I was wondering if you guys have any silky chicks or eggs?

They have livestock feed, gardening essentials, tools, farming gear and a whole lot more. Parking is a big area, and the staff is friendly.

I always love coming here with the kids and seem to bring home a chicken every time. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.

I love this store but the opening at 10am is a bit late.

Such an awesome business and is what built Austin. They are the backbone of the Montopolis community of Austin, Texas. If you are a animal and country western lover, this place is fabulous!! It is even a tourist attraction. Our grandchildren beg to stop when they know we are close by. They are also hard to drag away from there.

Love this store! Bought a Snake Skin Belt, Stetson Hat and a Leather Belt with my name inscribed on it with Silver Hearts.

I haven’t been in the store yet but I called them to find out about horse leads and Antonio was so helpful and friendly. I was just calling to find out if they have them and general pricing and he went and pulled a few from the shelf for me to give me information on a variety of the ropes and prices. Great customer service from him. I will definitely be going there to purchase what I need because of it.

Young lady working back in the hats section was very helpful and informative, cool general store with a bit of everything, hardware section is very thorough too.

I’ve been going to Callahans general feed store for years. Ample parking friendly staff. They carry almost everything you need including feed and hey.

Plenty of baby chicks to choose from. Hay is always fresh. Customer service very helpful.

I got 5 little chicks and bought some supplies for them. Super affordable prices compared to tractor supply and they have amazing staff unlike tractor supply where all the employees are rude and dull. Will definitely come back!

Old school store with friendly customer service.

I got 10 chicks that were supposed to be hens. FOUR ended up being roosters. They wouldn't refund me or trade for hens. They took one rooster back and gave me nothing. Now I heard from other people they traded them back for hens. I wasn't even ever rude but I don't like to be treated unfairly. I will no go back for anymore gardening or poultry needs. Overpriced anyways. Also, it was my first time with chickens ever and I know it's not going to be as easy for me to add hens to my flock. Thanks for screwing me.

Love Callahan's!!! Callahan's is for me the incarnation of a Texas General Store. It got more or less everything you can think of and then some!! On top of everything else very friendly people and great prices. Thanks for being there Callahan's.

Everything you need for homesteading is here! Chickens, roosters, rabbits, goats, feed for all your furry and feathered friends. Vegetable seedlings, seeds, fertilizers, grasses. Clothes, boots, kitchen items, food storage. And the list goes on. Fresh layers every Tuesday, and fresh chicks on Thursdays.

I needed some bales of hay for a party and I remembered Callahans! My grandma used to go there to get her chicken feed. All the staff are so friendly! It hasn't changed in 30 years!

Silkie chicks for 6 bock's!? What a great place! Clean, well stocked. Hardware, feed and live poultry and so much more store! Loved the experience! Thanks Callahan's, that is so much better than our prior experiences at a Lakeway ranch!

Friendly and helpful staff. They lack an online inventory, so go there and ask. Lots of inventory in the back.

I don't know what I'd do without Callahan's. They've been a supportive force in my life for the past four years. Everything you possibly need - they have it. They've helped us with our cat, with pet birds, with farm animals. They're really great folks. You feel cared for and respected with each visit. An example of this caring tendency came up recently when one of my chickens got an eye infection. They helped diagnose the issue over the phone, and when I came into the store led me around so that I could find all the necessary items - syringes, antibiotics, electrolytes. The whole team is knowledgeable and kind. The cherry on top of the whole experience at Callahan's is that their goods are very well priced - but in most instances you cant find a price comparison because they're the only folks who have the stuff you need! Callahan's is a real treasure.
