Very friendly and helpful staff. The supplies here are much higher quality than the things you will find at the big box stores, however the prices may be slightly higher as a result (but it is worth it!).

The STAFF are terrific through and through, time after time, they've gone above and beyond for us. Products also ???? quality. I would rate 5 stars if not for pricing, but I'm also starting to understand the value of quality, so take the 4 stars with a grain of salt ????????❤️

We absolutely love this place. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The dog wash has spoiled us and we will probably never bath our two dogs at home again.

Support this local business and I mean it! They gave me like 60 bucks worth of free cat supplies when I adopted mine from the shelter. Also the staff is always helpful.

Service was not good- way overpriced but we were in a pinch for dog food while on the road. Two stars because they have a large selection. I will not be back. Only place in Boone that required masks.

Prices were only alright and their stock was limited for a lot of things. Their nonfood goods were very expensive. I was impressed with their self wash services though, they seemed very clean and accommodating.

They have a very helpful staff. Sure, you might find a few things cheaper on the internet, but the quality of service and assistance you get with The Pet Place is worth the difference. Plus, they have a frequent shopper program!

We love taking our pup Rainier here. The doggie wash is always amazing and everyone here helps us any time we need a recommendation on new food/treats.

I was in town for a couple of hours and needed to get some dog food for my puppy. They were great, recommended a product and gave free samples of food. I have since ordered that puppy food. Thanks for the kind gesture.

Friendly service and good amenities. For 20 bucks you can wash your pet with shampoo, towels, and dryers included.

Not good. Lost both my fur babies (dogs) within 6 months. Adopted a puppy in Oct. And then adopted a sister for our puppy 5 months later. Pet Place would not honor the certificate for free food, toy, and treats that was given at time of adoption. I was told that I was only allowed 1 per year. Really. Very disappointed. I rescued 2 dogs and this the way they treat potential customers. Sorry I will not ever go back to this store plus all their products are way to expensive. I guess their overhead is more important.

Though dogless at the moment, I have lots of canine friends, and buy all their treats here. Pet Place has THE superlative selection of organic, sustainable, and single-sourced treats for dogs. From little tiny training treats to large chews or jerky; some are fresh-baked, some chewy or crunchy, some with fruit, or oils, and/or herbs. My current favorites contain either rabbit or strawberries with yogurt. Yum! Their staff is strong, friendly, and knowledgeable, and offer community sources to help both the animals and their humans. ????????????????

The Pet Place has had my business many times over the years, but I applaud them for everything they've done since the start of the pandemic. They have followed guidelines and stood by their decisions. The also offer alternate shopping options to those who cannot wear a mask. Thank you to the whole staff for facing down all these challenges and staying strong!

I recently moved here and have been very pleased with how The Pet Place is being safe in regards to COVID. Their curbside option is quick and easy, the one time I had to go in they had a person standing near the door to ensure everyone is wearing a mask and sanitizing their hands. Gotta keep our 90 year old grandmother safe!

I went into this shop because I was looking for some items my pets need and to pick out some toys for them. I have a medical condition that prohibits me from wearing a mask, and informed the employee at the door of this. While I was examining an item, a mask was shoved under my nose by another employee. I calmly stated that I had a medical condition and the employee rudely informed me that I could either put a mask on, or be served outside. Due to the nature of what I was shopping for, being served outside was not an option. The shop was JAM PACKED with no social distancing being enforced. If this was about health, social distancing would have been enforced. I was discriminated against because of a medical condition that prohibits me from wearing a mask, and made an “example” of. I will NEVER shop at this store again. Another business can have my money.

Wanted to leave a friendly reminder that not all individuals that visit your establishment are able to wear a mask or required to. Especially those individuals that have special needs. Your staff was prompt to share what the CDC guidelines entail but in that same breath unaware that the CDC does not recommend individuals with special needs to wear a mask as they can pose a greater health risk to the individual. Also, anyone that is unable to remove a mask on their own are not required to wear a mask for similar risks. And trust me if parents and caregivers could get their special needs children to wear a mask they would to avoid these embarrassing situations and increase health safety. These same CDC guidelines recommend social distancing as an alternative which if you are following these guidelines properly and in entirety shouldn’t be hard to do in your establishment. If your establishment is unable to accommodate everyone then maybe you should have a closed door policy and keep to just your curbside. What was once a favorite place for a special needs child and their family to visit is now a place they were made to feel more than unwelcome. In all, if you have children with special needs maybe find another place to take your business as you will be denied entry without a mask regardless.

The ONLY place I shop for my german shepherd. All natural foods, treats, amd the way they great my dog at the door is unreal :) Olivia and Tina were awesomeeeeeee

This is my go-to place for everything for our furbabies. Staff is knowledgeable, especially for special-needs pets, and either has or can order whatever you need. And they are doing a fabulous job of keeping everyone safe during the pandemic, on top of their usual wonderful service!

Best place to shop for pets. Friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. Locally owned. Masks required, so I feel safe. Love this store.

to a person who cannot wear a face covering due to a medical or behavioral health condition, including but not limited to anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance. This is off the town of Boone website . you are miss quoting it by saying it says no one is exempt from wearing a mask. Maybe you should read it before you tell people an untruth.

I love this store. I have been shopping here for at least 5 years. The owners and staff are always so pleasant and helpful. They only sell the highest quality products, and do their research to ensure everything on their shelves will help our pets and not hurt them. I also volunteer with a local cat rescue and we get all our kibble (NutraSource cat and kitten formula) from them. It keeps all of our cats super healthy with gorgeous shiny coats. They have held several adoption events for us, keep a donation jar out for us, and recently have initiated a new adoption package for our adopters. We love Sandy, Jeff, Tina and their crew. They truly care about the people AND animals of our community. SHOP/SUPPORT LOCAL!

Stopped by to see how the store was and if they had any fish supplies. While the supplies for fish were limited, they did have a nice selection of healthy looking Betta fish, so I purchased a kit for my kids. They are the proud new keepers of their blue friend, "Leroy!" Clean, nice place - worth stopping by.
