I'm sad... I know they were busy with other emergencies and I get that. But I was quoted $900 for my dog and they didn't even look at her. They asked us to fill out paperwork, picked it up, then came and got her. They said they would call me with her vitals. My Pomeranian was attacked by a Husky. since they didn't even access the damage I and will take her to my own vet if she makes it.

Consult a Veterinary Triage Chart before going. Wait times can be very long unless your pet has a Level 1 emergency. I left after 3hrs without seeing a veterinarian. I realize acute emergencies take priority, but I would have appreciated candid feedback when I inquired "how much longer" after waiting 1.5hrs and zero interaction with anyone at this facility.

I have received amazing care MULTIPLE times for several animals over the years here. They have saved my pets with the most care and quality around. When there was no way to save them they helped me to say good bye they best way possible. This is an EMERGENCY vet. Prices aren’t going to be cheap it’s like an ED for a person. If you can’t be a responsible pet owner willing to pay for the life of a pet then it might not be the best to have an animal.

Though yes there are long wait times, this place is amazingly efficient. You have to realize if the time you go a lot of fur babies are sick, of course it may take longer to be seen just like a normal hospital. They can’t help that. Critical care is always first and you’d hope the same if your baby was in critical care. My terrier was diagnosed with IVDD and they helped him tremendously. No push for surgery, just advice on self healing plus some steroids and pain meds. VERY REASONABLY PRICED!! He’s already doing much better today (less than 24 hours). Another huge bonus- these people actually care about your animals. I woke up to a call from them right when I woke up the next day to check on him which I really appreciated.

From Skylar at the front desk, to Dr. Edmonds & her team, in a worrisome situation they were calm, professional, and caring. They eased my fears and treated my sweet girl as if she was their own. Angelica is resting comfortably at home after excellent care. God bless you!

Over priced, really poor communication with staff and owner, don't seem to care about the health and well-being of a animal! All wa asked was to do what it took to get dog better but all they cared about was $$$ I took dog for 2nd opinion after no progress of healing, and the problem was totally different from what they had just made up to move us along!

I believe every employee here does the best job they can and acts in good faith in trying to help their patients and customers. That alone isn't enough though. I was told multiple times by a vet, when asked to make a decision regarding my dog’s status, that a certain test/imaging/care decision was a “50/50”. If I wanted to stay at home and flip a coin to decide what to do with my sick animal, I would. Instead, I paid a medical professional $2,000 to ho-hum to me over the phone every few hours while my dog suffered with what ultimately ended up being a common and treatable condition. Why was my dog discharged twice before I was ever even given a diagnosis? Why was I called and asked, “how is your dog doing this morning?” when he was still in the ICU, under your care, and had been for >12 hours at that point? His condition worsened almost immediately after both discharges and he had to be readmitted twice before I was even given a name for what was causing the problem. Why was I told that imaging would be performed at a given time, then texted that it would be done an hour later, then when I called in two hours after it was supposed to be completed, I was told that it was “happening now actually”? It’s also worth noting, the exam and report had to be completely redone by the dayshift team. I was not given a reason for this, but I worked in an imaging facility for years, and you don’t issue a reread, let alone a complete do-over, if you think imaging was done well or correctly the first time. Why was I instructed to arrive at shift change to discuss the ongoing treatment plan for my animal with the day shift vet, in person, only to sit in the parking lot for the better part of an hour, to then be told that the doctor had gone home, and in the subsequent conversation with the night shift vet be told “ahaha yeah sorry, I just got here” after I had to correct multiple details of his condition/care ? I also saw the day shift vet walk out of the facility while on this call. If you’re going to tell people that someone has gone home for the day, don’t make the main stairway in the facility out of glass and have it facing the customer parking lot. This emergency clinic, the accompanying regular care clinic, and boarding facility are clearly very successful businesses, so why does the most important aspect of that business, emergency care, seem to suffer from such a lack of resources to the point it impacts their ability to provide care? I know this is a stressful task, that demands a lot of the people that do it and I appreciate them for having the strength to get up and do it every day, but again, sometimes intent isn’t enough. This facility needs more investment and not the ugly, cheap pre-fab architecture kind that I’m sure my $2k went to paying off. Hire more and better train existing, staff. It’s not the fault of the overworked and I’m sure underpaid staff that details were continuously gotten wrong, but that impacts treatment, which impacts people’s lives. This facility charges first rate prices, make no mistake, but they do not provide first rate care. It doesn’t have to continue to be like this, I hope that changes are made for the better and soon.

Saturday evening, my cat scratched my parakeet, Pidgey and I rushed the bird to the Emergency Clinic. Cat scratches are lethal to birds so I knew the bird needed immediate antibiotics. I was told my the receptionist that your facility couldn’t help me because you all do not treat birds. I explained that I just needed antibiotics to save the birds life. She then informed me that legally you cannot treat birds. Maybe you should change your sign to a cat/dog emergency clinic and not animals. Very disappointed!

We took our 2 year old lab in for a wound right next to his eye. We are visiting out of town and didn’t think the cut was a super big deal, but wanted a vet to take a look at it before we went back home. Everyone in the office (vet, vet tech, receptionist) was super friendly and professional. We even got a call the next day to see how he was doing. The wait was about an hour, but it was expected considering we brought him in for something minor and they needed to deal with more severe patients first.

Paid for surgery for our beloved Dixie at 5:30pm, she had a hernia. We paid as fast as we could to speed up the procedure, from what was discussed with the receptionist, Dixie the dog was about to go into surgery as soon as we finished sedation paperwork. After finishing everything needed to get on with surgery we were left waiting for several more hours. When calling back at around 8:30pm she still wasn’t in surgery and then after waiting more till 12:30AM at night, we received a call saying that Dixie passed away in her cage and they tried to give CPR to her when they found her dead in the cage. The vet or vet tech explained that “emergency clients came in and needed to be treated first”, wasn’t even courteous....what’s backwards to me is what’s more of an emergency than being hit by a Car, getting a hernia, having your owners pay for a surgery 8 hours before any prep for surgery is ever done, and then being told that after paying for your little loved one and waiting so patiently that she died waiting in a cage to be saved. Before 5:30 when paying a HEFTY bill for last efforts of saving her life, I had said to my mom several times that this would happen, that we would pay only for it to never happen and to be kept waiting around. Of course when you think there’s hope of your animal being saved, when it doesn’t happen you can’t help but think what animals were more important than her at that time. If I would’ve foreseen this in the future, I could’ve kept Dixie at home with me on the couch letting her go out knowing how loved she was on her last day instead of letting her pass away while awaiting help.

We had to have our dog of 16 years put down. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and compassionate. They got us in quickly and made a very difficult day a little better. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.

My 12-year-old Australian blueheeler got sick over the Labor Day weekend so I was not able to take him to his regular vet. He has a history of a very sensitive stomach but this was the worst episode he had ever had. After taking x-rays they convinced me that he had a foreign object in his stomach even though the x-rays were inconclusive. My dog has no history of this type of thing. But I was given no other course of treatment other than surgery. I was told later an ultrasound would have been the more right course to take to get a more definite answer before surgery but this was not offered to me. After an extremely high charge for surgery they cut the poor dog open to find exactly nothing. Completely unnecessary surgery. They kept the dog not even 24 hours and sent him home in much worse shape than when he got there. And with the original problem. They called the next day to check on him and I told the girl how bad he was doing and that he still had the original problem I brought him in for. They never called back. I called and asked to speak to whoever the owner or manager of the places and they assured me they would call. It’s been a week they haven’t called. I spent $3000 just to have my dog tortured and be sent home with The same problem he came in with. Now going to have to take him to it yet another vet . I only recommend taking your pet here if there’s no other option and they’re going to die.

The service was incredible with Dr. Fitch and the staff were extremely compassionate during a difficult time. Every effort was made to save our dog and options were laid out clearly for us to move forward. It's pricey, but so is any type of emergency clinic. Definitely recommended.

First thing to understand here is that you are an inconvenience to these vets. God forbid your dog have something very wrong with them because your file will be handed from person to person and none of them want to deal with you. Don’t take your pet here. Absolutely zero communication here between the vets and the front desk. All the vets other than Dr Leslie are very green. They have misdiagnosed our pets and one ended up in a very dire situation. They are extremely unprofessional and the girl Nicole that works the front desk is an absolutely mess. Zero amount of care for what is going on. God forbid you pay and then need a question answered. $2000 later and they completely ghosted us. Won’t respond to fill prescriptions and will not follow through on anything they say they will. Take your pets elsewhere. Horrible. Dr Edman and Dr King are very friendly but just very green. Both have misdiagnosed our pets.

We are visiting family from out of state. Our boy Parker stopped eating and became weak. We took him to this wonderful emergency clinic to find out what was wrong. The vets and staff are wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for any better. We so appreciate their concern for Parker!

We saw this vet a few weeks ago because my puppy ate a leather chew toy and we thought there might be an obstruction because of uncontrolled vomiting. The wait was long, 3.5 hours but they had the shortest wait time of emergency vets within a three hour radius of our home, many had 8-9 hour waits. It is after all an emergency clinic and this was a Saturday night so all the animals waiting were emergency patients. The wait was worth it because the vet we saw was very kind and compassionate and treated my dog well. The whole staff was very friendly and patient when I called multiple times to check on her. Luckily we avoided surgery and she was discharged the following day. I did remove a star because she came home with an eye infection which needed to be treated at our family vet but other than that we had a positive experience and I felt that they really cared about the work they do.

Okay, so first off, the people there are really friendly. The vet’s assistants were really kind/ They did take adequate care of my dog when he had an allergic reaction, which I appreciate. However, be prepared to be charged a lot. I’m kind of upset because I explained on the way there that I was tight on funds and wanted to make sure there was nothing I could do before bringing my dog in. They said no, which was fine because he did needed the shot, but then charged me $20 for 4 Benadryl pills to take home. Pills I could have bought for $3 at the store. Personally, I hate it when vets aren’t willing to work with you and your budget. I love my dog so much I would have emptied my bank account to help him, and I feel taken advantage of. If your in a pinch and need an emergency vet right away after hour and they’re the closest , go to them. I just wouldn’t suggest it in a situation where you can wait for another vet’s office to be open to try somewhere else.

Wonderful care and wonderful people. Thanks so much for taking care of my Elle today and taking the time to explain everything. Dr Edman was amazing. Compassionate and knowledgeable. She interacted beautifully with my very anxious and sick dog. So lucky we were about to see you and this great team! Thanks for giving us comfort in a stressful situation. ❤️

per/Arianna Blevins~ Moon( which is a her) was Vaccinated, after being rescued from you we were told from the new vet that you had given her a false positive test and were going to let her suffer and charge us for it, huh go figure! We have proof she never had parvo while under your care, you just never cared enough to treat her or find out what was wrong with her. Never, ever, ever, under any circumstance take your animal here, especially if you love them ❤️

Horrible place. 5 Hour long wait while my dog was dying in my car. Only out for the money, they do not care about their patients. Please do not go here.

They are so amazing here! The staff is so friendly, and you can tell they really care about the animals. I actually felt like I was listened to, and my pup was treated so well. I felt like the prices were reasonable as well, especially for being an emergency clinic.

All the staff from the veterinarians, technicians, front desk, EVERYONE is remarkable. I had to have my precious Delilah put to sleep, the hardest thing I have ever done. These folks are so compassionate and caring. God Bless you All.

While vacationing in Boone, our dog, Rosie, was attacked by another dog on a walking trail. After we soon discovered a wound on her side, we Googled local vets; it was after hours and brought her to your clinic. We so appreciated the kindness and compassion we were all shown by the receptionist, tech and Dr. Erdman. Dr. Erdman took the time to explain the nature of the wound and her treatment rationale. (We were pleasantly surprised by the fee, as well.) We were all able to enjoy the rest of our trip, Rosie led the way on our hikes and I’m happy to say she is healing beautifully. Thank you so much!

Our sweet Sam went into labor with her pups late Sunday night and something wasn't right so we rushed her to the vet. The staff met us at the car and helped us get her inside. They took the time to carefully determine the best things to do for her and her puppies, meanwhile keeping us informed every step of the way. Everyone was so kind and took such great care of us during a scary time. I hope to never make another middle of the night vet run but if I do I know exactly where I will be going! Sam has settled in back at home and she's being the best mom, all thanks the the incredible Vets, Vet Techs, and Staff!

The doctor was knowledgeable with good bedside manner. The staff was nice and helpful. They do not give rescue prices to rescuers even with a registered nonprofit!!! And insisted on calling me the "owner" even though I put the rescue's name and info on my intake form and corrected them every time they said "owner." I am the FOSTER for the RESCUE but just paid OWNER PRICES. A bit heartless on their part because we just spent a small fortune that could have been used to save other community cats in need. Very disappointed on that note.

Our situation started after a long drive from the East coast to Boone. Jack, our 14 year old poodle had several medical problems over the past years. Upon arrival to Boone, we knew he was in a state of emergency. The staff at Animal Emergency Clinic were so understanding and caring. I will never forget you. Thank you ❤
