I’ve been going here almost a year and the service has been slowly going downhill. If your pet is sick they are booked out at least 2 weeks unless you want to call in the morning every day to see if they have a spot- which does not work for me as I need to give my work 24 hours notice. Then they have to ask the vet for a “special” appointment which makes me feel like a huge pain. My strictly indoor cat was 2 weeks late on a rabies vaccine when she developed what I suspected as a respiratory infection, as she has a history of respiratory issues. Again- had to get a “special” appointment to which they informed me when I arrived they would not examine at her until giving her vaccine, which I was hesitant to do if her immune system was compromised. I myself would not get a vaccine if I was sick- but they refused to even examine her without it to determine an infection so I cancelled (wasted time off work since they did not inform me of this until I arrived). The last straw was when I had my other cat cremated and had to call only to find her ashes had been there for a week and no one contacted me. I advised I would be there after work but their phones were out when i got there so no one was responding to my calls. I finally walked in to get her ashes and they were upset I just walked in, even though admitting their phones were out so they had no way of knowing I was there. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that cares.

Imagine our fear when less than 24 hours after adopting our 9 month old boy it was quite evident that he had a condition that required immediate medical remedy. Cedar Ridge quickly scheduled an appointment and Dr. Wagoner quickly provided an accurate, albeit rare, diagnosis. Given the tremendous discomfort and jeopardy of the situation, the entire team jumped in to provide a solution; staff members went above and beyond to explain options, get the procedure scheduled, acquire accurate records and keep us apprised every step of the way. The amazingly skilled Dr. Moncure, with her tenured assistant, successfully performed this life-altering surgery then took the initiative to follow up on their patient. Most everyone in this practice had their hands in this situation and share in its success. If you are looking for a skilled, caring veterinary team to care for your animal, look no further. This practice hits it out of the park!

The Cedar Ridge team is amazing! This is hands down the best vet I've ever used in my 20+ years of being a dog owner. Like literally I don't think I can move away from the area because I don't want to have to leave this vet!

Walter the cat Butler of our home was droopy, not eating or drinking, just not himself. He had been seen his whole life by a certain Vet on Patton Avenue. We called this morning and they could not see him. Cedar Ridge said bring him in. We could not be more pleased with the care he received. This is our three cats new vet.

I drive 30 minutes to Cedar Ridge because they are worth the drive! So compassionate, and really dedicated to solving my pet's problems. ☺️ My oldest dog had a rare skin disease that no other vet could figure out for 2 years. Dr. Hargrove spent her Saturday figuring it out! She even consulted with a human dermatologist friend of hers, on her day off, to diagnose my baby, and called me, all excited, on a Saturday. ???? These folks care.... I highly recommend them! ????????❤️????

I want to give a special shout and thank you to Dr. Sarah Hargrove, Dr. Maggy Moncure and the Technicians at CRAH. Our little kitten boy Sunny was really sick, could not eat or drink and was going downhill fast. The Docs worked hard to diagnose the problem but could find no specific reason for his illness. Dr. Sarah suggested that we take him to get an ultrasound scan performed quickly. CRAH Techs made the arrangements and we hit the road. Low and behold they found a piece of our black foam exercise mat in his intestines! He had swallowed this and it was blocking his gut. They did surgery to remove it, he took about a week to recover, and is back to his loveable bouncy self. Many thanks to everyone at Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital for taking such good care of our kitten boy Sunny!

As a new pet owner to my goldendoodle several years ago, I came to Cedar Ridge as a recommendation from my neighbor. I got to know the office staff well as my mischievous puppy got into a LOT the first year we had him as we frequented the office on what seemed like a rotating basis (that didn't seem to change when we got our second dog!). Over the years the visits got a little less frequent as my boy started to grow up more but the love, care, and amazing manner Cedar Ridge has with their patients never changed. I can't tell you how reassuring it is to go to the vet when your animal actually loves going there! A major thing I have always loved about Cedar Ridge is their honesty and transparency. They will work with owners to make the best decisions for their pets in a non-judgmental, caring manner. Whether we were laughing at what my dogs had gotten into again or they were reassuring me while I was in tears everything was going to be alright after my dog was attacked at a local dog park, I could always count on them which includes even after moving out of town! Cedar Ridge has continued to provide help when needed. I cannot recommend Cedar Ridge enough. They are incredible.

I love the vets and the techs/office staff here. We’ve been taking our older dog to this vet since we moved up to the Asheville area in 2017. We moved to the FAR end of Fletcher and I still take my dog here because I trust the staff to take care of my old boy. It’s worth the drive for the comfort of my dog in my opinion. Dr Moncure and Dr Hargrove are such kind and thorough vets. I highly recommend.

Attentive care for small animals, though really pricey. Docs can be really pushy with treatment options, even if you don't agree. Have chosen a different clinic for my cats.

We've got nothing but praise for the entire staff at Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital! They're all so passionate about what they do, and the animals they care for are always treated as if they are their own. I've never heard a disparaging word from anyone there. They're super talented, knowledgeable, personable, and an excellent value for the care of all of our furry family friends. I can't recommend them highly enough!

The people were so nice. They were fully booked but my guinea pig was sick. I had called every vets office in town that saw guinea pigs and no one could see them. Cedar ridge was so helpful and kind.

From the vets to the techs to the front desk staff, I have enjoyed everyone. Not only do they take loving care of my dog, but they also take care of me by thoroughly explaining procedures and possible outcomes. I started using their services during Covid, which means I have never been in their office, yet somehow, I feel like I know everyone there and that Sallie and I have been visiting them for years. Genuinely welcoming and caring folks. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Dr. Ted Wright is not only the best vet in the area, but the most compassionate one. He went above and beyond for one of our Mini horses. He was right on with the diagnosis. He even took time out of his busy schedule to check on him several times. His office along with him portray such professionalism, courtesy and concern. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. TED WRIGHT.

I was on a job site at 1130 AM on a Saturday and had my dog with me. I found her chewing on a rat poison block (we think she found in some old cabinets from a kitchen demo) and immediately rushed her towards REACH. On my way from Fairview, I decided to swing in her regular veterinarian office to see if they were open (11:53am). They closed at 12, but the entire staff was eager and prepared to help my pup. They all were swift and diligent in their care for my dog in her time of dire need. After over an hour of everyone in the office caring and helping my girl (after office hours!) we were sent home with what we felt like was the best possible care for the situation. The follow up bloodwork and care have also been good services. Overall, I know the staff at cedar ridge helped save my dogs life! I couldn’t be happier with the team there. On another note, her regular checkups/vaccines/etc have always gone smoothly. I recommend this office to everyone in the area.
