I bring my dog Apollo here pretty frequently since he has lots of skin issues. I always have a great experience and they are always quick to get him seen for his appointments and they genuinely care about him. Their team is always so nice and Dr. Hoglund and Amanda especially are always so welcoming and give him lots of love during his exams! He used to be nervous all the time and now he willingly jumps in the car. They have gone through lots of options to try and help him and have also been really considerate towards our budget. I think they can be expensive sometimes, but it’s actually a pretty decent price comparatively and they have been able to make adjustments to the treatment based on what we can afford at the time. Apollo still has his breakthrough problems, but he looks and acts like a brand new dog!

Our experience was a very positive one. We had been to VCA once before and because our dog was aggressive, it wasnt the best experience. I was a little apprehensive to return but so very glad we did. We saw Dr Hoglund and both he and his assistant were so laid back and friendly and put us all, including the patient, at ease! He was able to perform the exam with no problem. They explained the situation and let us chose the options that best fit our budget and would help our senior dog feel better. We never felt pressured and I am so grateful for his consideration in regards to that. Dr Hoglund and his team definitely won us over!

They always take amazing care of all of our fur babies!! ???? They are caring, and understanding. My anxious fur baby even lets them take care of him ????.

Called to get an appointment for a heartworm test and an allergy shot could not get in for 10 days or so as that was the first appointment. Asked to get some allergy pills meanwhile told I could not get them as I had not been in there a year I told her that’s incorrect I was there July 9 and today is June 24, Then she changes it do you have to be there every six months to get them I refuse to go to a place that doesn’t want to help your dog.

Our 16 year old dog has been going to this vet since she was a puppy. When she was suffering and needed to be put down, they didn’t have any openings for a few days. She was suffering greatly. We had to find a new vet after sixteen years to put our poor dog down. Unacceptable. We will never take another dog here.

I wouldnt want tk go anywhere else Edit to this year old review : May 25 2021 My sweet Honey crossed the rainbow bridge with VCA and after years of attending I think it was a very difficult decision for everyone They were so kind and courteous of the entire situation. It can be as quick as you'd like it to be or as long as you need, lots of grieving space for you and your loved ones even during covid-19. I did the private cremation which they use a wonderful company for that send me lots of loving letters and a charm. I also received a personal letter from all signed at VCA which really touched my heart after such a huge loss Thank you so much for taking care of my family members with as much love as I did -J.Peppers

For 2 years my pets have been patients here at VCA Mercedes in Benbrook. As far as I know my pets have always been treated properly. Personally... I have not. Some of the staff is so abrasive and rude, there are one or two nice staff members to make up for the grumpy ones. Dr. Bearden has always been friendly and knowledgeable and up until today I would have said the same for Dr. Hoglund. Which is why I always came back for the abuse from the staff. Today, I asked the rude staff member on the phone if I could to speak with a manager or someone that would be able to help me with the way the staff has been treating myself and my family members. I am always on time, I always pay my bills there's no reason for this behavior. After a hold Dr. Hoglund picked up the phone with an attitude, stated he liked his staff and asked where I wanted my records to be faxed... and while I was giving him that information he hung up on me. Classy and professional. Overall, VCA Mercedes reminds me of California. It's expensive, it looks nice, one of the first faces you'll see when you walk in is a miserable blonde, and when you have a different opinion or believe in a conservative treatment plan .... you are belittled, yelled at and told not to speak.

we haven't used anyone else yet for the K-9 kids who have blessed us with the honor of taking care of them we adopted a shepherd mix from nextdoor.com and a little chihuahua well she had puppies in our bed two boys regions love them maybe that's the wrong terminology but get boys fixed I know I wouldn't like it so I'm certain they won't neither but age for the betterment of their well-being I'll try and respond to comments or concerns you can reach me at this number y'all have a great day enjoy your pets them take them for a walk and every now and then change up their dog food workout I know I don't want to eat pizza everyday everyday so I figure they don't want to eat whatever dog food you're feeding on my every day every day this breed kind and considerate that's just a request chain tell you how to treat your dogs and sherbet okay y'all have a wonderful memorial day weekend by

Awesome staff that treat the animals awesome. Call backs and check ups with test results exactly when they say and they try to get you the cheapest most affective treatment for anything. I love them

If you have an injured dog take them somewhere else!!! 5 weeks ago I took my puppy here and was told he would never walk normal again and that he had a high possibility that his leg was broken and that it needed to be amputated. After finding out an X-ray costs $400 I went somewhere else to get a second opinion where another vet said there was no indication what so ever that his leg was broken. 5 weeks later my puppy is no longer dragging his foot and walking normal again. I’m so glad I decided not to chop off my dogs leg because of this place!!

If you can afford it I highly recommend careclub if you have an elderly dog. I can take her for a check up whenever I feel nervous for her. Dr. Bearden is literally the best vet I have ever had. I dont know what I would have done without him. I certainly wouldn't have my babygirl with me anymore. Every day I have with her is one more day I owe to the team at Mercedes Place VCA. I dont live or work nearby anymore but still travel across town to go to them specifically.

Thoughtful, caring, professional and just wonder people work here at Benbrook VCA. Have cared for all my fur family members for years and when the inevitable time comes to help them cross over we as a family really believe you couldn't ask for a more compassionate group of professionals help this tearful process. Showing heartfelt compassion during, immediately after and just recieved loving hand signed card from staff almost 2 weeks after our loss. Will always take our 4 legged ones to these wonderful professionals and you should too.

They are very friendly, knowledgeable and loving to my dog. I feel safe and happy to bring her here!

I recently had to say good bye to our beloved 17yr old family dog and everyone there were so wonderful and caring and made our tragic moments the best they could be.

Waited for a really long time because they were really busy but I did have a appointment. Everyone was nice though. It was really expensive.

They are thorough. Dr. Burke saw both my chihuahuas and was knowledgeable and compassionate. They gave my dog a great cleaning and extractions and even had a welcome sign for him the day of his procedure. Very cute!

Good people working there and a very nice building and great vet only thing is a little bit to pricey for me. I do recommend this place

If I could leave a negative star I would I will never go back into this butcher shop I brought my dog into get his nails clipped first they clipped them close and he bled and today I had to take him j to the ER because they didn't even bother clipping his dew nails and one of them grew up into his pad they nothing but a bunch circus monkeys working there

Friendly, clean, and organized. They list all the pet's names that are scheduled to be seen that day and put it on display outside the entance! I love seeing all the names people choose to name their pets. Our yorkshire terrier is "Rod Stewart" he totally has the real Rod's hair... the day of our appointment there was a "Tom Petty" and some other singer seen as well. Coolest thing is they text you instead of call to let you know what is going on and to check-up on your animal after the visit. I love that! Best Vet clinic I have been to.
