I’ve been bringing my cat here for check-ups since I adopted him as a kitten. They’ve always been great and so professional. Recently, some tooth resorption was found in my little guy during his annual exam and we went forward with booking a surgery to extract the affected teeth. I can’t say enough about how great the LABAH team was throughout the entire process, from pre-surgery bloodwork to day of surgery and follow-up, I felt at ease and like my boy was in the best care possible. They truly treat your pet like it’s one of their own. Dr. McCarty was fantastic as well as the rest of the team, vet techs and front desk. My cat is soooo much happier following his surgery, more playful and affectionate. So happy to have him all fixed up and healthy- thanks LABAH!

Not a good experience. We consulted over the phone that the estimated price for kitten spay is around $200-300 but turned out to be over $800. Besides, the doctor refused to see us in person and we have no idea what’s happening inside with our pet.

I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The people who answer the phone are so kind and patient. I had a pet emergency and they were able to get me in and answer all my questions and concerns over the phone (because I couldn't go in with him). They follow-up on your animal after the appointment to make sure everything is going well and have been incredibly patient with me as I fumble with my dog's meds. Not only that, but it was one of the more affordable hospitals in the area. I have to pass by 2 vet hospitals to get to this one, but it's worth the extra 15 minute drive.

I had been worried about taking my newly adopted German Shepherd Dog to the vet since she is not fond of strangers. When Lady started having some worrisome symptoms, I was able to make a next day appointment here. The entire experience at the hospital was amazing. COVID-19 protocols were followed. They were gentle and sweet with my pup. She was not traumatized at all and was not even scared to go in the car that evening. I don’t think she would mind going back! Our appointment was quick and I felt that I had the doctor’s full attention. The staff and doctor explained everything to me on the phone and I felt confident their opinions. I think we have found our permanent vet! Thanks LABAH!

I've only had awesome experiences here. Everyone is super friendly, the vets all go in-depth with me after the visit and explain everything really well. They may not be the cheapest but I feel it's reasonable and I think they really care about my dog.

Everyone that helped me was super nice and reassuring when I was worried about my cat! The vet was awesome she talked us thru everything that could be going on with my cats inflamed eye, and with the treatment they offered he was back to normal in a couple days. They even called three days after the appointment to check on him :) great service, best vet I’ve been to in Austin!

Super kind and friendly staff and they do a great job. Very expensive though. (for reference, my quote for 1 baby tooth extraction that was ~$850, whereas another vet up north only charges ~$200). A bit too pricy for me to justify, but they are good people and do good work.

I cannot say enough great things about the team here. I recently started bringing my animals here after my dog was not improving with treatment from a different vet. Within the first ten minutes of the appointment Dr.Moore pinpointed the issue and two others that were overlooked by the previous clinic, discussed the best game plan and sent follow up information for me via email. What had been a 5+weeks issue at the other clinic was improved after the first visit here!! The staff was so patient with my pup with his anxiety and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable with each step of treatment, no matter how many questions I had. We had Dr.Honeycutt for some of the follow up appointments and she is SO fantastic as well. Highly recommend!!

I was able to schedule a same day appointment for a 5 week old kitty that found our family and needed to be checked out and rid of fleas. Because of Covid-19 we were unable to go in with him but they came out to get him a few minutes ahead of our scheduled time and the vet called me on my cell to discuss our new pet and the next steps in his care. It couldn't have been easier and now we have a nice and compassionate place for our kitty care.

We are fairly new to Austin and I am so thankful to have found Lake Austin Blvd Animal Hospital. I love this vet clinic. All of there staff are very friendly and personable. The Vets and Vet techs have great bed side manner. They intently listened to my concerns about my dog and provided much needed information for her treatment. The Vet techs are very patient and calm. Wonderful clinic!

They handle every medical situation with superior skills, while treating all patients and their owners with kindness, caring, empathy and affection. They handle the quirks and nervousness of my rescue dog with smiles and warmth. We are five year clients with no thought of changing Vets. The walls of LABAH are covered with heartwarming photos and beautiful testimonials from all their patients. That and Professional excellence all in one easy to get to location !!! Wow- I love LABAH so much. I’ve only had a few interactions with them, but they are a top notch vet. I rescued my sweet old boy and very quickly learned that he was cancer-ridden and needed to be put down. This was the sweetest, most humane and loving experience I’ve ever experienced. My partner was with me at the time and had also recently put his dog down and was amazed at what a different experience this was against the one at another vet that he had had. We are both sold. These vets and techs LOVE animals so much- I imagine all vets and vet techs do, but those at LABAH are so special.

I can’t say enough good things about LABAH. I have been there several times in the past few months and the service has been incredible every time. The whole team is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Moore is very thorough and knowledgeable. When I had an emergency with my dog, they were able to take her in right away and give her the care she needed. I love this place and am so so thankful for all that they’ve done for me and and my pup!

Lake Austin Animal Hospital is by far the best animal clinic in Austin. I've been a client of several and they don't measure up. More specifically, I like their attention to detail and the concern they show my pets. Keep up the great work. Highly recommend.

This is the vet I’ve been looking for since I moved to Austin 11 years ago! I’ve tried several in the city that ended up not being for me and my dogs so I decided to give these guys a try and I am not disappointed! Everyone that works here is genuinely super nice and friendly (which is really important to me). The vets go over everything with you and they actually listen to you when you have questions and concerns. You never feel like they are rushing through your appointment. They have never pushed anything unnecessary on me and have always been willing to try and work with my budget. I highly recommend this vet!

I've been taking my dogs to LABAH since around 2011 and couldn't be happier with the care they've received. They are a bit pricier that other vets in town, but they will never charge for something that isn't needed and your pet will receive the best possible care.

Really caring, friendly staff. Especially the front desk. My issue why I’m going to find another vet is, we’ve never seen the same vet twice. Always a new one. My last vet I had to leave because we moved and he’s an hour away. He knew my dog,

I highly recommend this place. It's not a cold in and out hospital but rather a warm and welcoming place. No dog likes the vet, but what I find most reassuring is the doctors are very gentle and always do their best to make sure the process is as painless as possible for the animal. The doctors are thorough and always discuss what's best for your dog and not just what will make them the most money. They are also dog owners themselves and have been through it all. So not only are they professionally trained but also speak from their personal experience. I have never been given any bad advice. I'm so happy I have a place to take my pup when she's not feeling well. They always know what to do to make her feel better.

Wow!! We just love the team at Lake Austin Hospital! The Doctors and staff are so kind, thoughtful and professional. My husband and I had to recently say goodbye to our black lab, Kaia and the care, sympathy and love they showed us was just amazing during the sad process of letting her go. We received a beautiful memorial gift with her ashes, paw print and sweet note expressing their condolences. We were just blown away to the care!! We take our other chocolate lab and cat (Eve) to this team and will not go anywhere else, as long as we live in Austin! Thank y’all so so much for all that you do.

They are so kind, smart, and gentle. My cats are grouchy old men and they are so sweet to them.

We drive up from South Austin to come here because we love it so much. The amount of care and attention that our pets (two small dogs) receive is beyond anything we've experienced at any other vet. We come for both annual and sick visits and have always received the highest standard of care. The vets and vet techs take the time to listen to our concerns and explain everything thoroughly and thoughtfully. They provide feedback and advice not just for what we came in for, but for the pet's general wellness too, which we appreciate. Also, their business hours are extremely convenient and there's hardly ever a wait.
