like Dr. Gianfranco had anticipated. He also recommend some ways to help prevent the situation in the future.

My gma brought her ???? cat here , I bring my pets here, my son will bring his pets here.. straight to the point very friendly super thorough no bs,, with love and ???? hugs office.. definitely worth it!

I was in need of a new vet (I didn't like how my previous one handled my cat) and happened upon North Lamar Vet Clinic. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the Doc was knowledgeable and was able to quickly diagnose and treat my cat. I will definitely be going back for all of my pets needs.
