I want to say thank you SO MUCH to everyone working here. I have a 10 year old cat with FIV who had a lot of issues and needed wound repair and antibiotics. I had called as soon as they opened in tears because I love my cat so much and I was terrified of what could happen for her. They were completely booked and they still allowed me to bring her in and have her checked out. I am so eternally grateful to them, they were so kind and answered all my questions and will be continuing follow-ups there and any other visits I may need with her and my other cat. Thank you to the entire staff for being so kind and understanding and giving my baby a second chance. You are all amazing and I will make sure everyone around me knows how grateful I am to you guys. From the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU.

I visited Bluebonnet for the first time earlier today with my dog Ruby. She had suffered an eye injury. I dealt mostly with a vet tech named Zac, as he is the one who was back and forth to my car. The clinic was undergoing remodeling, so I was unable to go in. Zac was incredibly kind, caring, informative and patient. He definitely deserved to be recognized in this review.

My cat ate the petals off of a Lily of the Incas flower overnight. Naturally I panicked, given how toxic lilies are to cats. I called Bluebonnet Animal Hospital due to their proximity. Brynn answered the phone. Even though my cat is not a patient there, she was very patient and offered me assistance (and talked me down) by directing me to the ASPCA's poison control line. The ASPCA was able to help me identify the plant and monitor my cat's symptoms, but I was too panicked to have gotten there without Brynn. My cat is just fine, and I will definitely be making future vet appointments at Bluebonnet. Thank you Brynn!

AVOID THIS VET AT ALL COSTS. We chose this vet when we got our boxer puppy and took her in for a checkup at 6 weeks old. The vet found a heart murmur on her and delivered the information to us with ZERO bedside manner. She misinformed us on the condition and made us feel hopeless, as if our puppy was going to die within a few months. Unfortunately, we had already paid for her shots package ahead of time (that’s how they get you) and couldn’t take her to our new vet for her shots. Our puppy received the first round, then weeks later went in for the second round, only to be told they were going to split up that round due to her heart condition. We took her in today for the final round that they wanted split up (parvo booster and rabies) and they never administered the shots because “we hadn’t paid for them yet, they’re a part of a different package”. We finally have had enough and are getting our puppies record sent over to Travis Country Vet (they’re so amazing!!) where she will get her parvo booster and rabies shot and they will inform us of other shots she may need since Bluebonnet Vet isn’t able to effectively communicate in an organized manner. Our puppy has been waiting for MONTHS to play with other dogs and we haven’t been able to let her because she hasn’t had the final parvo and rabies shot to allow her to play at dog parks. We are so disappointed with this place and will never recommend this vet to anyone.

I really liked bringing my dog here whenever he needed a check-up, medical care, or boarding. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and I would definitely recommend them. I do suggest, though, that you check how much your pet's prescriptions should cost elsewhere compared to what they will charge you. They charged me over $400 for a year's worth of flea/tick/heartworm meds when I can find them for about $220 several other places. I unfortunately didn't know that disparity, so please do your research!

The vets here are very understanding and patient. I have been to vets before that were very jugumental but Bluebonnet is not that way. They have never made me feel like a bad pet parent! Recommended them 100 %

About a month ago, one of our cats started to show signs of being sick. I took him to our regular vet and they could not figure out what was wrong with him. His lab work came back fairly normal, so they gave him some medication to increase his appetite and told us to come back if his health did not improve. After a couple of days, his condition did not improve, so we went back to our regular vet and we were told that he just needed to start eating and his health would improve. I was told to "force feed him" and was given more medication, antibiotics, and a medicine that would stimulate his appetite. I was told that if he started eating on his own he would be fine. The appetite stimulant worked. He started eating on his own and gaining weight. He never got back to his normal self, but it was improving for a couple of weeks. Then he started eating less and less. At this point we decided to seek out a second opinion as we were apprehensive of going to our regular vet as they could not/did not diagnosed him with anything. We called about 10 different vets in the area and Bluebonnet Animal Hospital had the earliest appointment. That appointment was a week abd a day from the time of calling. We were also told that they would put us on a cancellation list and that they would call us if we could get in any sooner. Over that week he completely stopped eating and by the time my wife brought him in for our original appointment, we knew he was at the end of his life. My wife took him and the vet tech took him inside and my wife was told to wait in her car and that the vet would call her. When the vet called (Dr. Ragland) she proceeded to treat my wife with utter disdain. She acted as if we had not done enough for our beloved cat. She told my wife that my cat needed IV fluids and nutrients. She got very upset anytime cost was brought up. My wife agreed to the IV fluids, but wanted to discuss our options as we knew it might be time to put him down. The vet refused to discuss these options with her until she gave our cat the IV fluids and nutrients. After she ran her test and gave him the fluids and nutrients she discovered that our cat had FIP, an incurable disease. Her tune changed at this point. Now she's sympathetic to my wife, but still refused to put him down. She sent our cat home with us (this was this Saturday, July 3rd) and told us to come back Monday for the euthanization. Our wonderful, sweet, loving, beautiful cat died under our son's bed Sunday night. We were devastated, our son found the body. We did what you do next and buried him in the yard. This morning we called the Vet to let them know that we needed to cancel our euthanization appointment and the phone call when something like this, "Bluebonnet animal hospital, how can we help you?" "Yes, we had an appointment today to euthanize our cat, but he died last night and we no longer need your services." "What was the cat's name?" "All Ball." "OK, I'll let the doctor know" . He hung up on my wife. I'll repeat that, HE HUNG UP ON MY WIFE AFTER THEY REFUSED TO EUTHANIZE OUR CAT TWO DAYS EARLIER. I am devastated and furious. Needless to say, we will NEVER be returning to this vet again. Money is all they seem to care about.

I called 11 other Vets and Bluebonnet was the only one who seemed to care and was able to get my Jasper seen! I am so thankful to everyone on their team and to Dr. Vela. Best Vet Ever!

Bluebonnet Animal Hospital was, fortunately for us, the closest vet to our new home when our cat fell ill a couple of years ago. Since that first incident they've continued to be incredible! They're adjustments to COVID still exhibit clear caring and concern for us and our pet. We appreciate all of the staff and would highly recommend them to anyone!

So happy to have found the perfect vet hospital for our dog, who is like our child to us. The service has been excellent every time we have to take him! Hardly any waiting time before being seen and such a friendly staff! Will definitely always take our pup here!

Lola my Yorkie was seen this past week for severe allergies. This was her second visit and due to covid protocols I wait outside and a tech comes to take her in. There is great communication with a tech then with the Dr. herself. You guys are awesome, she was not afraid and when returned to me she was not upset or distraught. She had an injeccion; last time she had her regular vaccines at a different clinic she had a huge mass, like a 4x4 inch area and it hurt, which slowly dissolved in about 6 months. This of course very upsetting to me ! This time, she acted as if nothing. Thank You for your care of my Precious Lola . . . thank you for your follow-up call. I strongly recommend this facility for they really care for our little/large furry babes. N.Etter

I went to this vet last Saturday since my regular vet is temporarily closed and they were very quick to get me an appointment scheduled. When I arrived they were very kind and helpful. I had to go back today unexpectedly to get my cat in and once again, they were very quick to respond and get him seen! I asked the tech a lot of questions and she was extremely helpful and patient. I could tell they actually cared and wanted to help. I definitely recommend them and will be returning!

I could not be more appreciative of the entire team here. The support and care that Bluebonnet AH's team provides for my pets is above and beyond. They have seen my dog through 3 major surgeries, have been extremely communicative and empathetic throughout our experience. It's so clear that everyone - from the doctors to the front desk workers - really cares about your pets and wants every animal to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Thank you for your hard work!

We have been taking our dogs to Bluebonnet Animal Hospital for years. The veterinarians are caring and knowledgable and take a thoughtful approach to treatment to help curb costs and rule out issues. The techs and office staff are super friendly and helpful. We've had several occasions that weren't quite emergencies but were urgent and they are always able to accommodate us. They are great about following up after appointments to check in on how the pups are doing after their visit. I feel like the prices are reasonable and not outrageous, especially for the level of service. We're grateful to have a vet we trust to take care of these goobers.

Bluebonnet has been my vet of choice for my Blue boy since I adopted him at 7 weeks. They’ve always been extremely professional, very responsive, and expeditious in treatment of Blue. Highly recommend them for your fur babies.

I love the care that Dr. Ragland shows for my fur babies! I moved further away from Bluebonnet Vet a year ago but still drive back for vet care!

We adopted a large dog with some fear based aggression issues and Bluebonnet has been amazing in helping to get him healthy and working with his anxiety. Dr. Deka is so patient and kind, I couldn't recommend her more highly!

I was looking for a vet to bring in my dog for updated shots and ultimately decided on here based on the reviews alone. I was very pleased with the service and greatly appreciated the communication from both the Vet and technicians to let me know what was going on since I could not be present in the appointment. I did notice some oddities in my dog after getting home but they were so accommodating allowing me to bring her back in to be sure she wasn't having any type of reaction to the shots and vaccines. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, will definitely be returning!

Everything went great with our visits. The team has fantastic communication and put us at ease every step of the way. They even follow up days later, which shows how organized and caring this business is. Definitely the best pricing around as well.

Fast and easy to set an appointment with them and they even have this app that makes everything even more convenient. My dog & I were there for maybe 25 minutes in total from when we parked to when they brought him and his treatment package back out. The vet called me back super quickly to check on Kodak and make sure everything went well which I appreciated :)

Recently moved to Austin with my little 15# rescue dog from Boise,ID. Bluebonnet Animal Hospital is close to my new home and decided to give them a try. Due to Covid, I could not meet Dr. Deka in person but had a nice chat with her over the phone. She examined my little girl and gave good advice and listened well to my concerns. A very happy visit and look forward to seeing them again (in person hopefully!) in a month or so to update my little girl's shots. I would highly recommend this Vet Clinic.
