Southwind Animal Hospital Maryville, Tennessee

My little, scared, Houdini dog fled and headed straight for the highway. All of the staff that came out of the building and crossed the 4 lane highway to help try to save my dog… it was amazing. Haven’t been a customer here long, but from what I’ve seen so far, we plan to stay. They care.

They are AMAZING!!! This group of people are there for the right reason. They love the animals and will do right by them. Thank you all for your love, dedication, and thoughtfulness. Respect, nothing but respect for each of you.

Cannot say enough good about this place. My little doxie was in distress and i called them. They were so nice on the phone. We had never been there before and yet they still found a way to work her in right away. I arrived as an emergency walk in, expecting to wait for at least an hour or more yet they took her right back and cared for her immediately. They were absolutely fantastic and we will be switching to them for all future needs. Truly top notch.

This is the kindest veterinary clinic. I can't thank then enough for the gentle care of my sweet dog.

When I first started bringing my dog and cat to Southwind, it was at the peak of Covid. At the time they would have you wait in your car while a tech would collect your pet and take them inside for examination and/or treatment. Because of this I was never able to see what went on or really meet the people taking care of my pets. As a result, I could only give them three stars Several months later, with Covid policies relaxing a bit, I was able to go inside the veterinary with my pet when they saw the vets. I can now say how very happy we are with Southwind. Everyone, from front office to the exam rooms, are wonderful. Drs. Zachery and Hicks are kind and caring. I'm glad our fur-kids are patients here. As a result, I've raised my review to five stars.

Each and every one of these ladies is like a member of the family. Professional, knowledgeable and kind. Would highly recommend.

Doctor Hicks and Dr Z are great! They have taken care of my girl for years. They really love the animals they care for and are very genuine!

Dr Hicks and Dr Zachary are amazing. We had a few emergency visits and they saw us the same day. They are able to do lots of care right in house (x-rays, prescriptions). They were awesome when we had to put our beautiful boy Zeus to sleep unexpectedly.

Amazing staff. Very caring. After our dog got her yearly shots, and shots. Later that night she was hurting, we called and they seen her on a Saturday morning. They gave her some pain medication. And later that, our baby was back to no6. Thank you!!

We had an emergency and they saw us right away, friendly staff!

Showed up on a Saturday, from Townsend, with an injured dog... he had ripped a toe nail off and also injured his foot... they refused to see him since we were not current patients of theirs. So when an animal was in need the animal hospital did not want to help! NOTED! Now at UT and they welcome us with open arms!

This is the best vet in the area. They really care about animals here and are very friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are also much more reasonable than the other guys!

Dr. Deborah Hicks did an excellent job caring for my dog's leg injury. I highly recommend this vet practice. The staff members are kind, caring, knowledgeable and professional.

Dr. Hicks and her staff has always gone above and beyond caring for our baby Buster. He has disc disease and has had three back surgeries at UT. She was able to work her magic and get us into UT sooner than we thought with his latest neck injury. He had surgery Tuesday and is now home on bed rest. If it hadn’t been for Dr. Hick and Dr. Zachary working their magic he could have had a much worse outcome. The whole staff is loving, sensitive and professional.

My dog had a seizure and the staff was gracious in fitting me in super quickly. Dr. Hicks was incredible and knowledgeable as she spent time explaining things with me. She was also so kind and gentle with my dog. The best vet’s office I have ever been to!

I have a young male cat, Bob, who had gotten out then returned home with an injured rear leg that I highly suspected was broken. They got him in quickly and not only was it broken, it was shattered. As a nurse, I knew what that would mean for a human, and for a cat it would not be a guarantee to heal properly even with surgery so amputation was decided. They were so so kind with Bob, making sure he was comfortable and calling frequently to check on him. He gets around with no problems at all, highly recommend them!

This is the best Animal vet I have been to. I would definitely recommend them for your furry friends.

They were helpful and extremely nice. All vets were booked, but they got me in the same day.

I trust Southwind with all of my pets. Great staff of people that work there. So glad they are here for all my pet needs and I've been a resident of Maryville all my 62 years of living.
