I work here and it is the best daycare I've seen so far

BHV was such a great place for my dog. The staff (especially the owner, Vanessa) were always super helpful and wanted nothing best for Mickey! Mickey has a huge personality and can get over stimulated sometimes so I won’t be taking him there for a little bit but I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone other daycare with my dog! They are an open book and loved that about them! Fully recommend!

Let me first say I have never written a review for anything online ever, but when you come across a place like BHV Austin, you can’t help but want everyone to know how amazing this place is. My dog has been going to BHV now for over 6 months, and I have never seen her get as excited as she does when we walk into BHV for a stay. My dog is also somewhat challenging (and probably needs more accommodations than the average dog), and BHV has been so incredibly helpful, attentive, patient and sweet with her. We used to go to another daycare in Austin, and the experience I had with them versus the one with BHV is night and day. BHV really cares about each individual dog & their individual needs, which was not my experience with the other daycare. From the very beginning, BHV has always put in the extra effort to make my dog feel comfortable & thrive there. BHV has also been extremely accommodating with me and my schedule, as I’ve dealt with constraints on my schedule for different things the past 6 months. Moreover, every person who works here is incredibly kind & professional, and you can really tell they care about these pups. If you’re looking for a place to send your dog for daycare or boarding, you can stop reading reviews now and take them here, because this is the best daycare/boarding in Austin. Whenever I take my pup to BHV, I know that she is safe, happy and very well taken care of.

Attentive staff, convenient location, and they split up the dogs in terms of size, which is a huge plus to me. Really appreciate how thoughtful they are being during COVID and their wonderful care of my pup. They're also very quick to respond to any questions you may have!

Always caring for the animals and they have great choices in natural foods for dogs.

We love Barking Hound Village! My dog Roni is recently adopted and very skittish. We wanted her to get used to being on her own for part of the day, so we starting taking her to BHV daycare -- they have been amazing. It is clear that the staff is super caring, and by day 3, they greeted her when we got out of the car -- "Roni!!" The indoor space is clean, spacious, and cool, and the outdoor space has toys and misters to keep the dogs comfortable. I love that they post photos daily. By day 5, Roni was excited to arrive! We are so lucky to have found BHV.

BHV has been a wonderful daycare to our dog Jade. They are prompt to respond to any communication and are friendly to both the us and our dog. It's clear from all our interactions that they prioritize the dog's comfort, providing the best experience they can for when the pup is away from her home. Highly recommend!

Best doggy daycare hands down. No questions about it. They take such good care of my pup and are so accommodating. Friendly & caring staff. My dog whimpers with excitement every time we pull up and sleeps forever when he comes back which is a sign he plays hard while he’s there! I love how they post photos every day to Facebook too. Helps working parents stay connected during the day. 12/10 would recommend!

Have had a great experience with Barking Hound!! I LOVE that they post photo albums basically every single day to Facebook -- a great way to see your pup having fun :). Our pup loves this place and so do we! We starting taking our dog to Barking Hound Village for daycare one to two times a week in preparation for a trip that my husband and I were going on that we would need to board him for and I'm so glad we did! This is still our go-to place for daycare and boarding needs. Cooper literally does a happy dance as soon as we mention he's going to daycare! The staff has always been very considerate and we love that most know Cooper as soon as he walks through the door (or barrels through the door with tons of energy if I'm being honest). Keep it up BHV!

My dog Aachen is a nervous guy, after having had a bad childhood of neglect before I got him. The folks at Barking Hound are super good with him, both for daycare and for overnight boarding. They are professional and clearly love dogs. I can't recommend them enough.

I have been taking my dog to daycare at BHV for about 7 years now. I also board my dog at BHV when I leave town. They have been great! I know my dog is well cared for and looked after. The people at BHV are friendly and do their best to accommodate. It's a great place for pups!

Sad experience. They loved my dog and then decided to tell me he isnt allowed to come in anymore because he wasnt happy being confined in a crate. My dog had parvo and he is very scared of confined spaces. He went back a few times but was very scared to go into the place, which is slightly worrying.

I love bringing my dog here! It's not only a treat for her, its a treat for me knowing she's being socialized, exercised and well taken care of during the day. BHV is so clean, the people are great, and my pup is nice and tired when she comes home. They also post daily pictures of each dog during lunch time so you can see them at play which is fun.

They don't just like dogs, they like *my* dog—and my dog has loved BHV for over 12 years. I especially like the daily photos posted to Facebook.

The only place in Austin that I will trust to look after my dog. They take the time to get to know your dog to make sure your dog is safe and happy in their care. They take the extra special step and post pictures of your dog on Facebook, I love checking out the photos while I am at work to know that my pup is having a good day. I know my dog has a great experience because she runs to the door when I am dropping her off. The staff is friendly, smart and very resourceful.

Really loved taking our dog to Barkinghound when living close by. Only annoyance is as they've gotten more popular you now have to reserve a spot for your dog on that day most of the time, where you used to be able to just drop them off. Still, the staff is super friendly and take great care of your dog.

I have been taking my dogs here for several years. They are awesome. A couple years back, there was an instance where my Dachshund had a medical emergency while I was out of town. They made sure to get my vet and the vet emergency hospital involved. My dog is alive because they acted so responsibly.

Its because you don't accept pitbulls that I WILL start taking my dog to your day care. After reading reviews on how pitbulls mauled dogs at other daycare centers, I'm surprised anybody allows them. Read the review at South Paws and what a pitbull did to that ladies boxer. Only a pitbull would bite a dog 15 times!
