Caring staff. Doctor was excellent, gentle, and humorous. Pricing was excellent.

Just left the clinic. And Dr. Eddleman is so nice, compassionate and knowledgeable. They saw my dog the same week that I called and were just so kind to us as soon as we arrived. The techs were nice and the receptionist was nice too. Loved my experience here.

Dr Eitleman is simply the best vet in Abilene. I have used many vets in Abilene including the popular ones, none of them compare to Dr Eitleman. His prices are very reasonable and he knows animals!! No unnecessary testing and the expenses that go with those test. His front office staff and techs are also the best. They have been there as long as I can remember. Southwest Animal Clinic is Abilenes best veterinarian clinic!

They take great care of my dog. Great place with super caring people.

I just had my 16 year old cat put to sleep. They are they most gentle, compassionate caring people. I took my 14 y/o dog there in 2018 for the same thing. Both passings were treated with solemn respect and I felt much empathy and concern from the staff. (Sadly in April 2020 my 14 y/o cat passed at a different vet, the experience was very different) I can't recommend Southwest Animal Clinic highly enough. They care about you and your pet.

My German Shepherd, has been coming here for awhile and they are the friendliest and most helpful people. I absolutely love the vet, he understands the needs of the patient and is gentle with them. I would recommend this vet to everyone.

We took my big fur baby Cooper in for some issues, and the staff is AMAZING!! I'm so grateful for all of them. Extremely nice and affordable. And they treated Cooper so good!!!

I made an appointment to have my best friend put down and the dr went out of town . Not happy. Made a bad day worse.

The staff is really friendly; and they did good work, but my dog had a procedure done here and they charged double the what another vet in town charged my mom for the same procedure with her dog.

Dr. Eitleman and his staff have cared so much for my pets. They are always friendly and work wonderfully with my pets.

Great vet and staff, but they are expensive. $45 office fee per pet plus the cost of services. I do believe they have payment plans for high cost services. The vet is very fair and extremely experienced. He will not order labs or xrays he doesn't absolutely need.

Dr Barry Eitelman is a very knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian. Used his services for 30 years, and heartily recommend.

Best veterinary clinic I ever used. A comforting experience knowing Doctor Berry Eitelmen and Staff are so dedicated to the care of my remaining pet .

********UPDATE******* After doing more research, I concluded that as pet owners it should be a rule of thumb NOT TO DEWORM SMALL 9 OZ & 3 WEEKS OF AGE KITTENS. Some vets don’t practice deworming on kittens younger than 6 weeks!! THERES A REASON, because DEATH is a very real possibility. Please consider this! My poor kitten died of organ failure after being dewormed by this vet at an extremely young age !! She was way too little and WAY too young & im beyond pissed. This vet only cares about $$$$$. Please do not risk your pets life over this, I thought I was doing the right thing but I was wrong .. do not rely on the vet. If I had done my research I could’ve declinded giving her dewormer & possibly saved her life.. I’m not the only owner who has gone through this either, if you don’t believe it research it yourself ... I’m still in shock. I will not be going here again. ********************** I loved the staff... but it only seemed like the doctor was milking us for money which I let him do cause I only want the best for my fur babies. Did some research later on & he was definitely milking us for money. He was like a car salesman he wouldn’t stop talking. The kittens I got from the shelter had a multitude of issues, ear mites, fleas, AND worms... I was so upset. He gave the dewormer & the ear mite solution to both kittens. One was 1 month 26 days and the other was only 3 weeks. He said the dewormer was harmless to cats, but not a day later my youngest most lively kitten was dead. We found her in the morning. I was devastated & we’re convinced it was the dewormer, she wasn’t passing ANY of the food she gulped down. All she was passing was bile. I’m so upset, he also didn’t mention my kittens needed a follow up treatment for ear mites (which would’ve been nice to know cause that’s money I’m wasting down the drain). My kitten was scratching so hard I had to put a cone on him cause he started bleeding. Not even the flea treatment he gave my kitten worked. He still had fleas which we decided to just take care of on our own & it’s working. I did some research & for the pet owners that actually look into their vet visits i wouldn’t recommend this place. I recommend the Dyess Vet to anyone who can get on base. All I can say for sure is, DO NOT BRING VERY YOUNG PETS TO THIS PLACE.
