I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this veterinarian established VERY VERY FRIENDLY and professional Dr Hudson was great at explaining things and answered all my questions.

A week ago I took my 8 week old black lab puppy to Hudson Veterinary clinic. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE!!! I was in the room and the vet came in and didn't even touch the puppy didn't look at his eyes, ears, teeth, hips, paws, nothing we told him that he was itching alot and he said its flea dandruff. Well I worked at a vet clinic before and when you make an appointment at the vet for new puppy visit the vet is suppose to come and touch the puppy look over him and tell you if the dog as good teeth hip problems anything. He didn't say nothing you actually have to touch the puppy he was very rude. They charged us for exam and he didn't even do a exam. I will not recommend this place to anyone our bill was up to 400 dollars and we got down to 200 something. This place is a joke and the vet said that breeders DONT know what there doing. Well this vet don't know what he is doin he shouldn't have a business. I worked for vet up in Ohio for 10 years. And the vet i worked for actually would put his hands on the dog.all they care about is money what a joke!!!

My fur brother got hurt and they were booked but still got my baby in and helped him I’m thankful they got him in and helped him and showed us how to care for him they are a really good Vet and I’m thankful for them.

Since the very first time I took my Lab to Hudson to get her shots and even spayed they have been very professional, kind,caring and helpful whenever I have questions or concerns about my dog. They will notify me whenever she is due for shots ,wellness checkups or just to let you know that might want to have something check as she gets older. They are very reasonable and I'd definitely recommend them to family and friends for the care of their pets.

I used to take my dog there years ago and now that I'm back I will continue coming there Mitch was amazing ????

Excellent doctors and staff, my boys and girl get loving care!! This is the only place, I will have my fur babies looked at. They are extremely knowledgeable and treat the humans as well as the animals.

This clinic is all about money and not compassion or care. Our family dog has been seen at this Dr for 9 years and now when our dog is at her worse, they are requesting we make an appointment to be seen for medicine she's been prescribed before. We have made the difficult decision to put her to sleep but unfortunately, it'll be a day before that can transpire, and the clinic won't assist in easing the pain of our love one for just one day. Absolutely uncompationate and robotic in response; 'your pet needs to be seen before we can prescribe (ie. We want more of your money).' We've been through surgeries, emergency visits and special diet foods for 9 years for our 13 year old girl and this is the 'help' we get at the end of her life, never again!

The folks at Hudson have a high level of expertise and knowledge. I feel much more comfortable with Hudson than other vets we've tried out for our needy dog.

Dr. Hudson and his staff are really great. You can tell they really care about what they do. My dog is terrified of going to the vet, but this first visit was the calmest I’ve ever seen her. They explained meds and shots to me and put me at ease about an issue she’s having. Definitely recommend them to anyone in the Sumter area with pets.

We rescued our puppy, Elvis, knew very little about how to care for a puppy. He needed critical care and medications. Mitch and Dr. Hudson were so gentle with Elvis and very loving. Mitch was ABSOLUTELY amazing in guiding us how to care for and reassured us that our Elvis was going to be just fine. Elvis is now 6 months old, the little love of my life and thriving. He would not be where his is without the great care from Mitch and Dr. Hudson. Best care around!!! Thank you to the whole team, it shows how much you all truly love animals!!

They take excellent care of my furbaby. I've had my pup for over a year now and I take her there for all her regular checkups.

Would never recommend. Money first customer last. They are just looking for ways to charge you more and you won't know until you are checking out. Terrible customer service.

I had made an appointment two weeks in advance for my pets to get international health certificates, which they said they are able to do. The day of the appointment comes and I finally get an email in response (day of appointment) now all of the sudden, they no longer do them. Next time, tell the truth so we aren't scrambling to get their certificates. The lack of knowledge and communication set us back by months. I am not happy.

Nice friendly place. I just got a puppy and chose Hudson for his care.

AS new patient we were able to be seen next day. All phone interactions were very polite and friendly. In person the staff was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, friendly and warm to be around. Highly recommend.

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Professional experience. Easy to get an appointment. It was super nice to get follow-up calls and text messages checking on my sick baby.

My experience was great and the follow up text to make sure she was OK was very nice. Everyone was so sweet to her and very knowledgeable when I would ask questions. Dr. Hudson was also very nice and assured me of any worries I had. One of the nicest vet offices I've been to in a long time.

We are a military family traveling through Sumter on our way to New Jersey. Our pup must have eaten something bad and he had a massive allergic reaction. The Hudson Vet Clinic MADE time for us and got him in to save his life!!! Then they followed up when our pup needed additional care. They honestly did their best to save me money as well. I'm impressed with their customer service and how much they genuinely cared about our puppy and situation. They literally saves my dogs life and saved us money when they knew we probably would have forked over a lot more and not even thought about it. I can't express how grateful I am to them. Thanks again Dr. Hudson, Mitch, and the whole clinic!

We are a military family that just arrived in Sumter. We found an emaciated cat while at a dog park. After calling them, we brought the cat to the Hudson Veterinary Hospital. We explained that it was a stray cat that we would be turning into the SPCA. Hudson immediately brought us a bill for just under $700 with full blood panels, tests, vaccines, 6 month treatments, etc. We explained again that this was a stray and we only wanted to attend to his urgent care, nothing extra. They returned with a different bill for about $600. They had removed the procedures we asked them to but then added several additional ones. We explained our situation a 3rd time and finally got the bill to less than $400. After we paid this, they then charged us about $200 for extras like flea meds, worm meds, $30 ointment, rabies vaccine, and neutering. They said we had no choice by law, but to have these addon procedures accomplished. We then gave the cat to the SPCA a few hours later after spending $555 on him. And after all that they returned the cat to us in filthy condition, sitting in feces and urine. I have never experienced such aggressive upselling and bill padding. This is a money hungry, greedy, highly unethical company. After speaking with local animal owners and the SPCA, I learned that Hudson Veterinary Hospital is known for upselling unnecessary procedures and pushing expensive products. At least the cat will live and hopefully be adopted soon.

Absolute garbage. Don't set an appointment time and then not come out to see your client over 90 minutes later. Appointment times only work when both parties meet their obligations. Your clients commit their time to be here and often have to make arrangements to be here at the prescribed time (like using paid time off). You should stand up to your commitments as well. Unacceptable...

We had our 6 month old puppy spayed. They were awesome. The called us to keep us updated on her serval times. I would definitely recommend Hudson Veterinary the staff was great ???? Thank you.

Honestly don’t go here unless ur willing to spend 3-4 hours at the vet. On average I spend anywhere from 1- 1.5 hours waiting for them to even come to my car and see my cat. Charged me $25 for 4 cans of special cat food and told me to come back when I needed to buy more, I went to pet smart and got 24 cans of the same food for $50. I later found out that my cat didn’t even need this cat food because she didn’t have the disease they told me she had. When I went here I would literally watch a full movie before I was seen, and I rarely go there without spending at least $400. The building clean and the staff is friendly you can tell they care for animals, but I don’t think I will be coming back.
