I went to penny paws for cherry eyes. The vet recommended to us that my puppy would need surgery and that they could of done it the same week. When checking out I asked is everything ready for Thursday surgery the front said oh I don’t see you in the schedule, she would get with the other staff to make sure it get put on. I get a call the next day confirming an appointment for the next following week. That appointment I had called in advance to cancel since I got an earlier appointment. So I go on explaining how I don’t have an appointment that day surgery is scheduled Thursday she doesn’t see no appointment or surgery scheduled. I explain to them how frustrating it is that everything I get a call or call up here my surgery for my pup isn’t scheduled, I tell them I live in hour away and need to prepare for for this day. Well they said they need to get with the vet surgery doctor to confirm I can have the surgery. At this point I already feel like everything Is all over the place and don’t feel comfortable. I get a call the same day the day before surgery the lady explained to me how the doctor automatically DECLINED my pup surgery because I (the owner of the dog) chooses not to neuter my puppy during surgery. I’m so angry that how can a dr decline a surgery because me as the owner chooses not to neuter my own dog. That’s ridiculous. But they explained another dr at another clinic won’t mind doing the surgery with out neuter. I didn’t even get it scheduled. And on top of all this I had payed for all the test to be done for the surgery and all for NOTHING. Spent money on test I didn’t even need to. I called many other vets and they explained to me there would never obligate me or force me to neuter my dog.

While prices are a little higher than other places, the service is exceptional, and our cats love the vets here, which is saying something. We've never waited more than ten minutes, even when we're half an hour early. And they only recommend things they actually think our cats need, and tell us what things are higher priority and what things can wait. If you're on the fence about what vet to go to, I couldn't recommend Penny Paws enough.

When they have everything in stock and working... Its great. I got a tea buuuuuut they had no lids, no straw nor ice.....tea wasnt fresh. My last visit the hot fudge spout apparently wasnt working and they opted to just gove me my sunday and hope i didnt notice... Naw... Run me my hot fudge... Now that we got that cleared up... We back to being friends ???????????? ***UPDATE*** Lara you trock???????? Seems like all the reviews I completed the last few weeks 1 or 2 get flipped. So strange sooooo now for my real review. Penny Paws is a great clinic. The staff always answers my questions and prices are fair. ????I always recommend this location.

The overall professionalism of this Penny Paws is unpleasant. First of all, we got our Boston Terrier puppy from a breeder licensed by the State of Texas and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. We showed Penny Paws the paperwork. The first thing the vet at Penny Paws said to us was we can’t guarantee those vaccines were actually given, how long they’ve been on the shelf, etc. First of all, I didn’t ask the Penny Paws vet to guarantee anything. We didn’t even go there for vaccines. We went there to get a new puppy wellness check as required by the breeder to maintain the health guarantee. I feel like Penny Paws was just trying to scare us into getting more vaccines, which for our new puppy weren’t even due that day. Furthermore, who the heck is Penny Paws licensed/certified by? How the heck do any pet owners know that Penny Paws is actually giving vaccines in office when they take the pet to the back? How the heck do we know Penny Paws vaccines haven’t expired? I understand what the Penny Paws vet was eluding to, but trying to diminishing the character of the licensed breeder we got our puppy from was highly uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. Like… is that Penny Paws’ opinion of all breeders? If so, then where the heck do you recommend people get their dogs from? If dog owners don’t have dogs, then that’s a huge chunk of their revenue gone. Again, I feel like it was disguised scare tactic and very distasteful. The Penny Paws vet could have easily kept the opinion I don’t ask for to herself or chose better words, such as “I see the puppy’s records from the licensed breeder shows he got the first round of vaccines already. While we can’t guarantee these vaccines, as an advocate of a healthier pet population at large, we appreciate you going to a licensed breeder.” Needless to say, we will never be going back. I don’t trust business people, or anyone, who uses baseless accusations to diminish others. Penny Paws sells enough vaccines at their outdoor clinic events that they don’t need to be trying to push vaccines on pet owners in the office especially if that’s not what I came there for in the first place. I’ve read several reviews on Google and Yelp that said Penny Paws has a habit of over vaccinating animals to the point where some healthy animals have immediately died after they received Penny Paws vaccines. So, obviously it’s one of two things, Penny Paws vaccines were expired and dangerous, or Penny Paws is administering vaccines animals don’t need. Either way, it’s disgusting and they should be held accountable.

I've been to Penny Paws with young dogs all the way to putting an old one to sleep. Overall my experiences have been great. Everyone has been nice, honest and compassionate and their love of animals shows. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a vet.

Wow. So a couple of weeks ago took our new dog here for $400 worth of shots and a checkup and a bath. Forgot to ask about food recommendations for this guy while I was there. Called them today and was told by a technician I would have to set up an appointment to discuss. Penny Paws turned into lots of dollars paws. Careful folks. Choose a vets office wisely.....

Very convenient, friendly staff. I would have loved a print out or email of the possible side effects to my pet, I only received invoice. Later that night her face and eye was swollen and everyone was really scared and monitoring her. After a google search it appears that she may have had an allergic reaction or it could be a side effect from the shots. Knowing this information would have been helpful.

This place told me my dog might have a heart problem and tried to charge me $700 for an echo but when I took her to our other vet in Bedford they said she had a strong heart, Penny paws also did not try working with my dog to be friendly they called her a problem dog and said the only way to cut her nails was with sedation but my other Bedford vet gave us some meds to help with anxiety and told us that they would love for us to come by just for petting, penny paws is not a vet with your pets best interests at heart
