I understand that this place is busy, but my dog ate a dog bone and they brought back a 700 dollar list with a bunch of things not related to x-rays after a 3 hour wait. This is definitely a place you should only go in an emergency. Kind people though!

They gave our Angel the best care they could but I sure do wish there was 24hour hospital open all the time so he wouldn't have had to go through being transferred.. I gave 4 stars for the care they gave him. They were very expensive as is our primary vet. So do vets just let your pet die when you run out of funds?

Waited 4 hours in the car. Called to check on why they have never came to even check on the cat. Said I had to wait my turn, there are 8 people in front of you. They made us set in the car, never came to check on our cat. I asked if they could to get it some medication while waiting, laughed in my face. This is the only place open on a Sunday in 2 counties. I honestly couldn’t believe that they were doing this to these animals. I spoke with multiple others who had been waiting 4 hours before me. I wonder how many animals have died in the parking lot there?

First of all I should’ve known when I met the doctor last night, my dog Got into a bag of chocolates and some random stuff under the tree accidents happen right, the doctor didn’t feel like going through his puke we weren’t sure what was in it and he just told us to wait it out because he didn’t feel like looking through it he saw a couple chocolate wrapper so we got most of it we were concerned because of stuff I was on the floor when I called back today because the paperwork said if she doesn’t get better and I quote please bring her back immediately, after getting hung up on and saying I need a taxi report because of batteries that wasn’t even what she was being treated for we weren’t sure so you’re telling me I have to call and pay $60 when the receptionist or whoever she was also hung up on us twice use the words battery ingestion, I wouldn’t just make that up I called my vet and they told me the same thing and they also have the paperwork so we took our dog and we’re trying to tell this lady who wasn’t there last night which I apologize I asked her first were you there when I talk to you last night she responded no, so I apologize I was trying to tellll her what was told to me and she kept interrupting and then they refuse service, my own vet told me not to go there do not take

Felt like it was all about money. We arrived at 7pm, with no blood work being done or anything else for that matter, they brought out an estimate of over 2k and said our dog HAD to stay 24hrs and HAD to have fluids. Once we said we couldn’t do that they told us they’d draw her blood then. So after an hour wait we had no labs drawn yet an estimate for all sorts of things they supposedly needed to do. they overheard me tell my husband what we had in savings and they continually mentioned “our budget”. I am a nurse and fully understand the meds and tests they wanted to do. An hour later they had labs back and tried to convince us she once again HAD to stay. One lab value was slightly elevated and the doctor said again “well this is your budget so what if we just don’t do repeat labs” soooo how do you know if anything has improved? He said he’d recommend IV fluid and a stay even if her lab value wasn’t elevated. I told him absolutely not, this is something I can monitor at home and I’d like the medications to go home with please. I was then called a third time telling me she should stay overnight. When I repeated that I just wanted her meds she went through the list and told me the doc said I still wanted a certain med though he and I never talked about what he planned to give her. Thankfully I knew it was something unrelated to our dogs situation. And declined (the woman confirmed it was not a needed med and for something Else when I asked) we spent over 4hrs in the parking lot for them to do a set of labs and to try and convince us we needed to spend more money. I felt like I was being pushed into doing what I was being told and I fear for those that just want their pets better and get screwed over and price gouged.

Great experience each visit, but our visit to the new McAllister in Conway, SC, don't seem to be too familiar with their Chipotle salad dressing. They gave me the wrong thing twice. Otherwise, the food and service is generally very good.

Based on my personal experience with this place. I would have to rate their services at an 8 - 10 Now, how effective their services are that you seek to be rendered are will be based on your situation. Because everyone's is different. In My situation, I would have to rate their overall effectiveness given my specific situation about a 5 out of 10. The staff where somewhat friendly but may have bin a bit more detailed when asked certain questions. As I've aged, I'm comming to realize that Having pets isn't always an easy task. Like anything, you have to give in some areas like your pocket, more then others, like your heart. It's easy to love your animal, but reaching deep down in your pockets for $2000 just for a quick and painless ct scan from this place is a bit out of control. I'm willing to answer any conjuring and relative questions about my trip to the animal emergency hospital of the strand

If money is of no matter than it is a good place to go. If you don't have the money than you may as well prepare for your child to be sent home to die. They want to know you have the money before they do what they should do to your child if it is a serious issue. I don't understand how NO vets are willing to work with people who don't have millions available??? They are choosing which animals to save and which to send home and possibly die.

Came over at 11pm with kitten’s tummy being slightly bloated and having contraption as reaction to a vaccine. We’ve waited over an hour to do paper work, kitten was taken inside without much care. Said that doctor will call us. When doctor called I regretted coming over to them. One of the doctors doesn’t even know the difference between regular hairy cat’s and Sphynx’s body temperature. Tried to put our 4 month old Sphynx on THREE different IV’s and keep him over the night for bunch of tests and work “because he is running fever and definitely has an infection”. Tried to tell us that he has FIP even though we stated that cat has reaction to a vaccine, since he is NOT running any other symptoms. Widely known fact that Sphynx cat’s NORMAL temperature is 4 degrees higher, yet doctor won’t listen. Had to call our breeder to confirm it for them. I refused to do anything, asked for Laxatives. Had to wait another 40 minutes for kitten to be ready for a pick up for whatever reason. Cat was brought out in his carrier like he was thrown there like a toy, again, without any care. Have stated that we don’t want do tests and keep him overnight “because it’s money issue for us”. Paid $110 for typical lax that can be bought for $13 on Amazon and “emergency tests”, whatever that means, even though they checked his temp and touched belly couple of times probably. I haven’t seen such carelessness, unprofessionalism and lack of necessary knowledge in all my years owning animals. Outrageous service and absolutely terrible doctors.

The care and attention at arrival was excellent, the doctor and registration nurses. The discharge was ridiculous! It felt like my dog was rushed out with no empty to her or myself as owner. She received stitches as such was sedated; I was given no care details just handed my dog like a transaction. My dog was still drooling all over her cone and lost her bowl in the car. She was still very much out of it, not a “little” drowsy!!!!

Good service, quality experience for our cat. Prices were higher, but it is an ER facility. To be expected.

It's great to have near in case of need. They need rethink there PRICES. BASICALLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE IN A TIME OF NEED JUST BECAUSE THEY KNOW PEOPLE WILL DO ANYTHING FOR THEIR PETS.

I had to have my cat euthanized and the way it was done, I got to spend as long as I wanted with him, he was even purring and he went so peaceful in my arms. The price was very reasonable compared to the other 24 hour vet in Myrtle Beach who wasn't even there last night.

Initial diagnosis fee is reasonable and I left there knowing If I have another emergency, I will bring my pets back there.

Brought my animal in for a simple procedure was not allowed to stay with the animal or view the procedure or understood the procedure was ever given properly although I was allowed to go and without a mast to pay the bill interesting. My dog was so traumatized by the experience without me there he is still not well

Not an emergency hospital. Waited over a hour after filling out paperwork. My cat has blood when he urinates and is in much pain. After a hour and a half waiting in my car i called the office line because due to covid no one is allowed in the office. She informed me that there were 6 animals to be seen before my cat. No one told me the wait would be this long. The staff told me that there was only one doctor working after I called the office again to ask how long before my cat could be seen. I left after that and pray my cat will be ok until I can see my vet on Monday. If you have a true emergency I would avoid this animal hospital at all cost!!!!
