CHAI has taken care of my pets for the last 4-5 years and I love them so much! I moved recently and the only thing I’m sad about is leaving them behind. It is truly a special place and unlike any other vet office. I tried another vet today and have to say the 30 minute commute to stay with chai might be worth it, they have spoiled me with how awesome they are. I cannot recommend this place and the special people who work here enough.

Absolutely wonderful place to take your pet! Best veterinarians around and you have choices. They provide conventional care and holistic or a combination. The staff are kind and helpful. Thanks to everyone there I have a sixteen and a half year old schnauzer who is still going strong! You couldn't ask for anything more.

I use to love this place.. maybe covid has made it the worst experience.... but the bill that I was quoted for 170$ went to 400$ really quick. Guess I will have to shop around, maybe they are desperate for money not sure what is going on.

To anyone looking for quality veterinary care, please look elsewhere. CHAI misdiagnosed my beloved 14 year old cat at the onset of his treatment and continued to misdiagnose him for almost a year. My cat had an aggressive form of cancer which was overlooked despite a clearly visible, growing mass next to his nose. Instead of simply aspirating the easily accessible mass or doing a biopsy on the mass, CHAI recommended an unnecessary full dental extraction that caused my sweet cat an extraordinary amount of pain + suffering. He never recovered from this unnecessary procedure because my cat had oral cancer not dental disease. After the disastrous treatment at CHAI, I took my sweet boy to the Veterinary Care + Specialty Group where the vets there clearly understood the aggressive form of oral cancer my cat had and were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, respectful and compassionate.

They are the best. They have holistic treatments. So many things. Our fur baby actually looks forward to going there.

CHAI is my dogs' and my favorite veterinarian clinic. Doctors are the best and caring, as are the technicians!

I am so GRATEFUL & THANKFUL to these lovely souls here. I started my hunt for holistic vet care after a terrible visit at another regular vet. This and they at Chai. Are much appreciated. Like God himself directed me right to them. I called & spoke to Sherry. She was patient as I rambled in a frenzy due to being so upset by the last vet we went to. She immediately got me in with Dr Smith. Let me tell you!! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted so warmly. The office is decorated very cute & the front office staff are AMAZING. Very friendly, very helpful. They showed us to a very calming, low lighted room. Doggie bed for the furbaby & comfortable chairs for the hoomans lol comforting decor as well. Clean smelling, as well as feeling. No metal tables or scales to scare the furbaby which was great! Liz the tech came in. She is AWESOME!!! She was very kind, soft spoken, and knowledgeable. She was eager to help & know what was going on. Dr Smith came in, and just wow! I was blown away by how WONDERFUL she too is. Very patient, knowledgeable, helpful, concerned, caring. She had my furbabys records from the last vet. She had already examined them & went right into what we needed to do. She suggested Ozone Therapy & changing her diet. She not only told me what to get but where & gave me 2 recipes to get my baby girl started. We have been 3 times now. My baby girl is on her 2nd treatment of the Ozone therapy. She done amazing on her 1st one & I'm sure she will do great on her 2nd. I'm writing this as I wait on her now. The staff again, have been absolutely amazing. They held her while she had to wait her turn today. Needless to say, she eat up the attention she has gotten while here. I wish I had found them years ago. 5 ⭐ isn't enough in my opinion. I'd give them 100 if I could. Thank you Chai Staff!! I'm confident you all will help my little girl. I look forward to our journey together. God Bless You All.

Dr. Colleen Smith was a breath of fresh air! After our Shih Ztu had been seen by 6+ vets, she walked me through everything our dog was experiencing, made recommendations and most importantly, gave me instructions in writing before I left. Two+ hours in the initial consultation....I was extactic! Now, we are on our way to healing our dog without expensive antibiotics or steriods!

My experience has been very good so far. They had a mishap with my dogs vial of blood so I gave them 4 stars. Soldier Boy will be back for tooth removal in few weeks, all goes well , I will definetly change it to 5 stars. Everyone has been informative and kind. Wish they were closer to Hixson/Soddy area. Thank you all for what you do for our pets. Now 6 more to bring in lol.

I’ve lived in the area for around 10 years, and I’ve got four dogs. CHAI without a doubt saved the life of two of my dogs. The mindset at CHAI is to find the root of the problem and find a solution. This isn’t something I’ve found at multiple other facilities that tend to lean towards symptom treatment. Everyone here goes above and beyond to be available and thorough. I wouldn’t recommended going anywhere else.

This place is one of those rarely found awesome places that you just know can’t last forever so better appreciate it while it’s still here. Awesome practice. Dr. Smith is phenomenal.

I was a client CHAI for several years. The holistic veterinarians are outstanding- compassionate & very skilled. The holistic approach is evident even in the exam rooms, which include soft lighting, seats where owners can can cuddle with pets and no slippery silver exam tables! One of my dogs had acupuncture treatments and chiropractic that helped her walk again when other vets said she would have to have surgery. While my pets were always treated with every kindness and respect by vets and technicians, my experience with administrative staff was not at all positive. After talking with several friends who had also experienced the shortness, negativity and disregard from some administrative staff, I made the difficult decision to seek holistic vet care elsewhere.

At the recommendation of a friend, took our dog for a 2nd opinion after diagnosis of heart worms, and a pretty aggressive and pricey treatment plan. We got a great greeting from Courtney and Ashley, and a very detailed but understandable treatment plan from the veterinarian Colleen, at a much fairer price. We are in the course of treatment now, and are expecting good results. Nice visit all around.

I really appreciate an alternative practice where natural methods and treatments are the first course of action and not an afterthought. Much gentler on my kitty’s body and more effective.

We had our first visit today and I am so impressed. I have never been to a clinic that is so proactive. Just one example of many was the recommendation of a supplement to (hopefully) allow my sweet girl to reduce her pain medication dose. This was without me even having to ask, and we received loads of info on non-kibble diets. It very refreshing and appreciated.

Although we weren’t able to save our sweet girl, Mary Jane, we feel she was well treated and the team did everything they could do for her. Thank you in particular to Dr Smith and Liz! As much as it hurts that we couldn’t save her, I feel at peace knowing I have finally found a vet that I can trust. I am a strong believer in holistic wellness and nutrition and Finally, a vet clinic that thinks like me and doesn’t Mock my lifestyle. I feel blessed to have found you for my two remaining fur babies. Thank you for what you do, you are all appreciated by my family. Angela & Mark Barkett

After exhausting multiple pain medications we were on the verge of losing hope. We took our nearly 16 year old cocker spaniel to CHAI for acupuncture. He was experiencing periodic weakness in his back legs, due largely to some lingering …

Very kind, caring and knowledgeable staff. One of my pups had a bad experience at a vet once and has been very uneasy since. They are so patient with him and I think he's starting to learn the vet isn't such a bad place! I've got an elderly cat with some chronic health issues and because of them her quality of life has been drastically improved. I love the alternate, Holistic options they give to traditional medicine, but that they also offer them if necessary. They will even recommend where you can get a product if they are out of stock. Very competitive pricing as well! Have been taking my pets here for over 2 years now and will continue to do so!

Hands down the best place. Amazing staff from booking appointment to the follow up call a couple days after the appointment by the actual get. Bones seemed to be comfortable. Treatment plan is working for his itchy skin. ????????????

We've been seeing Dr. Smith for a long time. My shi tzu was in renal failure and it was clear that acupuncture helped her. The only time she would eat was after a session. She always came home ravenous. For an intelligent approach to integrative medicine, go see Dr. Smith. Megan the receptionist is quite an exceptional young woman as well. Super-friendly and caring. Impressive group.

Great advice and help on creating a healthy lifestyle for your pet. But all the best of modern western medicine as well! My favorite thing about CHAI is they do 3 year rabies vaccinations, so that I don't have to pump my babies with unnecessarily frequent vaccines.
