Dr Clark was so great with our puppy! She even spent time showing me a couple of simple commands that made all the difference in the world. She explained each step she was taking. I highly recommend Open Door and especially Dr. Clark!

I have only one complaint. I never leave bad reviews, but I am today because my poor pup has to suffer because of this situation regarding communication and clarity with the front desk. I absolutely wont be returning now because of it. After waiting 3 weeks to get an extremely important procedure done for my sick 13 y/o Pup, my appointment was given away because of extremely poor communication on their end. 3 weeks ago I brought my dog here for a check up for the preparation of her procedure. Dr. Clark and assistants were amazing. However, the man at the front desk was very flustered and seemed disorganized. He told me my pups appointment was at 3pm on 11/4 so I wrote it in my calendar. I never got a written slip or email to confirm the date or time and only got a txt message the day before (yesterday) to confirm I was coming in on Nov 4th (with no time listed). I felt fine about it at first because I wrote down the time he had mentioned to me. Well come to find out (today) in their system it was apparently at 8am today, and I got a call at almost 10am (after my supposed appointment time) from the same man only asking me to confirm if I was bringing my dog in (again stating no specific time). I have the voicemail to prove it. So I called back around 10:30am to confirm my 3pm only for another lady to tell me they gave away my appointment to someone else and that I would need to wait another 2-3 weeks for another opening. So in other words it seems like no one will be held accountable for this mess up and my dog has to suffer longer with an extreme infection in her mouth that honestly seems like it could kill her. Side note- I had to take my pup to a different vet last week just to get her antibiotics because she was in such bad shape and I wasn’t able to get into this vet office soon enough. Im extremely disappointed because I liked Dr. Clark a lot. Unfortunately this clinic doesn’t seem reliable to me though if the front desk can’t function properly and ends up putting an actually very sick dog at further risk because of it.

They love your pet! They sit in the floor and interact with your pet so your pet feels safe and has less anxiety.. a huge difference for my loved dog!! They also really listen to what you say and answer your questions until you run out of questions!! My dog doesn't shiver when he goes to the vet visit anymore !

I LOVE THIS VET!!!!!! Dr Bayler is the freaking best, as is all the staff I have ever interacted with here. I've been bringing my 3 dachshunds here for a year and am glad I made the switch. All the vets here have been amazing, but my boys had a bunch of teeth removed and were struggling, but Dr Bayler checked in on them frequently, even on the weekend, to make sure they were okay. The prices here are hard to beat, but the service is so amazing that I won't take my little ones anywhere else. Thank you, Open Door!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this practice! The clinicians and support staff truly care about the work they’re doing and it shows in the way they interact with their patients. They are patient, thorough, and speak to us pet parents in a respectful way. In my experience, the staff have gone out of their way to help us explore treatment options and support us in caring for our kitties.

Best vet visit ever!.. we moved from closer to SC and my daughter's vets were never personable. Dr Schneider was so sweet.. first time I've ever seen a vet sit on the floor and examine an animal on their level. Answered my hundred new puppy mom questions. Vet tech and ladies at the front desk were super friendly to me and my puppy!

Takes awhile to get an appointment. They were not letting people in when we last visited but, they are now. Vet can out to the car and spoke to us & explained what was going on.

As a former RVT, it pains me to write a bad review for Open Door but in the past year, I have experienced a lot of difficulty in scheduling my kitty for a steroid shot for her allergies. No matter how many times I call during operating hours, no one ever answers the phone and when you leave multiple messages, they never call you back. Good luck getting your animal seen here. They must too busy and should stop taking new patients if they can't handle the workload.

Awful experience with my cat. They couldn't get her contained and put in her carrier, so they trapped her underneath a dog bowl!!!! My boyfriend came in to get her and found her like this. I cant believe "trained" staff at a vet couldn't handle a 11lb cat.

Negligent and unprofessional. The morning of my dogs surgery they came to the car and asked if she was up to date on everything, I said I think she is due for something soon but not quite yet. They said they would get her records from our other vet to make sure. They come back and say she is overdue for rabies. Later I found out from animal hospital of north asheville that she got her 3 yr rabies vaccine just last year. The files sent were all glitchy that open door received. They didn't bother contacting ahna to check the illegible records or even mention it to me so I could check. One receptionist later told me they didn't even receive the files until later so they were going off old information from our visit 2 years ago. Front staff was defensive immediately, changing their stories, raised their voices, hung up on me, at one point I said may I please just finish my sentence and "Brandon" said no you may not. I was just trying to figure out what happened and wanted a refund for the shot. They admitted it was their fault, then the next day the manager denied any responsibility and offered only 20 dollars instead of the 22 that the shot cost. I spent 1,070.05 on my dog at this visit and a similar amount 2 years ago, and this supposed manager wanted to haggle over 2 dollars. Also on top of all this the day of surgery they didn't let my dog go to the bathroom after recovery, they put her in my car and didn't mention this to me, so before we even got out of the parking lot she was pooping herself in the backseat. Take your pet elsewhere, these people don't care at all about your animal!

My poor kitty was very very ill. Open door got me in within 24 hrs even though they were booked over a month in advance. They referred me to helpful resources to help with expenses for spey & vet bill. The Dr. was so kind & helpful. & SO AFFORDABLE!!! I'll never go anywhere else & neither should you. We love open door ????
