I purchased my conure from JC Aviary and I'm very happy with my new bird and experience. Her personality really shows the love and dedication they poured into her while with them and not only that but she was safely shipped to me within the time frame that worked best for me. It was my first time receiving a shipped animal but they guided me through the process and were very reliable. They were also very accommodating and stayed in touch via phone call and text until they verified I was united with my bird. Overall excellent service from beginning to end and even after they still check in and provide support in any way possible. Whenever I am in a position for another birdie, they will be my go to!

We have owned a male and female white bellied Caique for five years. Tragically the female was killed by a hawk a few weeks ago. We contacted JC who sent us a beautiful 6 month old female to replace our lost bird. The bird was flown out to us in an extremely elaborate cage. All the paperwork including a Vet report was with the bird. Packages of food were included in the travel cage. We had never seen a Caique as gentle as this young bird. We placed the new bird and our male in separate cages for a couple of weeks. Currently they are caged together and bonding. This amazing young bird reflects the care and kindness of the people at JC who raised and hand fed it since birth . I purchased a beautiful Rosie Bourke from JC and the experience has been above all expectations - The bird arrived healthy and is super sweet, the shipping arrangements were surprisingly easy and our Bourke arrived looking comfortable and cheery in his personal crate. (Solid built with all the needs). I have now put a deposit for a new baby Budgie. Without a doubt contact I will JC again and no other when looking for an expansion of a little flock.

Disclaimer: (I did not buy a bird from them yet) JC Aviaries is one of the few places where I actually take the time to write a review. I have been speaking with Joe for the past 3 or so months, and during that time he has been so helpful about any of the questions that I have. He has never missed a call, and he truly is one of the most reputable breeders in the community. Overall he has helped me out a ton by supplying well-behaved baby birds, and exceptional service!

My endless search for a properly, well raised bird ended when I was introduced to JC Aviary in Texas. I bought an amazing baby African Grey from them and named her Gorgeous. She was safely shipped to me in California on May 17th, 2021; the shipping process was very simple and safe. JC was able to help me with all my question. More remarkable is that he still answers any and all questions when I reach out. He is always happy to help, and you can feel the love he has for the birds he raises. Gorgeous arrived with all her vet documents including blood and DNA testing done before she was shipped. Unlike most Greys Gorgeous is very affectionate. She likes to play, interact, and oddly cuddle; most Greys are not cuddlers. She never misses a step-up, calls my puppies Emma and Lola by name and gives them treats; unfinished sugar snap peas she throws at them from her play-stand. Gorgeous is my second baby. Back in April of 2020 I brought home a four-year-old Umbrella, Handsome, who was not so well behaved, socialized, raised nor kept; he was really aggressive and super loud to say the least. That said, with proper husbandry Handsome and I grew close, so close that I cut my birthday vacation short to get home to him sooner. I thought for sure that when Gorgeous joined us my thirst to have another Cockatoo had been quenched. That ill-fated thought lasted until il I saw Joe hand feeding a couple of baby Umbrellas back in June 2021. In fear of them selling out I immediately put a deposit on one of the babies. Admittedly Joe’s pricing is a little on the higher side but one who buys a baby from Joe is not just paying for the bird, you are paying for the time, effort and energy that goes into rearing a socially well displaced bird. Honestly, you don’t buy a sport car and worry about gas mileage! Early socialization is very important, and no one does it better than JC. It took Handsome over six months to allow my puppies to walk around him without freaking out, where Gorgeous (my African Grey Baby from JC) accepted them and was not freaked out at all. They were buddies immediately. The male baby umbrella from JC is fully flighted and arrived recall trained. He never misses a step up is super affectionate is fully recall trained and is a joy to train. The two toos are loving the company of one another. In short, JC puts out amazingly well tempered and smart parrots! If you’re considering adding a companion bird to your family definitely reach out to Joe, you won’t regret it! Hi everyone, would like to share my experience with JC Aviary, absolutely the best experience. I bought a total of 3 birds from him between September and October of this year, 2 BH caique's and 1 WB caique, had them shipped via Delta Cargo, was the most easy, streamlined, and at ease process, Jc responds to every phone call and inquiry which left me at ease. You can tell the birds are truly adored, tamed, and super sweet. I also reached out to him after reading all the great reviews. Thanks JC, btw, Tita, Tito, and Nina say hello and miss you greatly. :)

We love our new bird so much! He is super sweet, really goofy and he loves going outside with the bird harness on and loves looking at himself in the mirror. We fell in love with the Galah / Rose Breasted Cockatoos when we saw one in the Netherlands and we are so grateful we found such a sweet and well trained one here in Texas. We also love the bird food recipe book we got. We ate some spinach risotto I made the other day from the bird recipe book and our birds loved it! Thank you so much! JC Aviary is by far the best breeder out there. Our baby Galah Stella arrived safely to CT from his place in Texas. Joe answered all my questions during the entire process from considering my new feathered baby to the weeks after she arrived. Before she arrived he sent me video and photos of her. She was so sweet and socialized and was already harness trained! When I took her to the Avian Vet, they said she was the sweetest healthiest baby they have seen! I would recommend Joe because he raises his birds with the most gentle loving care.

Everyone should buy a bird from JC Aviary! I could not be happier with Gigi. She is healthy, charming, snuggly, hilarious, and totally fearless. She excellent company, and snuggles equally with my boyfriend and me! Gigi is a huge hit at parties and on conference calls. Even the chief execs know her! Gigi arrived at the airport in a lovely box full of soft bedding and fresh food! It took her two days to fly to me, and we have been inseparable since. She eats every fruit and vegetable we offer. We started making homemade toys from cork, cardboard, and old puzzle pieces — she loves it! Gigi is literally the perfect bird. Thank you, Joe! I can’t imagine life without her snuggles.

We recently purchased a female Blue Head Pionus from JC. She came very tame and well behaved. She also came trained for o step up and we'll and harness trained. We contacted JC right before Covid hit back in March 2020 regarding a Blue And Gold Macaw, after 16 months we now have our beautiful baby Arwen Rae, the professionalism of this breeder of beautiful hand raised birds is off the charts, he and his staff go above and beyond to assure the birds are ready for new homes, we had LOTS of questions, they were answered, concerns, they were discussed, problems, NONE, he makes you feel like a friend that you have known forever, I would definitely recommend this Aviary to any and all!

I absolutely adore my beautiful violet Indian Ringneck from JC Aviary. Although I live on Long Island and was worried about a bird being shipped from Texas, I decided to take a "leap of faith" because I was so impressed with the owner, Joe Coman. We spoke at length on the phone multiple times about the care requirements and the unique personality of IRNs. My veterinarian had cautioned me about some local breeders/pet shops selling unweaned birds that are not properly socialized, or birds that have only been given an all-seed diet. Joe on the other hand, weaned my bird on heathy pellets, fresh fruit, vegetables and sprouts. He had trainers of both genders work with my bird so he would be comfortable with either a male or female owner. As I was waiting for my bird to be ready to "come home" to me, Joe posted photos every few days so I could see him growing up. Just before he was shipped, Joe sent me a video of my bird working with his trainer on "stepping up." Fast forward one year -- and my little "Pagliacci" and I have the strongest of bonds! He started talking at 8 months in his adorable "Mickey Mouse" voice. Every morning, I'm greeted with, "Good morning!" "Hi!" "What are you doing?" "Come 'ere!" "Want to come out!" Give Mommy a kiss!" "Kiss my belly!" "I LOVE you!!" "Tickle, tickle!" "Peek-a-boo!" and "Duckie(his favorite toy)!!" He loves to eat - especially bananas and corn on the cob and he loves to go in the shower with me everyday on his special shower perch. I had called Joe on a few occasions to ask for advice, and he was never too busy to take the time to answer all of my questions. So, when I decided to look for a little friend for Pagliacci this spring, there was no doubt in my mind that I would contact Joe. Two weeks ago, I picked up my Blue Lacewing Indian Ringneck from LaGuardia Airport. Everything went smoothly, and I was in constant contact with Joe. I knew that sometimes a female bird could take a longer time to adjust, but my blue lacewing is amazing! She is so friendly and will step up on anyone's finger. She loves to play and eat. She also has shown Pagliacci who's "boss!" My veterinarian gave her a clean bill of health and sends his compliments to the breeder for raising such healthy, beautiful, and well-socialized birds. I also want to thank Joe for the love, devotion, and passion he puts in to raising his extraordinary birds!

I am head over heels in love with Riley, the baby Galah I adopted from JC. It is extremely clear that this bird was cherished just as much as a baby as he is with me. He is so sweet that even my avian vet was late to start our first check up because he HAD TO stop and play with this pink ball of fluff. Riley is super duper healthy physically and mentally. This little guy let me give him head scratches on day 2. Day Two. He is social with every person he has met so far (I've had him 25 days and he has met 10+ different people of various ages). JC has taken the time to have multiple long conversations with me before and after the adoption. I seriously cannot thank JC + co enough. If you are looking for a quality parrot breeder…take the time to read this. It’s long, but worth every minute to ensure you get the best bird you can imagine. I met JC through a recommendation. It was the absolute best thing that could have happened in my search for a quality and reputable caique breeder. All of JC’s birds are hand fed and raised through weening as part of a family. Loved and gently trained, by capable trainers!! to be the absolute sweetest and most loving bird you could ever hope for. My caique was very tame and already trained to “step up”, perch, flight recall, as well as harness and clicker/target trained. He had been weened on high quality pellets (without additives and fillers) as well as a plethora of fresh veggies and fruits. He eats every healthy food he is offered! Every other breeder I spoke to weened onto cheap pellets with minimal hand taming and socializing. One bird we looked at bit viciously at just 12 weeks!! Every breeder refused my request to not clip the wings. It’s obvious by the incredible beauty and health of JC Aviary babies that the breeding birds are of quality genetics and not over bred. JC spent several days communicating with me and based on my desires selected the best baby for our home. He put my mind at ease regarding the air travel as well as provided DNA test, full avian blood work and health certificate from an avian veterinarian, hatch certificate, and a starter kit with an incredible assortment of toys, shower and other perches, pellets and treats. Even a harness that my bird had been trained with. Did I mention the health guarantee? Everything has been taken care of and the attention to detail results in beautiful , well socialized and healthy babies. The communication with JC doesn’t end once you receive your bird. He continues to be generous with his time to answer questions, help and encourage! You just won’t find a better breeder nor a more beautiful and perfect bird! Last March I lost my nanday conure I hand raised and loved for 22 years. After that both me and my other bird were both struggling on how to move on without our friend. I asked some of the members of the conure group I am part of on Facebook, where I could find an aviary to get another conure. They informed me JC Aviary is in Austin area. I looked up the website and I called and Joe answered. I told him I wanted to know what birds were available. He explained I could look at available birds on the website and if I was interested I could put down a non-refundable down payment. I had no idea what kind of bird I wanted to get. I checked it out the available birds and I chose to put down a deposit on a yellow sided green cheek conure. I honestly did not know what to expect I kept in touch with Joe and about mid April I called to schedule an appointment to meet the bird and he said that one of his yellow sided conures was ready for to go home. I drove to his store the next day I was excited and nervous I kept wondering what if the bird doesn't like me? As soon as I got in the door Joe put the conure on my hand and let me know she was a female. Then after I got a chance to meet her he went over all the care packet and I bought her toys the pellets she likes to eat. He also asked me to bring my other bird and he took the other birds blood to do a DNA test. After that I placed her in a carrier and drove her home. I expected when I got home she would be scared and not want to eat. As soon as I placed her in her new cage she found the food dish and started to eat and went over and drank her water. The next day I took her out expecting her to be scared of me instead she came right to me.
