We were so happy to be able to come in and talk with the doctor during our first visit there. Our dog had a precipitous decline the day after her appointment. The vet called us back on the phone and made a recommendation that saved her life. We’ll NEVER go back to our old vet. This is the practice for us.

They saved my Giant Schnauzer life. After she ate a pack of chewing gum.

It's all started 13 years ago with a rescue dog named Bridgie. We had previous dogs taken care of by them but my Bridgie was extra special to me. I adopted her at about a year old and they did her first exam. They took care of our first child from then on. They took customer service and animal care to a new level. They kept my dog healthy and alive to the very end. We sadly lost our baby about 2 weeks ago. We have 13 INCREDIBLE years of love with her and an animal hospital I trusted in everyway that kept her going to the end. We received a card from them after we lost her and our hearts were filled with joy and some sadness. We love and thank Swannanoa Valley Animal hospital for there compassion and love they showed us and our Bridgie to the end.

Some doctors that have done this career for too long and have no enthusiasm for their job need to just retire and quit putting animals lives in danger when there is young enthused doctors that doctors I mean that would love to have a job that would be willing to do whatever they can to save a kitten's life so that's all I'm going to say. RIP little one

My dog has had issues adjusting to our new home. They have been very kind and compassionate in the way they treat Albert. They have worked hard to resolve his issues.

We absolutely loved our vets at SVAH. I’m writing this a little late, but we went to them for the 3 years we lived in Asheville and it was heartbreaking to have to leave (we moved to Raleigh). All of the staff were so kind and sweet to our babies, got to know them on a first name basis, and provided the absolute best care. They were with us as we had to put down our cat of 15 years and I am so thankful they were there to guide us through the whole process. I would whole heartedly recommend SVAH to anyone!!!

Excelente caring vet. We've been taking our pets here for close to ten years. I trust them completely.

We were staying a couple of nights at the nearby KOA when our 13 year old dog woke me up at 6 AM in great distress - staggering, falling, and vomiting. It appeared that she was having a seizure. We took her to the closest vet, which was SVAH. I was there just before 8:30 AM and saw one of the techs walking in to work (I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but she was amazing!). I flagged her down and she jumped right into action, helping me get my dog out of the truck and carry her directly into an exam room. Within a minute or two, Dr. Nelson was in the room assessing my dog and immediately analyzing it as severe vertigo. They ran some labs, gave her an IV, and prescribed some meds. Dr. Nelson was also very attentive to our situation (in a camper for the next month) and gave us great advice on the best way to continue with a dog with vertigo. She really put us at ease about the situation and showed great for our beloved Gracie. All of this great attention and care was given to a very emotional stranger from out of town who just showed up unannounced with his dog. I can't even say how thankful we are that we were so close to SVAH and Dr. Nelson and the staff. THANK YOU!!

Took Lucille in 3 times to see different Vets at a cost of 475 dollars, to diagnose a torn ACL AFTER BEING TOL SHE HAD AN INFECTED NAIL,and that was negative.This used to be a fine place..

They were very caring when I had to euthanize my dog.

I have been associated with Swannanoa Valley Animal Hospital for at least 20 years. If I add it up it may be a few more. But as for the people , the service and the love you will find no other place better....
