It's not easy to say goodbye to your fur baby. I'm so glad that Dr Henderson came to our home so that I didn't have to take my boy into the veterinary facility for his last moments. She was so polite and made a very difficult time for us bearable.

We unfortunately had to put our beloved Nala down and no better a fitting and dignified manner than Dr Henderson coming to our home to allow us to say our final farewells. She was so kind and explained every step. We will miss Nala immensely but her send off was fit for the queen she is.

It was time to let our old dog, Max, go. I decided to try an at home euthanasia service, and I was so glad I called Dr. Henderson. She was so kind and caring, and our dog loved her. The whole experience was stress free and relaxed. Our dog was never upset or in pain. This is the ONLY way I'll ever put an animal down again if I can help it. She also made a cast of his paw, so sweet. I cannot recommend this service enough. So wonderful, and very reasonably priced.

I write this three hours after our sweet Lily (golden retriever) crossed the rainbow bridge. Dr. Henderson was incredibly compassionate, understanding and helpful throughout the process. She treated Lily as if she was her own, with love and tenderness. Words cannot express how at ease we were with the decision to call Beyond the Rainbow Pet Hospice. To do this in the comfort of our own home, knowing our Lily could relax made the whole process so worthwhile. I HIGHLY recommend.

I would recommend to anyone. One of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. The doctor made me feel at peace with my decision. Was very patient and explained the whole process as it was happening.

I don’t know where to begin with our praise for this organization; our beloved 11.5 year old shepherd mix developed degenerative myelopathy and the time had come to say goodbye; we struggled with the how, when & where of doing so, and were so glad to come across beyond the rainbow pet hospice via a google search; they deserve every 5 star review here; we called them on Sunday (mothers day) and left a message, and their sweet, kind coordinator called us back within an hour; she gave us an option for the very next day. On Monday, dr. Heinemann came to our home and was an absolute Angel; she immediately made us feel at ease as well as our dog; she comforted us, reassured us that we were making the right decision and was professional and thorough every step of the way; she had such a calming way about her, answered all of our questions, and kept us informed every step of the way. The whole process was so peaceful; we were able to feed our sweet Bruce treats and comfort him with our touch and words as he passed on, and the whole experience just felt like he drifted peacefully and comfortably off to sleep; all in the comfort of our home with his last moments being on his favorite bed around the people he loved. Thank you all so much for giving us this gift. We are so grateful for you.

Joanna was amazing, compassionate, patient, and caring - to both our dog and our family. I cannot put words to how appreciative we are for her being available so quickly and for her help and services.

She provided the best possible experience that could have been provided. She was caring, not rushing, talked slowly and calmingly, was extremely comforting, and gentle. Very professional and very understanding. I don't think I can say enough good things about how everything went. Our dog was struggling to breath and couldn't sleep and was ready to have his final rest. We were extremely grateful we could have that done at home where he was comfortable and calm and we didn't have to put him through any extra mental/physical trama

It’s a day I never wanted to think about but being prepared is never a horrible idea. I cannot recommend Beyond the Rainbow Pet Hospice enough. They were so compassionate over the phone and Dr. H was one of the sweetest angels I have ever met. She talked so quietly the entire time, gently explained the process, reassured us of our decision and most importantly - loved on our Jack as if she had known him a lifetime. As soon as Jack saw her he managed to gather enough strength to wag his tail because he always knew “good people.” She stepped back to let us take our time with Jack as he fell asleep and then again after he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I was previously against home euthanasia because I didn’t want “that” memory but now I’ll never do anything else. There are NO bad memories associated, and Jack was able to fall asleep in the comfort of his own home with those he loved (Including his fursiblings). We cried our eyes out without having to worry about being in a vet clinic or managing to drive home. Dr. H let us cover him in his favorite blanket to leave and didn’t rush us during our final goodbyes. In fact, she even stepped outside until we were ready. That morning when she called me that she was close to arriving I’ll never forget her words. She said, “I’m on my way to help Jack. I’ll be there soon.” and that’s exactly what she did. To choose this as a career takes an emotional level of strength I cannot comprehend. But to do it with the compassion she had makes her the most selfless person I’ve ever met. I hope this is able to help anyone who is ever faced in the situation where it’s time to say goodbye to their baby.

We want to thank Dr. Henderson for her compassion, care and empathy in a difficult time of putting our dog Pebbles to rest at our home. I can not emphasize the love and care she provided to all of us. Thank you Dr. Henderson and from our 1st point of contact Beyond the Rainbow is truly a special business.

Dr. Henderson took great care of my baby and our family during Hank’s passing earlier this year. Last night I lost another baby after a rapid decompensation and he had to be euthanized at an emergency clinic. I wish so badly that he could have passed in the quiet, calm of home. This is a wonderful service these veterinarians provide. It must be incredibly difficult to deal with grieving families and loss, but I am so grateful the service exists.

First, if you're reading this review, I'm sorry, and my prayers go with you and yours. I highly recommend Beyond the Rainbow. Dr Henderson has helped two of our pets pass, and both times the process has been smooth, compassionate, and respectful. Maybe we were lucky, but both times we were able to get appointments within the same day. If you can, we recommend choosing an at-hone euthanasia option, especially if you have other pets. That way, your pet passes on in a familiar setting with their pack around them.

Beyond the Rainbow Pet Hospice is a first-rate service. They were punctual and informative during our initial inquiry and as our kitty neared her end. Dr. Henderson replied promptly to a Sunday call for help and was at our home the next day. Her manner was very comforting throughout. To have saved our 16 year-old the anxieties of a 15 minute drive to the vet, likely dog encounter in the lobby and clinic setting was a dignified end for an old friend and so very worthwhile.

This was a very hard decision but after 19yrs of love our fur baby was tiered. I recommend using beyond the rainbow and having your animal comfortable in their home. It was a very peaceful passing and the doctor was very compassionate and loving!

Our experience with Beyomd the Rainbow was the Rainbow we needed on our very dark day. We will always know that we made the best decision for our beloved Turbo. We were able to hold him and be with him for the most peaceful passing. He deserved the best and because of the Angels at Beyond the Rainbow Turbo had the best! They came out on a Sunday evening and took such special care of all of us! I highly recommend using Beyond the Rainbow if you are ever in need.

It wasn't easy saying goodbye but Dr. Henderson was very empathetic and reliable. She explained everything to me before it happened. She unintentionally reassured me that it was time and then very sweetly put my girl to sleep. It's such a hard time but I'm happy I wound using this company.

Best decision. I work on equipment at vet clinics and see all the various places. I've seen a few dogs put down in the clinic and feel for them. They are always scared and I can only imagine their anxiety. This way, the whole family was able to hold our dog and comfort him at home in the comfort of his yard. He had no anxiety and no discomfort. We were given all the time we needed while he was sedated. I would have never forgivinen myself if I just took him into a clinic. I feel I have not only given him a great life ,as he gave us, but gave him a loving and peaceful end to our time together. I highly recommend Beyond the Rainbow.

Very polite care for your animals

We made the hard call the let our fur baby go in order to end her suffering. Dr. Henderson was so helpful in helping us make this decision and then helping us free our Gracie from her pain. She came to our home and kindly walked us through the process. She made sure Gracie was comfortable and we were aware of all that would or could happen throughout the process. She handled our Gracie with so much kindness and care throughout and answered all of our 4 year old’s questions. We are so grateful for the service she provided to help our furry friend and our family through this difficult time. This was a far better experience, letting our fur baby go in the comfort of her home, than having to sit in a sterile, scary room to say our goodbyes.

They made this situation the best it could possibly be. I couldn't have asked for better care.

Dr Heinemann is an angel on earth. I cannot express how much she made this as peaceful as it could be and reassured me that it was the right choice for my Toby. I cannot imagine all the heartbreak these amazing vets see on a day to day basis.

Her professionalism, compassion, sensitivity and understanding nature helped us through this heartbreaking and devastating process. From the first call to set up an appointment for hospice to help our Harley cross over, we received nothing but compassion and understanding with our hard decision. Samantha was very kind with setting our appointment. Dr. Henderson listened to our stories about Harley enough to remember he did not like his head covered as she was taking him out. Dr. Joanna Henderson made that possible. She was kind, professional, and made everything easy and peaceful. We are so, so very grateful that this service was available. Gut wrenching experience but Dr. Henderson was so very wonderful. She loved on our little girl and helped us understand the process and took care of the details with the crematorium. No one ever wants to be in the position of having to let their beloved pet go but if you do, we highly recommend using this in home service. We have had other dogs we have had to say goodbye to but we found this time was something extra special that deserved special treatment and Dr. Henderson delivered. Dr. Henderson consulted with us 3 days before the visit and again the day before. When she arrived she examined our 13 year old Maltese to ensure that it was his time. She reassured us we were making the right decision - which anyone having to make this decision can relate to as a rollercoaster ride. She explained all of the steps and what may occur and calmly soothed all of us, including Charlie, with her sweet voice. Our boy crossed the rainbow bridge with calmness and peace in the comfort of our home unlike our previous experiences in cold vet offices. We absolutely would use this service again.
