Had to move vets due to unforeseen circumstances. Have been so pleased with the quality of care we are getting for our 5 pups with Dr. Cheryl. She has been kind, thorough, loving to our dogs and great in answering all questions for their treatment etc. We are thankful to be at South Franklin Animal Hospital <3

I have never met another veterinarian and staff who cared more about my dogs. Dr. Samson truly takes the time to know the animals to provide the best care. So very thankful to have found such an awesome team to care for my fur children. Love them and HIGHLY recommend!

My 2 Goldendoodle boys absolutely love their time away, when we need to go away, as long as its at SFAH. The staff loves them like we do. The attention to "no fear/anxiety" is truly true. I am forever grateful to have found Dr. Cheryl, her kind daughter Grace and the rest of the staff at SFAH. They have gone above and beyond for us in times of tremendous need and in times when we just needed a break from town. I never worry about Murphy and Linus when we are away, I know they in the best care.

So, the vet was nice. Very understanding of my pets needs. But the business itself, not that great. I have called multiple times. Can never get a real person on the phone. When I ask for more detail, the front desk girl always seems aggravated by my questions. I am switching vets because of this communication issue. Reached out for my pet records and no follow up. No email. No return call. Nothing. So, don't expect alot of communication from these folks besides the automated email reminding you that your pet needs a visit.

SFAH is amazing. We have been taking our pets to Dr Sammons for over 8 years. They are like family and I couldn’t imagine taking our pets anywhere else.

There is absolutely no one else I would ever take my pets to! Hannah and Dr. Sammons are absolutely amazing!!! I can not recommend them enough! Henry absolutely LOVES going to his vet appointments!

The personnel here are amazing. They take time to understand your pet’s needs and go above and beyond to ensure their comfort during their visits. My dog is a little anxious but he ADORES the doctor and vet techs here. Very kind and willing to get to know you and your pet on a personal basis. I love this clinic and will always recommend them!

Dr Sammons and her staff have taken very good care of our pets for several years. My son had pet rats several years ago. One of them was having difficulty breathing and not acting right. Dr. Sammons researched to learn more about rats and treated him for pneumonia. We currently have a dog that gets anxious easily. Dr. Sammons and her staff remember and respect that he gets anxious. They treat him with care and patience to help his anxiety. We have had good experiences there.

From the first time of meeting Dr. Sammons and her team at SFAH in 2013 with Mortys back issue to this very day, they have always been so very kind, generous and caring for Mortimer. The communication flow is beyond amazing. I am so thankful we get to call the "Mortys vet team!".

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Sammons and her staff for about 13 years now and have always been happy with the personal, comprehensive and compassionate care they receive. I feel like my questions and concerns are always welcomed and taken seriously. Not only does she focus on physical problems, but she addresses pet behavior and anxiety/fear as well! This practice is a gem in Franklin.

Friendly, prompt and reasonable fees for service.

We came to this vet for a fear-free experience for our cat who has anxiety from previous vet experiences. Dr. Sammons takes the time to really make your animal feel comfortable. At previous animal hospitals, I could tell the veterinarians come into the room to get procedures done as quickly as possible with little regard for how the animal feels. This is not one of those hospitals. This is not the most affordable vet I've ever been to, but I would choose this place again for the care. The staff's attentiveness makes me feel as if I would be comfortable boarding my animals here too if need be.

Loved this animal hospital until they kept my credit card info on file without my knowledge and then charged for a visit with out my consent. Contacted multiple times without a response until I left a message notifying them that if left unresolved I would take legal matters. Afterwards received an immediate call back and refunded for medicine that I didn’t want and also did not receive at the time of the appt. was later left a hateful message by Dr. Sammons asking me to transfer my pets records. No apologies for the unprofessional staff. Will be taking my pet elsewhere, no problem, do not care to deal with such unprincipled behavior. Mistakes were made on their part, not mine. Hopeful this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

When your Vet lays on the floor patiently waiting for your shy and timid cat to make his appearance so that she doesn't cause him anymore stress- you know you're in the right place. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sammons and her staff. They have been taking care of my 2 cats and elderly pup for over 8 years. I love that it has always been the same faces over the years of being patients of hers. They truly take the time and care about each of my pets. They are great about reminding me of treatment that is recommended and have always been easy to reach with my overly annoying helicopter dog mom questions. :-)

Dr. Sammons and her staff are the best. My female west highland terrier has some challenging skin issues due to an autoimmune disorder. Dr. Sammons has been treating her the last two years and my westie has gone from being hairless to having a full coat of hair.

The team is amazing !

We moved to Franklin, TN two years ago with our senior Shih Tzu, Maddie and quickly fell in love with Dr. Sammons and her team. They promote preventive care and really focus on understanding your pet's specific personality and needs. With their Wellness Plan, I have saved thousands of dollars on care that my dog needs at this stage in her life (dental cleanings, x-rays, more frequent vet visits, etc.) We also use their boarding services and I have peace of mind leaving Maddie in their hands. I feel like they care about my dog as much as I do, and that means the world to me and my husband. SFAH is the best and I'd recommend them to anyone is the area with a pet!

Most caring and compassionate vet staff in the area! Truly get to the root of a problem instead of trying to cover it up. Would be lost without Dr. Cheryl and her dedicated staff!

The team at SFAH is incredible! We are part of the family and they do their utmost to ensure a positive experience for our babies, and ourselves. We drive 45 minutes each way just to bring our dogs here. Best veterinary team I have ever experienced.

I couldn't possibly ask for a more knowledgeable vet, more empathetic and compassionate staff or simply more caring people than I (and Tillie) get with South Franklin. We are thrilled they are helping us navigate our journey and they do it respectfully and wonderfully.
