Such an incredible place. It was our first time ever going there and I appreciate the compassion and knowledge the staff had toward our new baby. Thank you, she is recovering perfectly.

They correctly diagnosed the problem with my dog. However, they charged me a disgustingly exorbetent price for the visit and the medicine. $80 for 2 pills that I could get a bottle of 30 elsewhere for $15.

Wonderful place to take your pet, I took my dog, they came out talked to me talk to my dog, took him with her, the vet came out in 15-20 min told me what was wrong, very nice, explained everything. Brought my dog back out. Was in and out in 30-40 minutes. They was very nice.

Call MedVet for your pet emergency!!! Used to avidly recommend Appalachian , previously had them 5 star rated (used them since they opened).... I'll never do it again! I called with an emergency that my cat was having trouble breathing. They informed me that they had no openings and couldn't see her?! I've called before and they also wouldn't respond to a friend's choking horse. I thought it was a fluke but apparently not. Please remove "hospital" from your name if you won't help with emergencies....

Just got home from our first appointment and I couldn't have been more satisfied. My dog Jules is a handful to say the least, but proved to be no problem for the staff. I was worried COVID would make communication with the dr hard and just a game of telephone while I waited in the parking lot, but dr Dunnigan came out to my car MULTIPLE times to keep me in the loop and talk about plans of treatment. Really meant the world. Everything was reasonably priced and they were very thorough. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to anyone looking for a vet in the area!

We are so pleased with the care our Buddy gets. Everyone is so caring and always willing to help in anyway they can. Very professional, dog always happy to go there for boarding. We are so thankful we found this place. We can now go away and not worry. Buddy is almost 11 years old and blind in one eye. He us very well taken care of. Thank's to all the wonderful people who work there. You're the best.

I have been going to AAH for about 3 years with all of my pets and I've had very positive experiences every time. My cat just recently became unexpectedly sick and AAH went above and beyond to help save my cats life. I knew they were caring people but they really truly have your pet's best in mind. So thankful.

Some of their vets are better than others...but overall best vet I've gone to in 30 years. Willing to help...2 changes i wish they would institute - more preventative medicine - drugs are not the only way - diet (no vet i've ever been to talks enough about diet), homeopathy (very effective in dogs/cats), AND OPEN ON SATURDAY at least 1/2 a day . :)

I called my dogs vet, AAH and said my dog was very ill and asked for them to see her. The receptionist said I should take her back to Med Vet, that AAH didn't have time to deal with her situation today. Wow.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice and all of the staff.! They are always professional and take such wonderful care of our furry family members. Even during Covid they have been super engaging and go above and beyond to make sure our pets are given the best care possible.

My husband and I have been bringing our fur children here for years. The staff is always so incredibly kind and they all genuinely care about the animals. We now live an hour and a half away but we still drive here because we love the doctors so much. Thank you, Appalachian Animal Hospital for all that you do.

We use the vet for Lunas needs so we decided to drop her off for boarding and playcations. Appalachian Animal is amazing and again doesn’t disappoint. Our husky loves to go and play with her friends and the staff. The staff keeps us highly informed of our furbaby when we are away on trips. Top notch vet services, boarding and play-Cations.
