Best vet office in the town! I have been going there since they opened & they have always provided great care to my cats, dogs & iguanas. Everyone there really cares about the animals & takes time to pet & love on them.

Poor business practices and customer service. Care/treatment is nominal/satisfactory. They charge you to write scripts for medication you don't buy through them so that any money you save ordering those medications will be null. A scummy business practice for sure. Had I known this policy I would have not bothered having my wife ask for scripts but she ended up paying for it. A few weeks later when it came time to order the meds I selected to have Chewy call them, but they refuse to authorize the script over the phone and Chewy called me at 7pm Monday to tell me I had to mail in the script. I went to the clinic Tuesday afternoon to buy a single dose since I needed to give them to dogs today. I also asked to just be refunded for the scripts since we weren't really saving ourselves anything and now we have the headache of snail mailing scripts. I got a call back today from the 'head receptionist' who informs me that her manager (who should have had the professionalism to make a 2 minute phone call to speak with me directly) said they will not refund the scripts and furthermore they couldn't dispense more medication to us without us returning the printed paper scripts. So the fees were like $30 for the two scripts. We have already spent close to $1000 at this clinic and with our 6 pets likely would have ended up spending much more, which is fine we care about our pets and want them to have the car they need. However this 'policy' is treating us like criminals and scam artists. Maybe some people scalp scripts for flea and tick meds... who knows but, these aren't horse tranquillizers or anything they are parasite prevention meds for 5lb dogs. When I raised this point that they would likely lose my business over this I was told that is my option and they don't really care. So good, cya later bye. update: Mailed out those scripts to chewy and USPS apparently has lost them. Guinard refuses to issue replacements, again because we are assumed to be lying scumbags and they are afraid of liability I suppose? Man how dangerous it would be if someone had a 2 year supply of super dangerous illicit heartworm/flea/tick meds. I might become the next el chapo!

My dogs have been going to this clinic for years. Unfortunately they no longer seem to value their customers anymore and really don’t seem to care for the animals either. Not only have I been spoken to very rudely, the girl refused to let me speak to anyone else and then hung up on me. After calling back I was told I could go to Petco as they sell everything there that the vet could offer as well. So there you have it folks, no need to see the so called doctor there, just go to Petco. Needless to say, I will be finding a new vets office for my baby.

My dog has been a patient at this office for 2 years and I have been very happy with the care that the actual Vet gives for my dog, but not their staff who answer phones and make appointments. Those girls are insensitive and unprofessional. I will not be returning to the practice.

Today my little boy, my baby pig went to have a simple snip and died from their care. My little pigs intestines came out after surgery and the intestines died from being out too long and nothing could be done. Please learn from this and do not take your animal to them.

4 average stars is way too much. 1 for this is way too much. I work as a teacher. My dad dropped my cat off for a neuter surgery this morning, told them I’d probably be in no sooner than 3:30-4, they didn’t indicate having any problem with that. I get here a little later than planned due to a hold up at the post office, but still within their business hours (5:30 PM is closing on Thursdays), and it’s completely closed. No lights, no one here, no signs posted that they’re closed early, no text or call that they would close early and need someone to come pick my cat up, nothing. An hour before they’re supposed to close. I’ve been here for 30 minutes trying to get ahold of someone, I went next door to ask the Feed Store, and I’m at wits end, and anguished at the thought of unnecessarily leaving my stressed and recovering baby there overnight. They’d better hope they at least gave him some food before they got the heck out of dodge, and I sure hope they aren’t expecting me to pay any overnight fees. This is absurd.

My Chihuahuas leg locked up on him and I didn't have a local vet. I called several vets in the area and they all turned me away with far out 1-2 month appointment times. Called Guignard Animal Clinic and they were able to see my dog that same day! Vet assistant and Vetanararian were very nice and helpful in taking care of Pluto. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks!

Guinard Animal Clinic is very good at getting you seen as quickly as possible. They come to your car after you have called and made the appointment. They get your information and you can take your animal in with you or just give your animal to the technician and they take the animal to get the shots they need. I always feel like the doctors really care for my dog.

Absolutely no compassion. Vet who wouldn’t even introduce himself (still have no idea who is was) did nothing but talk over us and honestly tried to guilt trip us because the pet we brought in was sick. Wait was awful, the girls are clueless and really act like they dgaf about being there. We have been taking our pets here for years but over the last 2-3 they have just become one of the worst in Sumter. Price is the only positive thing but at what cost? I mean they scram about COVID precautions but not one person that spoke with us had a mask and wouldn’t distance from us and they don’t tell you COVID protocol. They want you to leave your children in the hot car because of COVID but again, no one was masked or distanced. They are extremely unprofessional now a days. I mean check some of their responses on these reviews. Rude, distasteful, shocking for a business to respond in some of these ways and a actual shame.

They did what they could and sent my wife and Tyrone to the CVET hospital in Columbia . Tyrone our 23 pond Black Cat is recovering from an acute asthma attack. He is doing well. GAC conducted themselves like professionals almost the entire time. Perfection isn't obtainable so 4 stars

Veterinarian is not professional. Each visit he tells a different diagnosis. He doesn’t seem to know what he is doing with your pet. Other personnel are great and friendly. They are what keeps this clinic open. Would not suggest going there!

Took our dobies to have their tails docked and a wellness check on one of the sweet babies who the mom has rejected. The docking went great and I received great advice for caring for my baby girl. I want to acknowledge how amazing Tiara/Tiera (I hope I got her name correct) is! She went above and beyond her duty to ensure that I knew as much as possible for nursing my fur baby. Thanks to her advice she is able to have a temperature of at least 100 and she's eating very well including having gained a few ounces. She gave me her name and informed me that I can contact her if I have any questions and that made me feel very secure as a pet owner with having Guignard Animal Clinic caring for my fur babies! The entire visit went smooth from arrival to departure. Thank you all for your time, dedication, knowledge, and compassion.

Took my near death kitty there and was refused emergency services. Why you ask? Their excuse was covid. Really I think not. They just did not care an animal was dying in front of them. Horrible people work here who hate animals
