Making the decision o say goodbye to our sweet Lucy was so tough. From the moment Dr Myers got to our house she did everything she could to ease our pain. She explained the process but didn’t rush us. She loved on Lucy and kept saying how pretty she is. She was efficient and professional and put so much effort into making sure we and Lucy were as comfortable as could be. We are so thankful we didn’t have to go to a cold stranger’s clinic to ease our sweet girl’s suffering

At 38 years of age I’d never seen an animal pass before my eyes or anything at all for that matter. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. To be able to do so peacefully at home made this much easier to handle. There’s no way I’d have been able to drive had I went to a vet clinic for this. The Doc was on time and as compassionate as could be. The bedside manner was perfect and loving to my good pal Ginger. The doc informed me of what was going on through the procedure and gave us a few moments alone after she had passed. You owe it to yourself to have the privacy and peace of home for your pet to pass. If you’re reading this , it’ll be ok. Long live Ginger Brownstone

Dr. Kim was professional, gentle, compassionate, and respectful as she helped my dear feline friend leave this world. I can't imagine taking him into an office and the additional stress that would create. With Dr. Kim's help, he passed gently in our backyard on a lovely day surrounded by loved ones. From the bottom of my heart I can't thank her enough. When the time comes, I absolutely reccomend Doorstep Vet.

Dr. Kim was incredibly professional, compassionate and informative. She helped ease our fears and really took the time to explain everything. We really appreciate her help during this time.

If you have a 48 hour window to make the decision I would highly recommend their services. I rescheduled (easily) & had my 16 yr. old pet put down by them, & it was by far the best option for the pet (& extra Kudos for Dr. Pool). Many Thanks.

First, I didn't end up being able to use them, because my dog ended up advancing her cancer very quickly in the middle of the night and crying out in pain 5 days ahead of my scheduled appointment. I had to get her in to my vet before the pain got too much worse. But this company did everything they could to accommodate me, and I feel they deserve this positive review. Had my dog not had complications in the middle of the night, I was planning to take her camping one last time and then at the end of that, an at home euthanasia with Doorstep vet. These guys are the real deal. When I called to tell them the unfortunate news, they were compassionate and caring and told me not to worry and cancelled my appointment. I wish I had scheduled them for sooner, but I was too optimistic of my dog's health. That's on me. Next time, I won't make that mistake and I'll use Doorstep vet sooner.

Compassionate, professional, and respectful. Dr K made a difficult experience as solemn and respectful as it should be when dealing with our 14-year old ailing family pet dog. I preferred this experience over having to take a pet into a vet and I highly recommend Doorstep Vet.

This was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I had my beautiful girl for 16 years, but when it was time, they were amazing and right there for us. They were patient and they made sure she had the best passing she could. I still tear up a bit about it, but they left me with a beautiful imprint of her paws to remember her and they made sure she was taken care of after. I couldn't be more thankful that they were as amazing as they were. They made a very difficult time as easy as possible. Thank you so much.

I can not say enough kind things about Dr. Myers and the doorstop vet team to accurately articulate how much this experience meant to me. Their website has all of the information you need to make an educated decision, which helped me stop constantly second guessing myself. My 18 year old baby bear, Max, has been with me for over half of my life. I felt like I was giving up on him. His little back legs were no longer properly functioning and he was beginning to fall over, not being able to use the bathroom properly and he could not get comfortable. They have a quality of life assessment that I took and had some others that were familiar with my baby bear take. It helped eliminate a lot of my doubt. The doorstop vet team ALWAYS responded quickly and where always so supportive. You feel the entire time that you are not alone through this. They also provide grief support resources. Dr. Myers is genuinely an angel. She answered all of our questions, and the whole process did not feel rushed at all. I watched my fur baby finally relax for the first time with out pain and I could tell this was the right thing to do. We sat in my living room and he was in his favorite bed. Her concern was on us and Max the entire time. Dr. Myers has a soft, calm, confidence, caring, compassionate demeanor. She chatted with us, ensured us that we were extending the best gift of kindness we could and that I did the best I could and she could tell he was very very loved. I pet his little head and scratched his ears the entire time. She handled him with the most caring, delicate touch, just the way you would for someone you deeply care for. Nothing felt super clinical, just natural and calming. Dr. Myers made this experience something that I was so scared of and had questioned constantly, so peaceful for my baby bear. There are not enough words to express my gratefulness for her and the doorstop vet team. Dr. Myers is an angel. What she does is not easy and it takes a special type of compassionate, caring person to provide this service. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you did for my 18 year old little man, Max. I will see you on the other side my furry baby, with your brother Dinky. Kindly, Taylor N.

Thank you so much for the kindness and patience you showed me and my baby girl Whisper. You made the hardest day of my life just a little easier on us both. Thank you for giving her that peace and happiness of seeing so many of those who love and adore her and how many hearts she touched. She was 17 years old but she will always be my baby. Thank you for helping to make her final moments peaceful and happy

I struggled for a long time to end my dogs suffering. When it became evident he was no longer enjoying life, I called doorstep vet. It’s never easy to say goodbye to a friend however they were so empathetic, professional and kind throughout the whole process

I love my Soul Buddy Dogs with all my Heart And Soul...The saddest days of your Life is when you have to say Goodbye*** That is why I did not want to take my friend to the vets office ( the place that stresses doggies the most ) for his last day..Home is where dogs should spend their last day on EARTH and their First Day Departure too Heaven!!!

The Doorstep Vet was great. I had struggled with making the decision for this for months, but as my fur baby got worse and weaker I had to make the difficult decision. I had contacted several services, and Doorstep was the least expensive. The other 2 services were also responsive and kind with their response. I was able to schedule the appointment for a few days later. Doorstep Vet called about 30 min before arrival, she was very patient with the process and great at providing the explanation of the process. I asked if we could pray, and we did. The decision to go ahead was for us to say we are ready.... Then finally providing a paw print impression for us to keep is very sweet. I would recommend this process to anyone who has to make this decision if it is not urgent. They will help you and your fur baby through this process very peacefully.

There are several at-home euthanasia options in our area. I chose Doorstep Vet months before it was time to schedule our appointment because of the very helpful information that was on the website. I encourage you to read through it if you have time and are doing research like I was. This includes reading over their services, as well as the "Resources" section. Unfortunately, our big girl Livia’s time came close to Christmas! I had really wanted to get one more quality-of-life appointment in with my vet, but we had to wait a little over a week because of the holidays and COVID. I contacted Doorstep Vet via their online form on Saturday, December 26, at 8 PM. I received an email response from Lindsay the next morning at 6:45 AM, offering an appointment for December 29. Lindsay was so kind and understanding through the several emails she sent as we had updates and questions. I really appreciate that! On the 29th, we had a rough, slow morning, with Livia barely feeling like getting out of bed. We just sat with her there, and then she eventually walked out from the back door just enough to go potty. We fed her half of her normal meal in her usual food puzzle so she could take her meds, and also keep with her routine. I had a bag of small, yummy treats ready for Livia, as the website suggested. Dr. Pool also brought some treats with her. When she walked in, Livia got a final burst of energy. It was so awesome to see Livia walk over to the doctor with such enthusiasm! She had been walking so slowly that morning--and that walking was just from bed to yard, then from yard to bed. I had been bringing her water to drink in her bed. Dr. Pool said she brings treats because it really helps if you can offer your dog a pile of treats to munch on while she is doing the first injection. I really recommend having a bag of small treats you know your pet loves, and it can help if your dog didn't just have a very big meal. If they're feeling stuffed, they may not be as interested in the treats, making it hard to distract them from the doctor with the needle. COVID made this process a little different, but Dr. Pool still managed to be so comforting. She explained everything very well, and we understood what was going on at each step. I sincerely appreciate the doctors still coming over to pets' homes to help them rest peacefully. I have previously had to decide on euthanasia while at an ER vet, and the at-home option was just so much nicer. It is so comforting that your pet can just lie down in the bed she's been using on a daily basis during this process. It was still hard on us humans emotionally, but not having to do this in a clinic was immensely helpful. We have adopted another big senior, so it won't be very long before we are contacting Doorstep Vet again. Emergency situations may prevent you from scheduling at-home euthanasia. Please don't feel too bad if that happens! Some things we cannot predict, and sometimes we cannot see that our pet has advanced disease internally. But if your pet is in the group of animals who show a more gradual loss in quality of life, I encourage you to contact Doorstep Vet to help your pet cross the rainbow bridge in the comforts of home.

I’m sure this will sound exaggerated or out of touch, but I personally just experienced one of the hardest days of my life. Saying goodbye to our precious Buzz Buddy was so excruciatingly difficult for my wife and I - but there was a silver lining: Dr. Pool and the Doorstep Vet euthanasia process. She was kind, respectful of our feelings, compassionate, and so importantly, she didn’t rush us. She was also an intimately knowledgeable practitioner, warning us of anything alarming which may have happened at each step of the process. Moreover, for those who are still awaiting vaccination, she was decked out in some serious PPE for our protection just as much as hers. All in all, today was terrible. But I am so heartened by the service I received. I could not recommend this business more highly. And to those who may lose their best friend soon - you have kindred spirits out there. Be strong and remember the good times.

I’ve had to endure the passing of 7 beloved pets over my long life. I wish I could have given each of them such a caring and gentle passing as the one provided by Doorstep Vet. At home, safe in my arms, my sweet Chihuahua “Java” drifted into a peaceful sleep and then passed gently away.

Dr. Kim was very compassionate and professional while assisting us through our final goodbye to our beloved companion. She helped guide us through the procedure, giving us very precious moments alone with him during this difficult time. We are most grateful for her and the service she was able to provide our family.

I can't express how wonderful Casey and the entire service was. This was an extremely difficult, scary and new thing for our family and it could not have been handled with more professionalism and compassion.

Very caring and compassionate. Peacefully helped my beautiful baby of over 13 years pass in the comfort of her own home, after a rapidly growing tumor became too much.

Very professional, very understanding of our time with our 4 legged family members. We had this service in Dec.2018 for our Chihuahua. We really feel better about the way this service is provided, administered, care of our family. Thanks

I think I was one of those visits where there wasn't much talking. Maki was very ill when Casey (I'm sorry if I've misspelled) came over. My husband and I were sad to make this choice. I was surprised on the fact that they showed so much compassion for what we were going through. They came in to show love and say "we're in this path with you" by being educational and sharing step by step information. I'm unaware of how this would've happened at a clinic but I'm sure that this was the best way to go for ourselves. If they ever go out of business (or just get tired of doing this) I would ask them to recommend where to go. I honestly know that they will always be my first option. Recommend 100%.

Sadly, this is the second time we have needed Dr. Casey's services. She is very sympathetic and understanding at a difficult time. Could not ask for more from her.

As hard as it is to lose a best friend the team at doorstep did such an amazing job. It's hard to express how gentle and empathetic everyone was. Thank you for your help in making sure Roxy passed peacefully.

Door Step Vet, in the person of Dr. Arina, helped me say goodbye to my big baby girl of 13 yes, Pandora. So very grateful for Dr. Arina's compassion and care.
