My daughter took her sweet dog in because he was sick. Bleeding from rectum and throwing up. They wanted 400. Up front. They could clearly see he was suffering. She did not have 400 until next day. They turned him away and he died that night..Shame on them. And rude.

Very friendly staff. Great insurance plans. Office gets really hot and they seem a bit disorganized. If they don’t work out fixing their hvac, I may end up leaving. I shouldn’t be sweating just sitting there in a chair.

I travel full-time in my RV and was passing through South Dakota for the first time; only to discover that Petsmart stores in SD do NOT carry prescription dog food. I called TLC Pet Hospital to see if they would honor an outside prescription and they said yes! They really went above and beyond for a Yorkie that isn’t their patient, I can only imagine the quality of care they provide for their current patients. I can’t express how grateful I am for their help. Thanks, again!

Caring, kind vet clinic. They saved my cat who was almost dead from low blood sugar. They loved up my cat. They called with updates and sent me pics of how he was doing. The Dr. sat and went through diabetes with me. Educated me on things my previous vet never did.

Dr. Teets was spot on with our dogs diagnosis of Cushings disease. The med she prescribed has helped tremendously. She and her staff are caring professionals. She also did surgery on our little girl and took extremely good care of her. She called immediately when test results came in, we really appreciate her care. We would highly recommend TLC vet in Rapid City, SD.

Called to get cost of services needed, after starting was told price would be almost triple what I was told over the phone. Not a way to run a business, just beware!

Some the sweetest people ever lol. It's pricey but they have wellness plans for discounts. Otherwise,, great service and highly recommended!

Not a great time. Very rude receptionists except for one her name was Taylor. My dog is a very anxious dog that isn’t a people person but has and never will bite somebody. I went there and they were rude from the beginning i was fine with a muzzle, and understand why. Yet when i went to watch because i’m not just going to let my dog go with strangers so as i’m watching a woman comes yelling at me being disrespectful saying i’m not allowed to watch from out the door. As i’m watching i see that they have two leashes on her each side choking her as she’s scared and nervous. No professional training as to try to give her a treat or anything to distract and make her comfortable. Then she got loose and came running outside scared and jumped in my car. NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR BIG ANXIOUS DOGS

The staff here are so amazing! I brought my 2 y/o kitty here with recurring urinary issues and finally got some answers. Dr. Teets asked great questions and the staff showered my kitty with compliments :) If you’re searching for thorough and thoughtful care for your pet, this is the place to go.

I always like taking my pets here for their check up. The staff is amazing, personable and really show your pets great care. The only "downside" is that they can be a bit pricey, however, considering the service, care and overall professionalism, its worth the price. Highly recommend, 10/10, would always visit again!

We are disappointed with not got in a room with a new puppy. We have no idea what kind of exam she does. I feel if they did COVID screening they could let people in the rooms put not the lobby. If they are not going to let people in they should lower the price because they don't need to clean the rooms or lobby.

My pets have always had excellent care from a very warm and caring staff.

I just moved to Rapid a couple months ago and I am so glad I picked TLC Pet Hospital as my new vet. My pup had been dealing with an infection for months prior to moving out here and I didn’t quite get the best care back home. I am so beyond thankful Dr Teets and the techs here cared to get to the bottom of what was going on and she was finally better and infection free shortly after they gave her the right medicine. They truly care about your pets as if they were their own. Dr Teets is super good at going into detail and explaining everything you need to know! All of the techs and assistants are absolutely wonderful but I have to give a special thank you to Carrie as she was beyond amazing with my dog and so nice and you can tell she really cares about the pets that come in. I had to laugh because I learned that dogs paws sometimes smell like Fritos and she had to let me know they all loved my dog because her paws smelt like it a lot which I find hilarious. I can’t say a single bad thing about this place or the people. My dog always goes in and out wagging her tail. Highly recommend this place! Thank you for all you do!!!

Great, friendly staff. Everyone was very patient with Bella. She normally hates the Vet office but TLC took the time to make her comfortable.

Always a delight to see the staff, they’re always friendly and happy to see your animals. They deal with anxious or aggressive pets calmly and reasonably.

Having a parrot it is hard to find a good vet. They handle birds here very well and do an exellent job. Keep up the good work!!!

This place is amazing. They take care of our 90lbs Lab and they were really great helping us take care and say goodbye to our 175lb Saint Bernard. Everybody is so thoughtful and are really good at explaining situations.

The staff are so friendly! They always are so good to our dogs - calling them by name. Dr. Teets is so knowledgeable and has always been so understanding of our concerns with our dogs. It seems like for any concern we voice, she has advice to offer. She is wonderful - as a person and as a vet.

Dr. Teets is our favorite vet! She saved few of our cats! Stuff very helpful and friendly!!!! If you're looking for Vet, this is place to go!

Dr. Teets has been our family doctor for almost 20 years and she has saved the lives of two of our dogs through issues that any other vet would have considered hopeless! We feel she is part of our family; her care, concern, compassion and outstanding skills have made our pet family healthy and happy ,long after their life expectancy. She shows kindness not only to our pets but to the family, as well. She listens, she understands and she heals. Her staff is also outstanding, showing their clients are not just pets but part of a family! I could not recommend Dr. Teets and her entire clinic more highly. Right now we have an adopted beagle with pancreatitis, Cushings Disease, blind and almost deaf. But still she goes on, energetic, playful and a loyal friend. Dr. Teets has prepared us for the inevitable but, every day she wakes up with us is another blessing! Thanks, Christine. The entire Engler Family.

My babies have been going to see Dr. Teets and her staff for years. They are all wonderful and really care about my little ones. Love the time and attention they give each patient makes you feel like a family.

Tlc pet hospital is the best! I know when my dog n I walk through the door he is getting the best care at a great price. They take a personal interest in every animal that walks through the door. Thanks for everything!!

Receptionist didn't acknowledge me for over five minutes. I almost left then, and wish I would've. The assistant was very nice, but launched into an annual wellness contact sales spiel very quickly after we got in the room. The vet suggested I substitute a greenie for my dogs breakfast. (!!!!!!) That's right. After her very brief exam, the assistant said she would prepare a quote for services (teeth cleaning). Almost ten minutes later she returned with a very trumped up quote that included three medications, and costs for extractions. (Front teeth $77, back teeth $177!) The bill was so padded, the gal returned to her spiel on the annual wellness contact, which I had already declined. Couldn't wait to get out of there. After I paid over $48 for the visit.

Good service and friendly. Just a little more on the expensive side.
