After a negative experience at my previous vet, I was recommended to see Dr. Butcher by a friend. Before seeing Dr. Butcher my puppy would refuse to walk into the vet office. He was anxious and scared during his visits. After our appointment yesterday, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Her tech was so kind and helpful with making my puppy feel safe and cared for. Dr. Butcher spent a long time discussing his plan of care, how to help with his anxiety, and how to boost his confidence. Her staff was very clear and up front about vaccination due dates, recommended annual treatments, and pricing. I highly recommend Dr. Butcher and the Crestview Vet Clinic!

I found my first bump on my 7 year old golden retriever and it F R E A K E D me out. I frantically got him into his vet (who we've been with for 6 years), but after they handled the situation really awfully, I was on a mission to find the very best standard of care possible for my guy. EVERYONE (and I mean everyone) in my neighborhood recommended Crestview, and I'm so glad I contacted them. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel like royalty, and by the end of the visit, I had absolutely no doubt that Moose had found his new forever vet. Dr. Butcher was professional, personable, informative, provided excellent care, and most importantly, she calmed all of my nerves by outlining out an extensive treatment plan for when (and if) the mass turned out to be cancerous. Fast forward a few weeks later, it was just a lipoma, but I'll never see another vet again! Thanks Crestview for setting the bar so high. PS - If your vet is no longer allowing in-person appointments, Crestview DOES and this was one of the main reasons why I switched. No more drop-offs where Moose has to sit in a kennel all day and I pick him up with his tail between his legs (hallelujah!)

By far the most welcoming vet experience of my life. Everyone was so amazing, kind and knowledgeable. They took so much time with our dog it was amazing. I left feeling so happy to find such an amazing place. I will tell everyone about it.

I recently switched from another veterinarian in town and so happy I did. The staff were fantastic with getting caught up on all my cat's needs. Dr. Butcher was amazing with my cat and I feel like my cat will get really great care from this team. Everyone was so welcome, listened and understood all my concerns. I can't recommend this place enough, especially from one visit.

This Veterinarian has some very unfair business practices. When my wife set up an appt to get a vaccination, the vet cancelled on her the day before. Fine. Things happen. Thanks for the heads up. However, when she needed to cancel her appt, they billed her 100 dollars for not giving 48 hours notice. They'll be very polite and professional while they screw you. I would not recommend you use them.

They have 5 stars for a reason. I’ve never gone to a vet that genuinely cares the way every single staff member cares in this place. It’s just amazing, I’m left speechless with how loving they are and just so nice. 110% recommend this vet to everyone and anyone. Especially new comers as I am new to Austin and finding this vet compared to my last vet back in North Dakota is literally heaven sent. Seriously they’re all absolutely amazing. And I’m not bluffing. No, this isn’t a paid ad. Their kindness is just unreal. They’ve seen 2 out of my 3 pups, and the way everyone in that office treats them, you can just tell they’re good people that have a true passion for what they do. Thankful for Crestview Vet. I took my senior cat with hyperthyroidism to this vet for a year while I lived in the area, and I had a great experience with them. Dr. Byman and Dr. Squires were both great at explaining health conditions and recommended procedures. They were comfortable taking questions and talking through any concerns I had. I am also impressed by Crestview's responsiveness, as they have always responded promptly whenever I emailed them with questions about smaller veterinary concerns. I truly felt comfortable trusting my beloved fur baby to Crestview Veterinary Clinic. Were it not for the distance from my new home, I would probably still be going here.

Thank you Dr. Butcher and all the Crestview VC staff! I appreciate how gentle and kind everyone is with my nervous pup, and Henry appreciates all the sweet words and treats everyone gives him. The atmosphere here is so light and friendly, and you can tell how everyone there truly cares about their animal and human clients alike. I cannot recommend this clinic enough!

Crestview Vet Clinic is great -- It seems like most either push for things you don't need or they're geared towards budget care and don't inspire confidence. This clinic does a great job of balancing the two, so I never felt like I was being pushed into expensive or unnecessary treatment but it was clear they knew and wanted what was best for my cat. I won't hesitate at all to go back and I recommend them to anyone in the area who's looking for a good vet. Update: Returned 7/22/21 for a sick visit with my cat and once again, Crestview Vet Clinic was absolutely wonderful. From the receptionists up front, to Randi my technician, to Dr. Lund, everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Lund really gave me peace of mind and confidence in her treatment plan. They also somehow managed to get me in way quicker than anywhere else was able to... can't recommend them enough!

We have two dogs and a cat, and we take all three of them to Crestview. Everyone there is so friendly, caring, and knowledgable! From regular checkups to kidney stone surgery, they've been so helpful and professional. Highly recommend!

Incredibly disappointed in their service. I am a new cat owner, and I have only had my cat for 1 month. She was being difficult about getting in her crate and I had tried for an hour. I called to try and reschedule my appointment, and they were not willing to work with me at all. I understand that you have spots to fill, but I am trying to be a customer. My appointment was at 11:30 and they close at 12pm, so I was not about to get the best treatment either.. 30 minutes for a visit and nail trimming?Im actually glad I didnt have to put my cat through that. Be aware of what you get into. Go to a compassionate vet that cares about animal and owner.

I love Crestview so much. I’ve been taking my dog here for about 2 years and have always had an amazing experience. The whole team cares so much about animals. They’re always super responsive and patient and never make you feel rushed if you have questions on anything that’s come up. Writing this review now since we just took our dog here after a freak accident where she was bitten by another dog. We called them at 8am and despite being booked up they managed to find a vet with time to squeeze the dog in between her other appointments. They’ve been calling to check in on us every day since. It really made a stressful and scary experience so much better. All around just the best vet! Highly recommend.

This is my favorite veterinary practice on Austin. I have four dogs and have been to quite a few vets here. They are super competent, use modern veterinary practices, don't overcharge, and are just incredibly kind to both me and my dogs. We love Dr. Butcher and Dr. Byman, but really everyone there is wonderful!

Could not have asked for a better experience! We were in town from Dallas when our dogs unfortunately met the neighbor dog through the fence, and needless to say, they won't be friends. We were able to be seen quickly, sending info for vaccines was easy, and I really appreciate every time they text or call for reminders. Once there, the handoff was easy, the staff were all amazing and polite and loved my dogs, and that really means a lot. I am so so happy my sister recommended Crestview, because it was a bad experience turned great thanks to the staff. Big big big thanks!

After a bad experience with Thrive Vet, I came across Crestview Vet Clinic on Google, and decided to take my fur baby there after reading the great reviews. I couldn’t be happier that I did. The staff is so friendly, and incredibly attentive to my dog’s needs! I really trust that my dog is in great hands. Their service, communication, and overall passion for what they do shines through. What a vet! I’ve had dogs for a while and this is the best veterinary practice I have seen. Dr Kautz is amazing. He is great at what he does, has an excellent bedside manner and is patient and responsive. The staff is equally great, with each and every member clearly loving their jobs and the animals they treat. I’m happy to entrust my dogs’ lifetime care to this team. Wishing them all the best!!

I believe this clinic truly cares for animals. I just want to thank them for firing the person who was caught abusing their own elderly dog. They really value animal care & who they trust to provide that care. I would give them my business any day !

Dr. Kautz was our vet before he started his own practice, and obviously we made the switch when he opened up Crestview. He is incredibly thorough and an amazing diagnostician - he saved our 16 year-old cat’s life (she turns 18 next month). As the business grew, our pets would see Dr. Butcher as well - she is also excellent. We moved out of state six months ago and I don’t think we will ever find someone we trust as much as Dr. Kautz. Highly recommend this clinic.

They staff were all very kind and courteous. My furry ball of anxiety never does well with the vet, but they had her I'm and out for her checkup in about 30 minutes and she was completely unphased. Very happy with this place.

Though we were from out of state, the Doctor and staff gave Lucy exceptional attention. I've already referred a family member there. Thank you!

I just lost my beloved 16 1/2 year old Yorkie, Murphy, a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Kautz has been taking care of Murphy since approximately 2006. I came to Crestview initially because of him. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Kautz and every single member of the staff at Crestview. It was a rough last year and a half with Murphy, but I always felt like he received the highest level of care possible at every visit to Crestview. They made the end of his life as smooth as it could have possibly been and everyone was so supportive and went above and beyond what I ever expected from a vet clinic. I strongly recommend Crestview for your pets.

Any interaction I've had with either the staff or the veterinarians has been nothing but positive. Everyone is so friendly, responsive to my questions/pet's needs, and very honest. It gives me such relief knowing my dog is able to go to this clinic because he's truly in the BEST hands!

She explained everything in a very easy-to-understand way and was really helpful in breaking down our options. I took my dog here because she had an abscess in April. They charged me $1.2k when her normal doctor back home charges $200. At her cleaning with her normal doctor he told me never to return to Crestview because the doctor that performed the abscess cleaning did a poor job. I should’ve listened. I recently took her because she had been experiencing some skin issues. After $300 we went home and I administered the antibiotics. She threw up after giving them to her. When I called to try and switch out the antibiotics I was told I would have to pay for the new antibiotics. I did not appreciate being nickel and dimed. I will not be returning. I went to her normal doctor back home and got 28 days of antibiotics and blood work done for less than they wanted to charge me for the new antibiotics. Save your money. There are better vets that won’t over charge for subpar care.

Solid service, responsive, like their animals. Feels like care worth the price.
