I am so thankful I found Charleston Heights!! Staff is responsive and extremely personable. Dr. Garrett is honestly the kindest soul, and genuinely loves all animals. My sweet Bartholomew was welcomed with open arms and has been treated graciously and with the upmost care. Cost is always upfront and never any hidden fees. Treatment and procedures are discussed at length and very informative.

My dog was a patient here until I requested a written prescription for his Nexgard flea treatment. They said it was against their policy to provide this. After reminding them that this is illegal, they agreed. They required a liability waiver in case the medication not purchased from them has effects. Our goal was to purchase the exact same medication from Costco at almost half the price. Costco is reputable so I agreed. Later, when picking up the prescription the liability waiver included “in case of negligence you release us”. Of course we mentioned we weren’t comfortable and asked for the wording to be updated to apply specifically to the purchase of medication sold elsewhere. Instead, they told us we were no longer clients. How many uninformed clients are they illegally refusing to write prescriptions for? Or using this opportunity to demand to be released from liability in case they are negligent. Not where you want to trust your pet to.

Great experience! We are new patients and they were able to get us in pretty quickly for a wellness exam and to check out a possible UTI issue (prior to calling them I had contacted 2 other vet offices in the area that couldn’t accommodate for a potentially urgent issue). Samantha, Roberta and Dr Garrett were all warm professional and personable too! Dr Benton even popped in to share her experience of switching over to a robotic litter box as I mentioned being interested in possibly changing over-I thought that was really sweet. They were all really gentle with my fairly stressed out cats and they really made an effort to not put them through anything that would create more distress-they let them stay in the carrier for the exam as much as possible. Bonus: the pricing was really quite reasonable for the top notch thorough care we received today. So happy to have found them! Thank y’all so much!! Update: Dr Garrett called and wanted to do a follow up on my cats after they were both treated for a possible UTI. She had felt a lump under the skin of one of my cats and wanted to check to see if it has dissipated and also wanted to recheck my other cat just as a precaution. The lump she felt appeared to be a cyst but she extracted some fluid to examine it and then confirmed using a stain. She is recommending that we remove it and since it is not urgent she suggested that we just plan to do it at the same time that we schedule to have their teeth cleaned since he will already be under anesthesia. She did not charge me for this (extremely thorough) follow up visit that included testing…and as I kept thanking her, she kept thanking ME for bringing them back in so that she could re-examine them. Although it is so unfortunate that this kind of genuine care & consideration is such a rarity these days, I am so, SO grateful that I have found a vet office that provides this kind of phenomenal care! Don’t hesitate to bring your fur babies here! I brought mine here based on the reviews that I read and the outstanding experiences others have shared have become my experience!

Dr Benton and Dr Garrett has been our vet. for every pet we've owned for the last 23 years. She is knowledgeable, caring, and takes time to listen to concerns. She has cared for my pets as if they were her own. The staff is courteous and professional. I highly recommend her office to anyone who is looking for an Excellent veterinarian.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this veterinary clinic is. The doctors and the staff are so genuine and they truly care about my pets. They are knowledgeable, affordable and passionate about what they do. It’s definitely worth the drive from Summerville, because piece of mind is priceless. Also, unlike other vet clinics can be they do not judge you if you are a helicopter pet parent like myself. Thank you CHVC!!!!!!!

Friendly staff, car service, they come to your car pick up your pet , take pet inside, do checkup, take card information over the phone, and bring pet back to your car. Also, they have laser surgery for neutering pets and declawing cats.

Fantastic first experience. Very professional, thorough and affordable. Bed side manner was top notch and the staff and veterinarian did an excellent job of explaining everything and keeping you involved every step of the way. We have found our permanent vet and couldn't be more happy.

We are from out or town, and my dog got tore up by ants. I searched for a good quality vet to see him and Dr. Benton and Angela took amazing care of him. Regarding covid and being booked they got him in and was done within 30 mins. Dr. Benton was extremely nice and carrying for my dog, even though he doesn't come here regularly. Hands down one of the best vets we've been to. Thanks so much for taking care of my baby! You all rock!

Compassionate, friendly and understanding.

I have been taking my pets to Charleston Heights Veterinary Clinic for more than 12 years. I have 3 dogs that I love. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! They have treated me and my pets with the utmost care. They truly care for my pets and have always have been amazing. Their costs are fair and much cheaper than other vets I have been to in Charleston. I highly recommend them to all my friends and coworkers.

They have taken such amazing care of my cat. I called early on a Saturday morning because I noticed signs of a UTI. They made room for her immediately so that she wouldn't have to go the whole weekend waiting for treatment. Everyone there is very friendly and make my cat feel at ease. I highly recommend!

I rescued a 10 year old Jack Russell mix with some health issues in July, 2019 and selected Charleston Heights Vet Clinic because it was just a few miles from home and the rescue group said they were a great clinic. They were right. Everyone is friendly and patient with me, answering my many questions, and searching the best options for treatment. They are very loving toward my girl, and treat her as though she's the only patient they have. Just a wonderful group of ladies to deal with and I'm so glad I chose this clinic.

Dr. Benton gave our dog a thorough inspection before giving us the surgery options for our dog's problem. One of the options included sending us to a specialist. The next day, on her day off, she called to tell us that she had discovered a $125 coupon for us to use at the specialty surgeon's office and she even delivered the coupon to that other office. After consulting with the specialist, we decided we wanted Dr. Benton to do the surgeries. She gave him another pre-surgery exam the morning of the surgery and asked to remove a growth that we had not noticed before. The surgery went beautifully and our sweet pet is resting comfortably at home to heal. We are so very thankful for how thorough and caring Dr. Benton and Dr. Garrett are. They make us feel like our pet is a member of their own families.

I was ver disappointed in the service I received I took my took my sick puppy in to be treat paid my bill I left him there for 2 hours he was walking and eating when we went there but when we return home my pup couldn’t walk he died 10-15 min later after leaving this vet I’m convinced that he was put to sleep...

Dr. Katherine and her staff are wonderful! They always spend extra time answering all of my questions so patiently, and are so caring and attentive. Thankful we found this clinic!

First time patient here today. My cat was seen quickly and well taken care of. I'm grateful that there is a wonderful vet close to my house!

We just arrived in North Charleston today and I just realized I left my dog Maxie Heartgard pills at home in Atlanta. She need her pill today, especially since we want be returning home until Thursday. So I googled the near by Vet, this place came up. Boy I'm glad they were open on President's day, they were nice, understanding, and accommodating. Anne (I think) called my doctor's office in Atlanta to make sure they could give my dog another brand because they didn't carry the one I needed. She called me back less than a minute and said my Vet gave them the OK. When we arrived they had the pill ready and she was nice. The bulldog artwork is beautiful, also.

I can't say enough good things about this office...I refer everyone to Dr. Benton... DR. Benton , Roberta and the rest of the staff are wonderful, friendly and so accommodating each and every time I go in. I refer all of my friends and all of them have thanked me over and over again for suggesting them! Dr. Benton does only necessary things and is very conscience of cost and will do what she can to help you and your pet!
