We stopped here to pick up some treats for the fur children. Owner is delightful to chat with. More dog toys than cat toys. Good supply of antler chews.

There is no place like Mountain Dog. The owner is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the care of animals. All products are made in the USA and I appreciate the time she took with our dog to find items that actually fit him

My husband and I visited Mountain Dog and Friends “The Dog and Cat Store” while visiting Sugar Mt. ski resort in North Carolina. We are happy we checked this store out! We met the owner Cathy and she was impressively knowledgeable about pet foods, supplements, pet treats, and many other topics “pet related”. Due to losing our beloved pet due to cancer we are seeking a holistic lifestyle for our other pups. Cathy guided us to look for certain ingredients and what to avoid in pet foods and supplements. I can’t say enough about her and her pet store. If your in this neck of the woods definitely check this gem of a pet store out. I wish we had her and her store where we live. The large commercial pet stores do not offer this level of knowledge. If you love pets check out Mountain Dog and Friends Dog and Cat Store. I sure am glad I did!

Mountain Dog is our go-to local pet store in the High Country! The owner, Cathy, is extremely educated on all things cats & dogs. She offers great product recommendations and even started carrying Nelli’s favorite fetch toy (kurgo stones) once she realized we were looking for the product locally. She has a wide selection of food, treats, toys, medicine, maintenance products and home pet essentials. Plus the shop’s fenced in area is always a bonus to let my dog run around and get out some energy. Don’t drive through Foscoe without stopping at Mountain Dog!

Mountain Dog and Friends is a neat little store that has a nice variety of pet supplies, foods, toys, and treats for both dogs and cats. The lady that operates the store is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She took the time to custom fit our dog with his new harness. I was impressed with the care that she gave our dog!

This place is adorable! We were here a few years ago when we were visiting the area. I had to make I stopped back by when we were in the area again. It's a great little pet supply store that has unique holistic choices for your pets.

Great shop large selection, but if you don't want to spend a lot of money go to Walmart, everything in this store is of the highest quality and will last for years and will be the healthiest alternative you can buy. The owner has a wealth of knowledge of cats and dogs just her advice might save you a lot of anxiety. A must stop for pet owners visiting the area.

Cathy knows more about dogs than most vets! She carries only the best products and cleanest dog food. We always enjoy going into her store on Hwy 105 in Foscoe. Susan Ravenel

Large selection of different pet foods competitively priced, knowledgeable staff(smaller private- owned) collars, leashes, etc. They have a 24 hr pet exercise area which is fenced in.
