Our dog had some internal bleeding. They did not have access to ultrasound (we learned 2 days later). After waiting for hours, it took 3 hours to talk with a tech, we never spoke with a vet and I think it is a legitimate question if a vet was even there on the weekend. We were told it would be another 6 HOURS before we could speak with an actual vet. I’m not exaggerating. 9 hours after admission to speak with a vet? If there was actually a vet there , we never saw/spoke with them. I question if there was one on site at all. Their charges are comparatively astronomical. For one night of observation was going to be $3,000.00. We tried to take our dog home after 24 hours and they at first told us we could not. No diagnosis was ever made. We forced them to give Us our dog back. Despite our frustrations we were very respectful. The older lady at the front desk was incredibly rude, disrespectful and downright hateful. We took our dog to another clinic north and had incredible and caring service. I seldom leave reviews.”, especially negative and will take a lot of abuse before I do, but this outfit has poor leadership and people need to avoid this place that calls themselves a vet clinic. People, and our pets, deserve way better. Our dog’s name was Jesse (Griffith). You have our contact info. You have multiple reviews with complaints of poor front desk performance. Don’t act like you’re shocked just to put up a false front for the public to see.

Saw Dr. Golly at our vet's suggestion. Wonderful experience. The staff were kind and went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and well-informed. The procedures took some time, like they normally would seeing any specialist, and they were pricy (as is most vet work)- but we were told what to expect going in so we were never blindsided. They have a special room for cats out of crates and dogs who are anxious. We did not need it, but the fact that it exists is a great idea! I do recommend these specialists to anyone who might need them. I'm glad to be working with them in the future.

May the day not be distant when the pets of Franklin can rely on Blue Pearl Pet Hospital. That they honor and uphold their Veterinary Hippocratic Oath and spend less time writing the reasoning behind their lack of compassion so eloquently written to conceal such subterfuge. Maybe it's time for a different profession for you, like say - a mortician or maybe working on an oil rig or something. You should be ashamed of yourself. This is the reason why I usually dont write any reviews. I felt like at the minimus I owe it to my dog Rocco. I write this review out of the love I have for him and the unequivocal love he shows me.I write this review for all the pets that have crossed your threshold at BPPH and were allowed to suffer or parrish. This review is for them. I came home the other day and found my boy- who is usually ecstatic to see my wife and I-Not being his usual self. He was just laying there on the floor, belly close to the floor with his eyes wide open but distant as if he was day dreaming. He wouldn't respond only his eyes would move in different directions. His expression blank, his breathing fast. I immediately became scared and concerned.A quick Google search lead me to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital which was open and closest to my house. I thought maybe he got into something poisonous so I rushed him to BPPH. The staff appeared to be too young and lacked the professional medical experience you would expect a 24 hour emergency room for pets to have.It was an eye opening experience that of which I wasn't prepared for and my fault for not having an emergency plan. The diagnosis they concluded was vague, without effort, and erroneous. My Rocco is okay today by God's grace and certainly not by BPPH. If you love your pet do your due diligence and have an emergency plan in place.Find a place with the veterinary experience to handle an emergency and a staff that will receive your loved one with compassion and understanding. Look into pet health insurance in case things get complicated. For all those reviews that had a good experience be very thankful.

The clinic was clean & attractive. The staff were pleasant and professional. The vet showed empathy pertaining to my Boxer. I will refer this clinic to friends and family.

My cat recently had surgery to remove a foreign object they had swallowed. The entire staff, from reception to the nurses to the surgeon were kind, competent and professional. My cat is home now and healthy again.

We were traveling thru from Michigan to Alabama News Year Day and were staying at a Hotel in the area when our older rescue dog became very sick. K/C was 14 years old and suffering from older age issues like kidney disease, loosing eye sight, and hearing. I Googled the area and found your office and proceeded to call. Your staff was very emphatic and said to bring her over. When we arrived with K/C they saw her condition and jumped right into Action!! Not a word about payment just making K/C comfortable. The outcome wasn’t the Best but we already knew that ???????? Your Team made sure we had Our Time to say Goodbye!!! Very Professional ???????? Thank You again! Everett & Helen

So my girfriends dog was having bobbing in the head for multiple hours and was very weak and didn't want to move at all. Yesterday was New Years day so we waited till today to hopefully get him to a vet. No one is available except the hospital. I called about a blood panel test and about how much they would cost. The lady replied back with "were a hospital so call your local vet tomorrow to get a price". She hung up without even asking what might have been going on with the dog or anything. Regardless if it's a medical emergency, or not, being the only place open I was looking for help, and the way it was handled out was poor and I wouldn't want to now put my dogs in the hands of the people who didn't even care to help. We were also looking to get a scan on the brain which takes a medical specialist which could take a hospital, but she wouldn't know that because she was too worried to tell me to just call my vet tomorrow. I feel as this is very poor on their end after what their are already probably going to charge being a 24/7 hospital. If you care about animals you'd take any customer as serious as a dying one.

Had our first visit at BluePearl today. Nothing but positive things to say! We had a 10:30 appointment and went back very quickly. The tech who took the initial info was very pleasant and asked all the right questions. The vet (Dr. Au) soon followed and explained everything wonderfully. X-rays were done. Yes they were more expensive than the family vet but they were also better quality. You are paying for the equipment and the knowledge which to me is worth it. Thank you to the staff for a great experience. We appreciate you.

Called hysterical about my dog and I was hung up on. They stated they didn’t treat my dog, which I knew because their doctor was supposedly helping at my vets office. I wasn’t looking to wait 3 more days when my dog is dying in my arms. I’m trying to talk to their doctor who did a sonogram at my vets office on the 28. I was told I’d have results within 2 days.

I called this location this morning because my dog is not doing well. I was already in distress and in tears when I called. The receptionist was so incredibly rude. I could not even get a sentence out without her completely interrupting me. She had her routine statements ready. I tried to explain what was going on because I was unsure if my dog was considered critical or not. She wouldn’t even let me explain what was going on. I hung up more stressed and called a different emergency vet where they showed compassion and explained what might need to be done. This place needs to understand that when pet owners call they are already worried. I knew immediately it wasnt smar to take our dog here because the lack of compassion over the phone. I understand they are probably busy, but each call should be just as important to the person speaking as the next. We want to be spoken to as if you actually care to make us comfortable. But after reading other reviews I am glad I trusted my gut.

Thank you so much for making Willie’s euthanizing as seem less and easy as possible. After being made to wait for an hour passed our scheduled appointment at our normal vet the day before (to no avail), the process could not have been more peaceful than it was at Blue Pearl. The urn & clay paw prints we received were also immaculate. Thank you so much, sincerely from a 1st-time dog owner who lost her very best friend.

We drove 45 minutes to bring our dogs to BluePearl because they were the only facility with an opening on a Sunday. The staff was a blessing to us in our situation and extremely helpful and friendly. A big thanks to them for all their help and kindness in our unexpected need for animal care.

Folk, the service here is amazing. One of our outdoor cats had a serious spinal injury and he was seen immediately, even though they were busy. The staff were incredibly kind and did not pressure us into a bunch of things we didn’t need. They gave Simon a full check-up and made excellent recommendations for a surgical vet, then prescribed the proper medication to mitigate his pain and neurological issues that resulted from his injury, and sent us on our way. I could not be happier with how fantastic they were and they treated us like family. Highly recommend!!

We took our dog to Blue Pearl today because he swallowed a squeaker on Friday. Thought he would pass it and has been fine since Friday until today. We arrived at 4:45 and they took him back. After about 10 minutes, he was brought back to us because he was barking while in the cage waiting to see the doctor. 3 hours later, we were still waiting to see the doctor. I asked how much longer and was told other critical dogs had come in after us and there was only one doctor and she didn’t know how much longer we would be waiting. We left!!!! My dog was just as critical as any other dog we saw come in. I wouldn’t have taken him down there if I didn’t think he was critical. If this is an emergency hospital, you would think there would be more than one vet. We brought him home and will take to our regular vet tomorrow who said I could bring him in as a day patient and if he needed surgery, he would do it tomorrow. Thank you Dr. Mitchell!!!

I want to thank the entire staff for the care and thoughtfulness that they gave us when we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our sweet little Yorkie, “Jaxon” From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we had to leave, they made us feel like we were all in it together, with respect and empathy. They even mailed us a sympathy card…What a great place! Thank you Blue pearl Franklin. The Alexander family

AMAZING PLACE !!! On November 21st my chocolate lab got attacked by another dog on our property. The dog grabbed his face and tore through his nose. We drove two hours because they were the only ones that could take us. We got there and they let us sit in a secluded room, they cared for my dog so well, and we left in a timely manner. Two weeks later, my pup is all healed and doing amazing!! ❤️❤️❤️

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. My dog had vomited 3 times in a span of a few hours, so I was worried. It was the weekend & at night, so I couldn’t take him to our normal, trustworthy vet. I called and they said that they thought I should bring him in. I waited 3 hours in the waiting room, and the only thing that made the experience enjoyable was a guy who was very kind to me who also brought his dog. (If you’re reading, hey, thank you for holding him so my arm didn’t rip off, I should’ve gotten your number). Then, he was brought back, and then I was lead into a room. I was in that room for TWO MORE HOURS WITH HIM until someone came in. The vet came in, asked me his symptoms, and GUESSED what it could be. They guessed he might have a blockage in his intestine, they also said he could have an allergy, they also said it could just be “because he is a puppy.” They said he was “masking his lethargy” and that it was probably Addison’s disease. They suggested I should have them run a test that would be 500-800 dollars. Obviously, I said no. 275 dollars later for an office visit + IV/anti nausea medicine, I drove him home and he’s been fine ever since. No vomit, no diarrhea, nothing. Awful service + awful vet skills.

Horrible experience! This place has poor care to their patients, poor service, no compassion. Took my sweet golden retriever who has cancer in and hasn’t eaten for 3 days. Asked for nutritional supplement to be given in NG tube. Told one pet was ahead of her and she would be next. Took her in back. Waited over 3 hours. During the 3 hours, I asked for an update and if she was ok. No one would ever come out. After 3 hours, I asked for my dog back. Someone came out and said that she wasn’t a priority- urgent and didn’t know when they would get to her. Triage patients first. I said there was only one pet there ahead of her 3 hours ago and no one gave us an update. I wouldn’t have waited if I knew they haven’t even looked at her! Needless to say, I pulled my sweet girl out of that place. She had no water and was just sitting in a cage. DON’T use them!!!

Staff is not well trained to triage patients. Aggressive dogs in waiting area with children running around. Poorly run. Will never go back.

It’s taken me months to even be able to write this review. I had the extreme displeasure of visiting this place 3 times. All three times were over the weekend when my normal vet was closed. I visited the 12 south location first. They misdiagnosed my dog (essentially just guessed and said Addison’s disease) gave him a steroid shot and sent him back out to me. He was clearly showing signs of distress and they offered that I could leave him overnight and wait for the specialist to come in the next morning, all for the reasonable price of $1600. I took my baby home and researched the diagnosis they gave. WRONG. All wrong. His symptoms didn’t even somewhat match Addison’s. The steroid shot did nothing for him (duh) and he was slipping into a dangerous zone of not eating and lethargy. I then decided to go to the Franklin Blue Pearl location. They admitted him and told me he would need X-rays before they could do anything. Understandable. What wasn’t understandable were the fees involved. I could have X-rays done there for $1400 or I could wait until Monday morning to see my vet and get the X-rays for around $300. I decided to wait to see my vet. This was my mistake. I should have left Blue Pearl and gone to another emergency vet. But they had his records from the last two visits, and I trusted they were doing all they could for my baby. Again, I was so wrong. They did nothing. I brought doctors a sick patient and without me agreeing to an overnight stay at the price tag of $2700...they did nothing for him. THREE SEPARATE VISITS, one careless misdiagnosis and thousands of dollars spent on zero care. They didn’t stabilize him, no fluids, gave him nothing for his discomfort and quoted me the most ridiculous prices, I wanted to vomit. I’m sobbing in my car outside the vet, on the phone trying to borrow money from family members so these greedy, callous people will treat my dog with dignity. Maybe veterinarians don’t have to abide by any Hippocratic oaths...but how about being a compassionate human?? The last visit was on a Sunday. I couldn’t scrape up the astronomical fees for an overnight stay and truthfully I didn’t feel right leaving him with them after all the f*ckery I witnessed at both of their locations. I rushed Sawyer into my regular vet on Monday morning. He was too far gone. He passed in my car on the way home from my vet. I had 3 days of 3 visits where I spent thousands and because I didn’t have thousands more to cough up, they did nothing. They threw their hands up and looked the other way. My child, my best friend, my soulmate died on 2/22/21 and I will never be the same. This was preventable. They wasted valuable time. This didn’t need to happen this way. Blue Pearl is about money and that is all. For profit and nothing else. This is reflected in their care for animals. Or lack of care in my case. I am shattered by the guilt I feel for taking Sawyer to this awful place. I don’t think I will ever forgive myself. I was panicked and not thinking properly. I truly hope that this review will help you make a decision that saves you from this devastation. It’s a sad world where the doctors at this hospital ignored a very sweet and sickly little boy who desperately needed their help. Bad business model. Bad business. Go to the emergency room at Nashville Veterinary Specialists on Sidco drive. I wish I had.

My 17 year old elderly cat took a turn for the worst and she had to be seen immediately. We called when we were on our way and when we arrived the staff rushed out to get her and began asking questions on her condition. It was hard to keep my composure and I was answering everything through the tears streaming down my face. They were very empathetic and put us in a room while we waited for the vet to check her. Please note I have never had to do this with a beloved pet before, so I didn’t know what the expect. The vet, Dr. Wolf came in and discussed our options. We decided the best for her would be euthanasia because her condition was so bad. They took us across the building to another room to say our goodbyes. They brought her in, wrapped in the blanket I had in her when we arrived, with an iv and told us to take as long as we needed and push the button when we were ready. It meant so much to have that time together alone. When we pressed the button Dr. Wolf came in and administered the medicines and explained everything that was happening. There was no rush. Afterwards they took her and made clay paw prints for us which we could pick up another day or have them shipped to us. We wanted to bury her on our property, so they brought her back out wrapped in her blanket inside a box. I was worried because I didn’t know how we would get her home, so when the staff member opened the door with her wrapped in the box I cried even more. It was so nice to have her wrapped up like that and we were able to leave through a side door instead of going through the main waiting area. Our experience was great for such a terrible outcome. The staff was very caring. They even sent follow up emails. Thank you Blue Pearl for your kindness and empathy for our sweet Sydney.

We took our 13 year old dachshund Suzie (who we had re-homed from a foster) into Blue Pearl on October 15th after she suffered a seizure as a result of other complications and she crossed the rainbow bridge at that time. We paid $373 for a private cremation and a week later I received a call to pick up the ashes. I asked if they could be sent to her mother. I was told yes and gave them the address. The ashes were never sent even after I called the 1st of November to follow up as they had not been received. Today, November 11th, I called and they STILL had not been sent and I went to Blue Pearl to pick them up to mail myself. For the amount of money we paid and for the heartache suffered over losing Suzie, you would think that better care and concern would have been exercised. And if they could not send the ashes, they should have let me know. While the doctors I have seen there have been excellent, the front office staff needs better organization and customer service skills. For example, when it is determined between the doctor and owners that an animal's life is at its end. the customer service person should offer immediately to the escort the parties to a private room to go over any details not start the discussion in the middle of the lobby as they did with us. Once she saw my tears and my husband's she got the clue to ask if we wanted to go into a private room. Some people don't have the sense God gave a goose!

In 2018, our 3.5 pound Yorkie woke with a swollen tummy. We took her to Blue Pearl on the recommendation of our regular vet. She needed an emergency gallbladder removal. It was already leaking. They performed the surgery immediately. Lucy recovered well and you can’t even see the scar on her tummy. They were kind and respectful. We felt like they actually cared about Lucy. Even her post-surgery check up brought in several of the team that worked on her to say “hi”. The care is excellent.

If you can at all wait, do NOT go here. This weekend, our cat started acting strangely. Vet wasn’t open so we took him here. They immediately brought him back and said his body temp was super low, and they were warming him up. Bloodwork and x-Ray- then the vet said she thought there was a 90% chance his bladder had exploded. Then she said he tested negative for bobcat fever, and then came back and said he was positive bobcat fever. She said it was terminal and he would be dead within a few days, and it would be best to get super expensive treatment there or euthanize him. They said death from this fever would be horrid and very painful. We took him home. Next day, acting normal. Took him to our (reputable) vet today to be retested. What do you know? Negative for bobcat fever. He isn’t dying. His blood cells were a bit off, but he is not terminal and will be fine. We almost euthanized a healthy 4 year old cat because of these people!!! Get a second opinion if you must go here but avoid if all possible!!! By the way, bobcat fever gives cats a high temp, not low, so they need to get their story straight if they continue to hastily diagnose animals and tell people their pet is dying!

Blue Pearl is truly something special. Their team of doctors and personnel have saved my dogs on 3 separate occasions. I am forever indebted to Blue Pearl. Special thanks to Dr. Waugh and her internal medicine team for taking care of my boy Whiskey.

Walked in and there was maybe 4-5 customers. They took my cat back within 20 minutes to get vitals so that was great. Then had to wait over 3.5 hours before they called my into a room(slow slow). Meanwhile they forgot about 2 customers waiting to be checked out in rooms for oh say 30+ minutes. The front desk girls are clueless and have no sense of awareness of the customers. If it wasn’t 8pm on a Saturday I would not out of come here. This place is so slow and has no sense of urgency. I will never come back to this place.

It can be challenging when you have to relocate and identify new caretakers for your beloved pet. A hearty thank you to Dr. Pamela Lucas and her staff for making our transition a smooth one. Dr. Lucas' personality, pleasant demeanor, positive lookout, professionalism and overall preparedness for our visit today are much appreciated. I left today's visit confident that my dogs care is in good hands.

I will start by saying I am not a customer here, but I did have a good experience. My pet needed to be sent to a specialist doctor and my doctor sent paperwork to Blue Pearl. I was contacted on Saturday which was good as I was anxious to make an appointment, I didn’t expect to hear anything until the following week. I needed a quick turn around but I would be unable to get in before I left town for several weeks and of course I was disappointed. The girl who helped me went out of her way to offer me another solution and found a blue Pearl about 3 hours away from my second home. She gave me their contact info and offered to forward my paperwork to them so I could get my pet treated while I was out of town. I truly appreciated her finding a solution to this problem for my family. So while I am not a customer I do appreciate this hospital and appreciate the care I was given despite not having even gone there. Thank you.

Definitely do your homework before considering this animal clinic. Every procedure has to be paid in advance with no guarantee of saving or healing your pet. We could understand that. But, CT scan run and blood work performed on my Frenchie. $1800 later, Never seen any scan results or blood work numbers. We were told that there's nothing they could do to save our 20 month old dog. Showed no sympathy. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!

The worst service I have ever recieved!!! I would have given a no star if it was an option. I took my cat in because she had 3 seziers in one night. They wanted to run a 5 panel $400 blood test that would have to be paid before I left and when I told them I couldn't do that, they then told me my bill would be $220. They did absolutely nothing for her but stick a needle in her arm.I paid $220 for an "exam"" and a needle....but nothing more!!
