The team at Isla Vet are extremely helpful and caring and I always know my babies are in good hands here. Dr. Josh is thorough in his explanations and care plans and always gives options to ensure you are comfortable. I would highly recommend Isla boutique to anyone needing great care for their pets.

Isla is like a place called home. The minute you walk in the doors you feel the love for you and your fur babies. Dr.Josh provides you with the comfort in knowing he is there for us. The staff is the same as well. Everyone is fantastic and I would strongly recommend Isla is the place for your babies and you to be apart of the family.

I have to give another review to this place. This team is AMAZING. I love their pet portal so that I can message the trqn when something is wrong or giving them an update or prescription refill. They get back to you in a more than timely manner and I get to speak to someone on the phone! I have a dog who needed those medication and they listened to me and trusted my dog mom experiences and were more than understanding. I really feel like they have my babies best interests at heart. They were amazing! They had no pressure, hands on, and fantastic customer service. I didnt feel rushed. I did not feel like I was being talked down to and they made me feel like as an animal parent that I was the expert. I cant recommend them enough! My babies loved them

I do not recommend them for veterinary services. I went in strictly for them to care for a few red patches on my dogs skin and was talked into a thorough examination. They gave me a list of services they needed to perform which I agreed and my vet bill came out to $200. They told me they needed to grow the fungus on my dogs skin to determine what it was. I got a call within a few days to check on her response to creams and meds and they said they'd call me back within 2 weeks with a solution. I ended up having to call them. They apparently only did a ring worm test which was negative and wanted me to go back for further testing and additional fees. There are more reputable vets out there that will do comprehensive exams for the original issue and better follow up care. It seems they waste your time with comprehensive well exams and never treat the underlying issue which will cause you to pay for unnecessary medical treatment plus repeat visits. 10/3/21 Update Since Google does not allow me to reply to the vets response, let me clarify his misconceptions. His staff obviously did not relay information correctly or document my dogs check in because I very clearly stated that the prescription lotion was not working nor was the OTC recommendation by the vet. They told me that I needed to wait for the culture to be completed and they could have a better idea of the issue affecting my dog. I waited over a week for a response and did not receive one. After calling them to follow up on the issue, I received an email from his vet team stating it wasn't ringworm which I had already known from my visit. So I was surprised that is the only test they conducted when I assumed paying for them to regrow the fungus would help determine her issue and treatment plan. While a comprehensive exam is always ideal with first vet visit, to walk away without a positive identification of her issue in my opinion shows that a young veterinarian and a modern practice does not always trump experience. Ill not stoop to the doctors response regarding my religious beliefs on my social media profile or other commentary. Just beware of the potential to go in for a visit and walk away without resolution for your beloved pets issue.

I just love this place so much!!! I started coming here earlier this year shortly after adopting my little one and over the months they have kept up with the great service! The entire staff is nice and courteous. They are very patient with my now big hyper baby and I never had any issues with him after leaving this place. Dr. Josh is great!! He takes time to discuss the pet's needs and the visit in detail. I've also dealt with nurse Mallory. She is super kind and patient and takes time to explain everything. Angela was good too; great communication! She's not there anymore but Kim is very good to interact with as well. I can get quite talkative (look at the length of my review), they never rush me and they take their time to answer all of my questions and chat about my baby. They have good professional recommendations and work with you on preferences all while taking good care of your pet. I have probably dealt with other staff members as well, so sorry for any unmentioned names. Everyone is great and very thoughtful! You guys are well appreciated for the help and care provided during his growth and development. I know this is really for my baby's needs but I always leave feeling like we were both well taken care of! I am 100% satisfied. Highly recommend!!! Everyone at Isla Vet was amazing! Dr. Josh and his team took the time to listen to my concerns, and discussed everything in detail. The place is very clean and spacious. I would totally recommend this vet.

Dr. Josh is absolutely amazing. He found that my dog had Cushing's disease after another vet in North Dallas told me it was too hard to test for the disease. I have her on medication and this should prolong her life and make it more enjoyable. Highly recommend Dr. Josh and his team. The communication is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Both times I have interacted with this hospital, I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Kathy. The staff provided me with false information on THREE occasions and Kathy's job is to ensure she cleans it up and charges you. I called to ask for two vaccination shots, rabies and DA2PP and was told the amount over the phone was $45. I said perfect let's schedule. When I get there, I am charged $65 for a physical exam, which I literally saw the vet examine my dog in three places and that's it. I've went to Vets in Houston and Dallas and I've never saw a hospital or clinic charge that much money for nothing. Kathy's explanation, "we are not a low cost Vet or Banfield". I explained, at least at a low cost Vet, after an examination, I will receive my dogs chart, meaning how much she weighs, her height, her age, etc. There examination, is literally a waste of time and money with no explanation. I paid the exam cost and also the two vaccination shots and I was told, I am covered for her next time and will not require a vaccination. Boy were they wrong, AGAIN. I called today and I was told, instead of $65, they will charge me 1/2 off this time for her Bordetella shot. I explained I was just there less than a month ago. Kathy told me, well that is why we told you to have her receive the Bordetella vaccine the last time. I explained I did not financially have it available since I was charge the extra money that I was not prepared to pay, but the staff, again, told me my dog was covered. Which of course, was a lie! The staff is clueless, they will get you in the door with false pricing, so that Kathy can go a head and finish you off with the CORRECT over charge that the staff acts as if they do not know about. I'm good on my end, what I paid my last visit, I could have paid Banfield in three months including all her required shots.

Beyond impressed with Dr. Josh and our recent visit. I would classify myself (as would my husband), a “crazy dog mom”. Dr. Josh took an incredible amount of time getting to know us and our furbaby “Wrigley”, answering my myriad of questions, and treating us as if we were part of the family. The entire staff was top notch and I am so excited we found Isla! I would be remiss if I didn’t add that Wrigley can’t wait to go back to see his new friends! Thank you Dr. Josh and the entire Isla team!

My family and I are so happy and relieved to find such an amazing vet clinic for our two cats we adore and love. Dr Josh and his team work so well together to diagnose, treat, prevent, and communicate with us about our two cats health and needs. Both cats are at varying different ages, one is 11 and the other is 2 and he prevented my eldest cat from being put down if I had taken her to my old vet. It’s always quiet and there isn’t dust or hair anywhere in their clinic it’s exceptionally clean and sanitary. Also, this is the only vet I have ever been to that is affordable and not full of merchandise to distract and try and sell. If you love your pet this is the place for y’all you will both be in caring hands.

In the Spring of 2019, I noticed a “Veterinary Boutique Hospital” sign on some new retail construction near our neighborhood. In all honesty, I scoffed at the idea of a “boutique” veterinary clinic. Something to fleece the affluent suckers in the area, no doubt. If I’d known a secondary definition of boutique (“a small company that offers highly specialized services or products” per Merriam-Webster), I might have been less skeptical. After the practice opened, they mailed out promotional fliers offering a free exam, so the next time one of our cats was due for a checkup and vaccinations, I made an appointment there. Boy, was I ever mistaken about the concept of the place! Rather than the usual vet clinic practice of overscheduling and having several pets and humans piling up in the waiting area, they make a point of allowing plenty of time for the techs, nurses, and the doctor himself to attend to your pet, and the staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. There’s also not the usual cacophony going on right outside the exam room you’re in, which helps with the stress levels of both the pets and their humans. Dr. Josh Sanabria is nothing short of wonderful. He explains everything about the exam, always asks if you have any questions or concerns, and then offers you the various options (given there’s more than one) for treatment. On top of that, they work up a tally sheet for you to look at, so you know up front how much the potential treatment and medications will be. Their prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of care you and your pet are receiving. Dr. Josh is the owner of Isla Veterinary Boutique Hospital, which allows him to control and maintain their high standards. It’s obviously paid off, as Isla has won the Dallas Voice’s Readers’ Award for best vet in 2020 and again in 2021. That’s quite an accomplishment considering they’ve been open for only a little over two years!

SO happy I finally found a great vet in Dallas! I have lived here for 3 years and Isla Vet is actually the fourth vet I've been too. Every other one just treated my cat like a number, just tried to get through her appt as quickly as possible without giving her any love or attention. That is NOT the case here. Dr Josh and his team go above and beyond with your pet. They called the pets "your baby" and that is truly how they treated my cat. Dr Josh did a great job explaining everything to me, was so transparent, and didn't try to sell anything. I got great care for a great price! They gave my kitty so much individualized love and truly took their time with her. I will only recommend this vet to people and will only be coming here for my cat's care! Thank you, Isla Vet!!

I have 2 babies that are patients of Dr. Josh- a 14 year old senior baby and a 6 month old puppy. Their needs are very different but I always feel comfort knowing they are in the hands of this top notch team. You can always expect a welcoming smile & incredible customer service. The team at Isla is the absolute best and second to none. Dr. Josh’s dedication to quality care is exceptional.  He is sincere, humble and honest. He has an unmatched ability to communicate and ensure understanding and alignment. We feel very lucky and have every intention to be patients for life.

I took my pitbull Canelo to Isla Veterinary clinic after being with City Vet for 4 years. I’m so happy with this decision. Dr. Josh is incredible. He’s very knowledgeable and takes his time to explain everything. He even emailed links to read more about my dogs condition. His bedside manner is amazing and the best I’ve ever experienced. He’s very kind and caring. Truly a blessing and I’m very thankful to have found Dr. Josh. The staff is also great and my baby Canelo is in good hands with them. Thank you Dr. Josh! God bless you!

Took my newly adopted cat here for a check up. Staff was very friendly and vet was very attentive. We are definitely sticking to this place. Liked the vibe.

Dr Josh and his staff are simply amazing. I have a 10 month old Rottweiler that loved his visit. I will never go anywhere else. The responsiveness to my request for an appointment was so appreciated, they got me in right away. Upon arrival the staff treated my furbaby and myself like part of the family. Dr Josh spent so much time talking me through everything I needed to know and was so caring for not just my Loki puppy but also for me. Over the years I have been to many Vets but at Isla Veterinary the pricing was amazing and the professional service outstanding. I doubt I can express how much I am impressed but will simply say bring your babies to Dr Josh and his amazing staff you will not regret the decision.

Very impressed with time given for my little Kylar's exam and immunizations! She's a rescue and very skittish, but was relaxed with staff and a pleasant experience was the outcome! Thank you for your special "bedside manor" with us parents, y'all have a great group ????????

My dog was not feeling well, so I had to take her in. Isla Veterinary recently opened near where we live, so I made an appointment and took her in. They were so friendly, talked in detail about options, did a great job explaining things and let me choose the course of treatment that I was comfortable with. My pet recovered well and I am very thankful to Isla and their team. I will be going back.

Good knowledgeable people,just a bit pricey

I’ve been very happy with how Dr. Josh and his team are handling my beloved cat, Arwen, an 18-pound tabby with a personality the size of Middle Earth whose age could be measured in Elvish years. She’s had difficult encounters with vets before, which usually ended in towels, lots of hissing and a display of combat prowess worthy of Legolas taking down an elephant. So it was a delight to hear about Isla Vet’s stress-free philosophy, and to be presented during the visit with several options for handling Arwen that would respect her Balrog-sized sense of self importance. Dr. Josh took an interest in her from the start and wanted to hear all about her life at home, including her preferred foods, toys and even her obsessive attachment to her favorite chair. Arwen is just a liiiiittle bit territorial, after all, and that chair is her life, y’all. She defends that chair like her namesake defending Frodo at the Ford of Rivendell. If you want it, come and claim it. This is helpful to know for anyone working with her in an enclosed space, such as a vet clinic, since she sees all spaces as hers and anyone in them that she doesn’t know is less welcome than a Nazgûl. I was also pleased with Dr. Josh’s flexibility in rescheduling Arwen’s follow up appointment when, just before the appointment time, she planted her feet and refused to enter her pet carrier. No amount of pushing or coaxing would get her in, and would likely have led to the carrier door breaking like the shards of Narsil. She had already deigned to enter it once that week, and that was that. We could ask no more of her. So if the struggle of taking your pet to the vet is starting to look like the Battle of Helm’s Deep, don’t despair! The dawn is coming. Look to the East (side of Farmers Branch). And let Isla Veterinary Hospital be a light for you in dark places, when all other lights go out.
