Can't say enough good, positive things about these vets and staff. They are always thinking of you and your pet, they reach out after appointments and make sure all is well. If you are looking for a vet, pick Family Pet. You won't be sad you did.

I've been singing the praises of Family Pet Health for years--they are caring, flexible, and reasonably priced, and they seem to really love the work they do.

Our entire experience was wonderful from start to finish! From scheduling all the way through we felt like Atlas was the priority! So grateful for the time and care given and for the patience with our very scared pup!

This place always manages to get my pets in quickly, and they are so great with them! My pets genuinely love coming into the office and always leave happy. They don’t charge an arm and a leg, either. Overall my favorite vet in town.

Just relocated to Tennessee and called to become part of the Family Pet Health family and was so blown away by the customer service I received… if the service and care is anything like my initial call… this will be my Vet Service for the life of my dogs… what an awesome staff… First Impressions are the best

We had a 2 year old hamster (Buttons) who was nearing the end of her life. On her last day, we noticed her breathing changing and didn’t know who to contact for help because it seems no one in Murfreesboro sees “exotics”. One place I called recommended Family Pet Health - I called them and they set up an appointment for that day. Shortly after I hung up with them, it seemed that her breathing stopped so we immediately went there and they checked her right away. With older hamsters especially you have to be sure they didn’t slip into hibernation. A very kind lady took Buttons and checked her and confirmed that she was gone. We took Buttons home and buried her. Not long after that, we received a sympathy card from Family Pet Health, with handwritten signatures and words of comfort from the staff. That was so kind and so above and beyond anything I would have expected. My daughter is keeping that card. These people have genuine compassion and I highly recommend them.

I couldn't be happier with our second experience with Family Pet Health. They took very good care of us. I didn't like how they pushed more and more treatments and things on us. And then made me feel like a bad pet owner once I declined the offers. Made me feel like they just wanted more money. They were very good with my cat. So I have absolutely no complaints in that aspect. I just felt pushed and then like I wasn't doing enough for my animal.

I love Family Pet Health. We bring all of our animals there. There prices I feel are very responsible. You earn pet desk points through their app which saves you money. They are super responsive. All of the veterinarians are so kind and compassionate. They really treat the animals with kindness and I love the fear free philosophy. I have some animals who love walking in and some who are very anxious about going. They are so kind and patient with all of them that even the anxious ones have a great experience. I recommend them to everyone who is looking for a quality local vet.

We have had our dogs come here for a couple years now . Our dog had surgery today , and we were nervous as she is an older dog . Everyone there was so helpful to explain the extra care they would take for her , and they were so kind when I dropped her off. ( even though I was late!) Extra efforts were taken to communicate and be sure we understood the surgery and the process , as well as accommodating a couple special requests . Just can’t say enough good about these folks !! It a great feeling to have confidence in a Dr. and staff who are amazing professionals and also really care .

I am very picky on who I let take care of my pets. This is the first vet in two years that I feel completely comfortable with. Anybody I know that asks about a vet, I always highly recommend them. I can’t say enough good things about them.

A client of mine referred this clinic to me and I am so thankful that she did. I took my boy here today for a wellness check and his vaccinations and from the moment I walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. My boy has a lot of energy and they were so incredibly patient with him. They are so informative and knowledgeable and I am so happy I took him here! Knox says thank you all for being so sweet and for all the treats!

Wow is what we say about our experience at Family Pet Health! The entire experience was completely focused on our dog! They took their time and provided tasty treats. Down in the floor with him. We are very impressed and will definitely be back. Very affordable. Thank you so much! Love this place!

Be aware this vet will only help with your pets regular scehduled health visits and cannot be relied on to help if your pet is actually sick and needs care. Started seeing this vet with our new puppy because a friend reccomended. While the vet and the vet techs have been wonderful with him, I had planned to have them see all our pets and be our family vet. Our older cat we adopted who has immune problems suddenly began to decline over the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning to see if he could be seen and was a little surprised when they said there was no way for them to get him in today, but they could make an appointment for the following day, and to go to the emergency vet if I needed one sooner. However, when I called the emergency clinic they said they were so far backed up that it would be many hours of waiting and even then he might not be seen. The emergency vet along with the rescue the cat came from reccomended that if the cat wasn't in terrible pain and was able to wait, that getting him in at the vet the next day would be better for the cat so when I called back to take the appointment for the next day they told me that I couldn't have an emergency appointment. They said emergency appointments could only be made the morning of, at 7 am and just try and get one the next day because they save those appointments for emergencies. I tried to explain that while I was willing to wait until the next morning to be seen for my cats emergency, it was an emergency and that he needed to be seen quickly as cats can decline so rapidly when they refuse to eat and drink to which they again said try and call at 7 am and if the appointments had already filled up before I got through I could go to the emergency vet.... Thats like having a doctor who says you can come for your yearly physical but if you have the flu or a problem in between you should just go the ER. Makes no sense whatsoever. After much arguing and trying to persuade they finally said they could actually book me an appointment for the next day instead of making me call for some lottery style chance to have my poor sick cat seen, but a vet is who you count on to maintain your pets health AND to see and treat your pet when they are ill. I have a large family and several pets and this vet can't be counted on for help when your pet is actually sick and you need them most. The hassle they put me through just to try and beg them to see my cat tells me that I can't trust them with the future health of my pets they are currently treating.

The calming and professional atmosphere is most impressive. It's the modern way to go in animal care. Most other vet practices are crowded, noisy, and scary for pets--in other words, they are Bedlam! The experience can be terrifying for a pet. But at Family Pet Health they deliver top quality pet care in a low-stress environment. Highly recommended.

The staff here are AMAZING! I have a very nervous older Schnoodle who has always had a really hard time with strangers, groomers, and vets. The doctors and nurses here are always so patient and helpful and I’m so grateful to have professionals who are willing to work with my goofy girl and make sure she gets the care she needs. My dog is my best friend and I cannot thank Family Pet Health enough for their kind understanding and patience!

Our family made Family Pet Health clinic our primary care for all 4 of our dogs. Our new puppy ate my sons vitamins one day and it turned out it contained a highly toxic material to dogs. We called and they told us to bring her in ASAP. Dr. Shirley swooped our puppy Moxie up as soon as my wife hit the door and administered medicine and saved her life. Not to mention, I was beating myself up after having to put down another dog one month prior to coming to this clinic due to medical issues at another veterinarians office. I asked my wife to ask Dr. Dupree if I did everything I could for my lost best friend. Dr. Dupree was the first vet to actually make me feel better and reassured us we did everything we could and even remarked “you guys are great pet parents” which provided a lot of comfort and closure for me and my wife. They always follow up the day after and are really nice. Highly recommend them.

Great veterinary practice and about the only place to have your rabbit seen.

Family Pet Health is an exceptional veterinary practice - the only certified "fear free" practice in Murfreesboro. One of my dogs had to have an emergency procedure this week. Prior to the exam and procedure they gave her a scarf that had something on it for relaxation, and a lick pad with whipped cream during the injection. They put a blanket on the floor and allowed my husband to be there with her during the procedure. I just love this veterinary practice.

The staff is so caring and knowledgeable. They showed genuine compassion to my son for one of his hardest days. I have no doubt in my mind that Bobbles will be the pet ???? with a purpose. My son wants her life to mean something and for someone to learn from her. Dr. Shirley and her staff will always hold a special place in the hearts of our family.

Choosing a vet after relocating is very hard. We chose this vet because of their fear free certifications but are staying because of the genuine love and amazing care they have provided our dogs. I went in for annual vaccinations for my small pup. They made her feel a little better about the whole situation by providing her with treats throughout the whole process. Unfortunately she didn’t react too well to the vaccines and the team prescribed some medicine to help her feel better. She recovered right away and is back to her normal self. They took this even further and texted me to make sure my girl was feeling better and she didn’t need any further care. I have never had a vet follow up like this before for a sick pet. They not only make the pets experience the best they can but really help keep the pet owner at ease. I will recommend over and over to anyone who asks.
