I took my dog Marlin to Blackford for a consult on his luxating patella and every part of our experience was ideal. I cannot say enough good things about everyone that works there. They came out to get him very quickly and were so sweet to him. Dr. Blackford came out after the exam and spent 15 minutes explaining our options. She actually recommended waiting on surgery which I think shows that the vets here aren't just trying to schedule the most surgeries and make the most money. I know I can completely trust them to do what is best for Marlin and can call them when he needs help in the future!

They had a brace made for my newfoundland and have him walking without a limp. Had our first walk outside in months. Truly an outstanding group.

Awesome care and communication. UT Vet "freaked out" over my baby's high RBC count and would not do TPLO surgery. My local vet and Blackford knew how to handle it and worked together to get it done. I felt so much better leaving her in Blackford's care rather than the chaos at UT. They were even a little cheaper. Could not be more pleased.

My dog was taken care of by Dr. Blackford for two TPLOs in 2019. And to this day, you cannot tell my Captain has had two major knee surgeries. The staff were all so pleasant and took great care of my boy. I would not hesitate to use this office again for any future necessary procedures.

This clinic saved my boy jack, who was diagnosed with OCD in elbows and right shoulder, bilateral elbow dysplasia, and degenerative joint disease. I will forever be grateful to them and the AMAZING staff. I called over a dozen vets with many telling me to put him down due to surgery cost. Not Dr. Callie, and her team- not only did they make it affordable for me to fix my baby. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and made it easy due to my home being in Tennessee but working temporarily in California, we did all of the pre surgery stuff in Ca and came home to have his surgeries. Jennifer and Brooke also have helped me through all of my emotional breakdowns due to the stress of the super long recovery for an over active high energy border collie. Thank you guys so much for giving Jack back his legs.

Can't say enough positive things about this place. If you are considering having TPLO surgery performed on your dog, I strongly recommend both going through with it and doing so at Blackford. I promise it is worth the money (and drive if you're not local). Dr. Hodshon was great, and so was every single staff member I interacted with throughout the process (shout-out Kristen). I was a little nervous about putting my dog under anesthesia but felt reassured by how professional and caring they were. Take it from a hospitality major- they do things the right way here. Post-op recovery is an intensive, hands-on process, but I felt completely equipped to handle it with the knowledge and resources provided to me by the Blackford team. Thanks to them my dog is back to his old self with an improved quality of life and outlook for his senior years.

I had to take my Yorkie there for TPLO surgery. They take such good care of your dog and they know what they are doing. They also give you detailed instructions. It's the best place for surgery. I highly recommend them.

Our Bernese puppy was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia last year, so we were referred to Dr. Blackford. The surgery was expensive and the recovery was very hard on my puppy and my family, but I’m so so happy we went thru with it. Almost a year later and he is walking normal, enjoys his zoomies in the backyard, and most importantly he isn’t in pain anymore. Highly recommend this Doctor!

Blackford Vet Surgical Center was wonderful when my little yorkie Ashley had her patella surgery and there were no complications at all. She had started walking on her leg the next day. They give you everything you need to ensure you pet has a successful recovery. Ashley who is one of the vet technicians went above and beyond to help me with any questions or concerns I may have had. Ashley is getting ready to have her left patella done on 5/4 and I have no doubt she will do good. I highly recommend Blackford Vet Referral Service because they have a passion for what they do. This vet was fairly easy to get into and see. However, I feel their fees for service are exorbitantly high. $200 for an aspiration of cells! The ultrasound $540. I'm sure that's more than a human scan. I do note that the pet had to be sedated so that does factor into the bill.

Kinda pricey, but everyone there are diamonds.

Thank you Dr. Hodshon and staff for doing an outstanding job on our pup’s TPLO. With Covid protocols it’s difficult not being able to go inside when your fur baby has surgery but they were there every step of the way and answered any questions. Stella just went today for her eight week x-rays and everything looks great. Hopefully we won’t have to come back to see ya’ll for the other leg but if we do we know she is in great hands! Thank you again!

My German Shepherd had blown out her leg and had to get a TPLO. She recovered greatly and is back to running 5 miles a day thanks to the great work done by this facility. They were a great help from working with financing to walking me through the recovery process.

My five year old German shepherd dog Atze injured his left front paw on July first and I wasn't able to get him to the vet until the second. I was told after x-ray that he had a soft tissue injury. After much medication and him not getting better, I was referred to Dr Blackford. They're clinic is beautiful from the outside. Due to COVID, you can't accompany your dog inside, but I assure you that the staff is pleasing to meet. They took Atze and examine him and the results were not good. He had broken his wrist and will need surgery ????, but I felt so relieved after talking to Dr Blackford and she assured me that he would be great again. I have every confidence that they will do a great job ????. I am scheduling his surgery soon so prayers are welcome.
