This is our favorite vet, hands down!!!

Staff was pleasant but they clearly don’t keep track of what the give. I brought my dog in for annual vaccines and asked that he receive the bordatella as well. I then watched them him give the annuals and the bordatella but when I got home i noticed they didn’t have the bordatella listed. I called and ask that they fix this so he records would be right and they proceeded to tell me that I must be mistaken bc their records show he never got it. Then when I asked exactly what the two shots and the intranasal shot were, that he received she said that I was mistaken and he never received them… I literally watched them give them. I won’t be going back!

we just recently had to put our 12 year old dog (Maggie) down here, and they were very compassionate and let us be there for the whole entire process. it was a very sad day, but they were very understanding and took very good care of our Maggie. i do recommend them 100%

My husband and I are fairly new to the area and faced the sad situation of putting our 13+yr Collie to sleep permanently. Upon recommendation, I called Animal Clinic East and they were quick to accommodate us and planned to have a private room ready when we arrived. They were so sensitive to our needs and really responsive to our loss. The staff and Dr Jessica went beyond to make sure that all went as best as possible for us in this difficult situation. I would definitely recommend this office.

Animal Clinic East - Gunbarrel has to be hands down the worst vet. My dogs allergies have gotten terrible, called was told he doesn’t need an appointment bring him in, I get there and they say “oh if you don’t have an appointment he will be a walk-in” ok well I just called you said to bring him in. “Thats just for his shot. It’ll be 95 dollars for him to be a walk in, 65 if you had an appointment, We have appointments tomm” meanwhile my dog looks horrible hives everywhere. I am floored. The tech comes back and said dr said that it will still be the 95 to be seen today. Last time they forgot to give me my medicine, sent me home with an empty pill bottle. Called back in they said “oh sorry forgot to put those in there. Come back in, again” these people think that my time isn’t valuable, my dogs condition isn’t serious enough and they didn’t seem to care about him AT ALL! I WILL never go back to these people. They are the most unprofessional group of people!

Very knowledgeable vet there to help my lizard. Even did a earlier than planned surgery on her. I will be taking all my other animals here.

Nice, friendly staff. CLEAN! Dr. Pilkington was knowledgeable, patient and kind. He answered all our questions and educated us well.

Something has changed on their business model the past year. My cat is an established patient. Whenever I call about a problem to be seen, it is 2 weeks out for a "regular" appointment, but they can see me on a same day basis if I pay $90 more! Just seem to want to save open slots for higher priced "emergencies"and no loyalty to established clients.

Although I can only comment on the one time I've been here, and that was just to pick up my neighbor's dog from being kenneled there. The staff was very friendly, didn't have to wait long for them to bring pet to me.

Awful grooming, left patches of long hair all over. My dog came home scared of baths and car rides like he’s never been before. I’m extremely disappointed and will never be taking him back. UPDATE: the clinic manager reached out and tried to make it right. I really appreciate the effort and have had good experiences with the clinical staff, so I will just avoid grooming.

I rushed into Animal Clinic East 8 years ago with a dying cat. Unfortunately, it was his time to go, but the care that was given and the compassion that we were shown made us life-long customers. My animals are family and I completely trust the professionals at Animal Clinic East to treat them as such. Dr. Decook and Dr. Pilkington know my animals and I can always trust them to give them the best care while keeping them as comfortable as possible.

I was absolutely blown away by Dr. McKeever. He spent so much time with me explaining about my dog’s issue and I’ve never had a vet take that much time. He was knowledgeable, reassuring and kind. We have found the perfect vet for our dogs!

I run a business a couple hrs away near Knoxville. Some of my clients drive a couple hrs to Chattanooga and rave about the service there. I've heard great things!

Knowledgeable, friendly, affordable and loving to your fur babies.

We have been patients of Animal Clinic East for about 4 years now, with two different dogs. I've felt pretty comfortable with the office and staff. The convenience of Saturday and evening appointments was very appealing. I know Covid has changed the world for everyone but when it came time for my dog's annual check up, I made use of their curbside service and have done so a few times for medicine refills. I called today to ask about getting an appointment because my dog has been exhibiting some new behaviors. The wait for an appointment was until next week unless I wanted to drop him off in the morning and they'd call me after he'd been "worked in". I appreciate that they're having to get creative with money saving but doing away with weekend veterinary services is a poor decision in my opinion. The receptionist confirmed that there's been a lot of push back about it too. I called another vet's office--one that could see me same day--and if the appointment goes well, we're officially switched over. It's unfortunate too because I have always felt that every staff member cares about my animal when he's there, especially the front staff and the vet techs.

I took my two cats in, Shane was their groomer and he did a great job. Thank you so much for helping me and my cats.

Since the plandemic everyone is incompetent and now use it as an excuse to inconvenience everyone. You can go in everywhere but you can’t go into a vet. And now they take forever, what a joke!
