The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. My dog Shelby and Nola love going there. We've been patients for over 5 yrs. The doctors really care.

Paid out $216.00 for my cat's allergies Never recieved a call back after leaving 3 messages. Will have to take my cat to another vet that cares.

Short and sweet...we, Jake (my 13 year old Chi), and I LOVE this place!! From those that answer the phone to those that check you in to the Techs in the back to, of course, the vets!!

They are extremely unprofessional and offensive on how she handled my dog. My dog was uneasy around Jessica Cantrell from the moment he saw her. She is ignorant in her practices and did not release my dog when demanded since she was forcefully holding my dog down in a way that had him traumatized. They deserve zero stars and this place has been trending down over the last few years. I WILL NOT be returning and I highly encourage those who love their animals to not take them here. I cannot stress enough how terrible this place is.

After being a client for over 16 years, and taking all of our families dogs to them, spending thousands of dollars in visits, lab work, teeth cleaning and surgeries, the vet that knows our elderly dog the best, Dr Jessica Cantrell refused to see my dog yesterday. I booked the appointment a week ago and specifically ask for Dr. Cantrell. Unfortunately our youngest daughter is disabled and very ill. I even told the receptionist that we had to get our dog, Mollie in as soon as possible because we had to take our Daughter back to Chapel Hill next week for surgery. Mollie is 14, has a heart murmur and chronic pancreatitis, and a history of melanoma. I waited 40 minutes with only one other German Shepard in the lobby. When the tech called me back and we started talking about Mollie seeing Dr. Cantrell, the vet tech abruptly told me Mollie was seeing a new vet. I told her that I had absolutely made the appointment with Dr. Cantrell. The Vet tech said” well that is not my fault!” I agreed with her, but tried to explain to her that Mollie was really complicated and it would take hours for a new vet to understand our dog. I ask her to please explain to Dr. Cantrell that our daughter was having surgery in NC next week. She left the room twice for over 15 minutes and still came back and said that Dr. Cantrell said she was too busy to see her. With all the back and forth conversation, Dr. Cantrell could have already seen Mollie. So I had to get someone to stay with our daughter. Driving time is over a hour total and wait time is over an hour to not be seen by the Dr. I made the appointment with. I told the Tech very firmly that I was a retired RN of 45 years and everyday of my career I saw additional patients that had problems and we already had a full schedule. Dr. Cantrell knows full well the health problems of our daughter and as a professional Vet, she should have made the decision that it was their receptionist fault, not mine, and seen our dog. So I lost several hours of taking care of our daughter on Thursday and again on Friday, because thank God I found an excellent Veterinarian that added me onto a Friday schedule and it was a 180 difference in Mollie’s care and their compassion for our daughter and families situation. Not to mention the cost was much more reasonable. ........THIS IS AN ADDENDUM TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW....... To the owner of VCA Westburies Veterinary Hospital, It will not be necessary for me to privately e-mail you per your request. Exactly 12 days after Dr. Jessica Cantrell refused to see our precious Mollie for her scheduled appointment, a place where Mollie has been coming to for her entire 14 years of life, she died of metastatic intestinal cancer. We are so thankful that a competent and compassionate Veterinarian fit her into her already booked Friday schedule and through her excellent expertise was able to diagnos the cancer. This Veterinarian and her compassionate staff helped our family through this shocking diagnosis and her loss. No one can imagine how devastated our disabled and very ill daughter is over the loss of her fur baby and constant companion. Unfortunately, yet again, we are reminded that you can not teach "COMPASSION."

Worst experience I’ve personally had at a veterinary service. Very abusive to animals and worst customer service. Will not be returning. ZERO STARS HANDS DOWN. Do not let Dr. Jessica Cantrell handle your babies.

Excellent first time doctor visit with Miracle. First set of shots complete. Excellent friendly staff in and out, they safely Pick Your Pet Up When you call them as you pull up for your appointment. And deliver your pet back to your vehicle for you. Excellent price also highly recommend

I had not been to Westbury for a while for many reasons but recently I met Dr G and loved her. She really cares for the animals and is very thorough. She took the time to explain things to me and gaves me options that do not break the bank and are still in the best interest of my pets. Thank you!!

Don't go here.....they couldn't care any less for your pets....all they want is your money! It has taken 4 years for us to finally wake up and realize Westbury is a scam operation. Don't go!!!

Dr. Austin is just wonderful and caring. Very professional and puts the pets need above and beyond expectations. Mildred at the front desk is a pleasure to deal with as well. My pets have always left their vet experience as happy and well cared for! Thank you Dr. Austin, Mildred, and the great staff of Westbury!!

We used this vet when I was a child, and we continue to use them 38 years later. The dog and the cat love the staff and the veterinarians. It's always clean and you can tell they genuinely love animals, even when they throw up everywhere but the puppy pad!

I've been going to Westbury for several years, I love all the Veterinarian's, and I trust them with my fur babies. They might be a bit higher priced but they take Care Credit and that is what I usually use for payment.

I have been taking my dogs here for over 10 years through 2 dogs! Today I needed help because my dog was limping and was in pain. They told me that it would be 2 weeks and there was no way they could work me in! This is totally Unacceptable and very disappointing! They lost a customer today!!

We really haven't been 100% satisfied with Westbury since it has been under the ownership of VCA. Due to the proximity to our home and considering we only need appts twice a year we didn't bother looking for a new vet until today. Our dog has been a patient with Westbury just shy of 10 years. Today we had an appt. (on a Friday at 4:45) waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes to be told "unfortunately" we don't have a room ready and we are finishing up and should have one soon. (unable to provide estimated time of soon) We had a emergency and we aren't really set up for emergencies.(there is a 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital 2.8 miles away and they should have been told to take their pet their instead of taking up the time of people with appts.) I asked to reschedule for the next day as I didn't want to wait or be rushed considering they were closing at 6pm. "Unfortunately" there are no openings for tomorrow. Westbury was able to take in an "emergency" today but was unable to accommodate us by squeezing us in for the following day. "Unfortunately" now I will find another veterinarian considering they are not respectful of our time or as a long time client.

They took such good care of my older, mostly dead pup. He needed extensive emergency dental work and they were phenomenal with him. Thank you doesn't seem good enough!
