My experience with them was great while they took care of my pet in a quick and professional manner.

My dog had a medical issue that needed to be addressed, and I was given an urgent care appointment with this veterinarian office. Being new to the area, we had not established with a veterinarian office up to this point. I can’t say enough praises about the service and care my dog received during this visit. Even in these unique circumstances with COVID-19 affecting how humans and animals are being cared for in the community, this clinic had the process smooth and efficient. My interactions with the clinical and support staff was second to none. I’m very grateful for the care my dog received, and look forward to my return to this office.

Everyone was very nice and the are very cautious about COVID. It was a little funky checking in and out via phone instead of being inside the building, but overall it worked out well and I was happy to be able to go in with my pet. I do think they could have communicated a little bit better about my pet's needs post appointment though. The was information on the paperwork that I received that I felt was not thoroughly communicated to meet during the appointment.

The staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. They answered all the questions that I asked and Dr. McAdams was very knowledgeable. They also were very attentive to our dogs.

Dr. Chris (sp) and the staff are very professional, and kind with the animals and, have a great “bedside“ manner. We take both of our dogs there; one is a little nervous and skittish the other not so much. The people at the office interacted with both dogs wonderfully. They’re also very patient with any questions that I’ve had about either dog.

I helped my son and daughter-in-law out by taking their small dog in to see Dr. Chris. She was warm, friendly and compassionate and offered us detailed advice about her care and the medication she was prescribing. The office called the next morning to see how the dog was doing on the prescribed medication and I told them I was pleased and grateful. Celia

The vet walked me through each vaccination and medication that my cat needed, she did a wonderful job at informing me. I will definitely be going back when the time comes :)

Great people, good services, pet friendly, They want you to give up your dog at the door and let me tell you that’s tough for a momma, they had no seats to relax outside while you wait so I expect they want you to wait in the car, it was my first time and it was a bit awkward. I forgot to ask them to check for heart worms since it was a stray and they never asked if I wanted him checked, I am a new owner and had no idea what to ask for. I would return though.

Great vets, great techs, great people, but some issues with the administrative side of things. Still an easy recommendation, just make sure you keep up with your payments etc, they tend to lose them, then ask to back charge you. Update Sept 2021: Best vets in town. Any issues with payments etc have been worked out and the staff really is the best. Don't hesitate to take your furry family here, they will be in great hands.

I had to bring my kitty in urgently, I thought he just needed meds or something. The staff was very nice and helpful, but I learned that he was so sick he needed to go to the hospital. Later I learned there was no hope of recovery and had to put him to sleep. I am traumatized and devastated.

We are new in town, and have a cat that needed to be seen quickly. Appalachian New River Veterinary Clinic fit us in quickly, and gave great care and attention to Monster. Thank you so much! ????

My little cat who’s about 13 months old had never been to a vet. The staff was so sweet and understanding. They were very kind to not only me but to my pet as well, which is incredibly important! You can tell that they’re animal lovers and it makes all the difference. Very good service, very professional, very good people!

I have gone to App New River for 7 years now. With my mom working there for almost 5 years of that, I got to see first hand the awesome treatments and care that pets were receiving. Now as an adult with a dog of my own, it was an even cooler experience to be able to be on the patient end of things. Our English bulldog had a tumor on his heart that caused fluid build up in most of his little body. Because of the awesome team and Dr. Koh, Dr. McAdams and Dr. Kris, a dog who shouldn't have lived a couple days after his diagnosis, lived months after. Our new pup's first visit was full of love and excitement. We appreciate what you guys do. Thank you!

First time visitor to this office; I just moved to the area. They went over all talked about services and pricing before my dog was seen and discussed it all when they were finished. They were kind to my dog when they took him from the car and upon returning. They were sensitive to the fact I had to wait outside due to COVID restrictions; I got a water and crackers. They are a no-stress vet, so they did not trim my dogs nails nor collect a stool sample since my dog was 'not having that.' My only drawback is I would have preferred meeting the doctor for the first time rather than sending my dog into the building without me, but this is a standard practice now with COVID. Overall, happy with the services and will return.

Highly recommend. I am here on vacation and my dog slipped while hiking and broke one of his toenails within the quick and it was hanging in a way that was hurting him to walk. I called this morning and they were able to squeeze me in within 2.5 hours of when I called. The process to get him signed up for a first visit was simple and fast. My dog gets nervous going into the vet if I don’t come with him. The vet spent time outside with him getting my dog used to him vs simply dragging him into the building. When he came back out my dog seemed to be happy versus how he acts leaving the vets back home. I also mentioned the allergy meds he was on and they informed me of a rewards program for the medication that neither of the 2 vets I use back home informed me of. If this vet wasn’t 6 hours from my home, I’d switch to this one.

Friendly staff and very efficient while still keeping safety in mind with Covid precautions. The vet even taught my puppy Gunther a new trick!

My English Bulldog puppy was a patient at this vet clinic for almost a year. We’ve been seen by different vets in the clinic who prescribed 7 courses of antibiotics and some steroids to my poor puppy which destroyed my my dog digestion and skin as well as effecting one of the eyes. All of the vets blamed my English Bulldog issues on his breed. Isn't it your job and didn't you spend years studying to help and not tear down your patients, the overgrown dogs, and your paying customer who holds the leash and loves to see certain dogs? The ideal dog, just like the ideal person, doesn't exist. They are there, they live and have feelings so help them with passion and love or choose another job. Definitely not recommend this vet office to anyone.

I had to make an urgent care visit on a Saturday and was impressed with the way they got us right in and diagnosed him successfully. Binx is now behaving and feeling normal again.

Always friendly and professional service. I am a person that my dogs are my kids, especially since I never had two-legged ones. I have had dogs and horses for the last 49 years. So, I have been to more vets than I want to count. Dr. …

My older Yorkie is very sick and Dr. Finster has taken care of her like she was her own. Very thorough explanation of her issues and choices to make. I would highly recommend Appalachian New River.

Everyone was extremely courteous and professional. The whole appt was timely and i was kept informed of all the steps that i should expect during the curbside visit. They give you a snack and water for when you wait outside for your pet! Dr. Marvin was exceptionally informative and patient with answering all the questions we asked. We felt comfortable with the plan she laid out for our dog. This was such an amazing experience because we have had challenges with trying to figure out the best care plan for our Meatball. Dr Marvin definitely put us at ease and gave us hope. Although we are not locals 100% of the time, we will be coming back for follow up visits.

I called them because my pug had hurt his eye and all the vet clinics near me were closed for the 4th of July weekend. This clinic was open and they fit me in that same day for an "urgent care" appointment. They were great --very professional and thorough. The vet I spoke to (due to covid, they only interact via the phone), was great. I didn't catch her name, but she was very attentive and conscientious in our phone conversations. Then when they had treated my pug, the vet tech brought him out and went over the medicine instructions very carefully to make sure i understood. I really appreciated that. My pug is doing much better today, but next time he has an urgent problem, I'm bringing him back up here to App New River Vet Associates!

We were impressed at the professionalism and caring of the Dr. as well as the team. We were never rushed even though it was Friday around 6:00. Also the follow up was excellent.

While visiting from out of town they were able to work my dog in for an urgent care visit. Fantastic service! Would certainly continue to come here if we lived in town.

I am not from Boone, but my dog was sick and had to be seen. Dr. Koh and staff treated my 9-year old dog as if she had been a patient with them for her her entire life! They were so caring, helpful, professional and most importantly, they got to the bottom of what was happening. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Koh and the practice. They are beyond amazing!
