We love Whitesburg Animal Hospital! Their boarding is always top notch and our dog comes home happy and calm. Their Sunday pick up can be busy so make sure you are aware.

My husband is currently stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and we came in from out of town to visit with my family who live in Huntsville for a early Christmas. So we had to board our cat. When we picked her up Sunday which was awesome because many of the boarding places in Huntsville don’t offer pickup on Sunday but Whitesburg Animal Hospital does. This was our Rosey Posey’s first boarding experience and when we picked her up she was perfectly fine and seemed to have enjoyed her weekend. She was very clean and she smelt very nice. Her nails were trimmed as well so that was awesome that they were able to trim them for us! They also gave Rosey Posey her medicine that she needed. We booked her for the Feline TLC boarding package with medication and a nail trim and it was around $78. Over all that’s a great price! I’ve seen some reviewers who complain about the price here but I’ve always been told… you get what you pay for and I’m willing to pay for the level of care that was given here and to know my sweet girl is taken care of and loved. You can’t put a price on quality care and that’s what Rosey Posey received this weekend was Tender Loving Care and hopefully they will have space for her again when we come back in town to visit again. Thank you to everyone who took care of my baby this weekend my husband and I appreciate all the hard work and care you gave our kitty. - The Albright’s

My spouse and I have owned French bulldogs for years and coming to this vet we were hoping for a good experience, we currently live in Huntsville, and AKC was giving me the option for this vet on their website! My spouse and I are from Clearwater Florida knowing the vets there like the back of our hand, Lilly was the puppy we just bought that was sick from a CBD item we purchased from a pet-smart. Lilly got very sick from these treats and was not feeling good, so we decided to bring her in today to this vet office. walking in the vet we were greeted very friendly and the receptionist was very nice, going into the back we met our vet technician and from there we knew we made a mistake coming to this vet she was very rude, she didn't seem to really care, and then the veterinarian came in and was going to charge us over 300$ for all of these exams that Lilly didn't need. we knew she was sick from the treats and the vet tech treated us like we were below her we did purchase the medication Lilly needed. when we told the vet technician we did not need the other exams on the list she printed out a new sheet and walked out with the door slamming, we do appreciate the medication that made Lilly very healthy today. but will no longer go to a vet that will be trying to over charge us for things we didn't need in the first place. we should be able to trust our vet ,and take our fur babies where they will get treated right! Unfortunately this was not it!!! especially with us being upset about Lilly not feeling good with the vet tech attitude made it worse the veterinarian was amazing not the tech ! . Lilly today on December 20,2021 is feeling so much better and playing like a puppy like she always does, we will be going to a different vet we found for further appointments! Thank you.

Pretty good animal hospital, can be inconsistent on customer service. However treatment and enrichment programs are great. Our dog enjoys the daycare program here.

Very professional. The veterinarian herself called me up several days after meeting with my dog to tell me her bloodwork was fine. It only took a couple days due to placing priority patients ahead of me, as it should be. Wish I got care such as this. Not the cheapest but I guess you get what you pay for. Fast appt date and quality care. They were also just really patient with my dog, who isn't into everyone, even if they have peanut butter.

I have been using Whitesburg Animal Hospital for over 30 years -longer than some of his doctors have been alive. I see no reason to change.

My dachshund had X-rays recently to discover spinal issues. They are common with this breed. He is in pain, and struggles to walk upright. WAH prescribed Deramaxx, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. I administered as directed, and saw little/no improvement in Max. I called back to ask for medication to relieve his pain, and I was ask to set another appointment. For what!? You have his X-rays, and know he is hurting. Help my friend. He is hurting. What’s wrong with you people?

We switched to WAH this summer and it started off okay. Last week one of our dogs cut her hind leg playing outside. We brought her in for stitches the next morning. They did internal sutures, but a couple days later those sutures began reopening. We brought her back in to have her fixed up. They did internal sutures and external sutures. Again, a couple days later, they reopened. So, we brought her in a third time to have the wound re-closed. This time they did internal and external sutures, as well as staples. Believe it or not, they made us pay every single time!! We are now $500+ deep into this ordeal and they refuse to believe it’s their fault. Our dog is not active! She goes outside, does her business, comes inside and lays down. She never touches the area of injury either and is 100% supervised. She also wears gym shorts or children’s leggings and a E-collar/cone (all per their recommendations). We are trying a different vet on Tuesday to have the stitches redone and are hoping this will be the last time our sweet pup has to endure this. WAH is great for routine checkups or even boarding, but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR SUTURES. I have attached some photos from when each set of sutures started opening up.

They take such good care of your baby and give ample amounts of play and potty time during the day, their suites give your pet a very large tiled area, seriously it was about a 6x6 feet area(that's a guestement, I didn't actually measure but it's definitely around that much space! The pics on their website don't do it justice lol) and it's allll to themselves! They also get a TV that plays animal channel, there's music back there for them and your allowed to bring all their own food, toys, Treats, and bed etc. So they feel more at home. I could tell when I picked her up that she'd had fun ???? they have different size rooms (no cages!) we had the nicest one they offer and it was only 50 a night, well worth it to put our minds at ease knowing she's being taken outside to be played with several times and has all her own things and people to go in and spend time with her. Not sure what the smaller rooms cost but either way they are given lots of attention while there, and if you have time, you can ask them to give your doggy.. some type of social exam? Sorry I don't know the name of it lol but it's to see if they are eligible and capable of playing nicely with the other dogs (in their weight class of course) during outside time. We didn't have time to do that prior to her drop off but if your dog is good around other dogs maybe they'd have even more fun while there and make some friends lol

Boarded our dogs on Monday. Usually most happy with their service. One Pup started cough on Thursday a.m. Got in quickly to see Armstrong. Meds given and discussed possible development in second Pup. Told me to call and she would provide subscription for 2nd Pup. Office was called, doctor is out. Still no meds. Ask questions. Not happy.

Let me preface this by saying that I'd give all of the techs and front desk staff a higher rating than 3 stars. They have always been very helpful and kind. You all are wonderful people. I've only had experience with two of the vets..one of them pressured us into getting an unnecessary leg surgery on my dog when we find out in hindsight, a brace would have worked much better. Also, that vet refused to help us by prescribing a nerve medicine (gabapentin) that would have helped our dog tremendously. Now, at the twilight of our dog's life, he has developed diabetes and crippling pain in his knees. Finally, we are introduced to Dr. Pot and we absolutely love her. She is kind, very professional and did more to help our suffering canine than anything done in the previous five years going to whitesburg. Really wish I had had the foresight to ask for Dr. Pot from the beginning. Dr. Pot and the tech staff, you get five stars all around. I will always be telling any of my friends who need vet help to ask for Dr. Pot and any other vet that she would recommend if she is unavailable.

We recently moved to Huntsville and first tried another vet in the area for our older dog (Google search) and did not care for the facility or the care. We asked around and a neighbor recommended Whitesburg for our new puppy and we are so thankful we followed through. First visit was excellent. The staff really cares about their guests and we feel so much better now that we have a Vet in town we can trust. We'll be bringing our older dog for his next visit and the boarding facility looks top notch.

Dr Russell and Whitesburg were incredibly flexible and accommodating for my best friend Tuff Dog's appointment. He is dog aggressive and they did everything to make sure he was safe and secure. Thank you so much for our best vet appointment ever!

This is a comment related only to their front desk, but my attempt to line up a veterinary appointment for our dog is really the worst I’ve ever seen. I called three times and left a message another time. Total time spent on hold was about half an hour, including three dropped calls. Each time I called, I was promised a “brief hold” that ended up going nowhere. We’re new to Huntsville, and this place was recommended by our real estate agent. But I don’t think they know what they’re doing, at least administratively.
