This is a gem of a practice! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and Dr. Bostian offers top notch care. I wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else! We drive from Summerville just to see Dr. Bostian!

I have been a customer of Tidewater since moving here 10 years ago. I have loved Dr. Daniel, Dr. Smith and now Dr. Bostian! They have helped me care for and ultimately say goodbye to three loyal dogs and now are caring for my current dog. I couldn’t ask for better care! The entire staff is fantastic and I know we are in good hands with everyone there!

I took my kitten to Tidewater to be neutered and he died. I believe they gave him too much sedation and then waited too long to contact me and transfer him to a critical care facility.

Took my pup there for a visit. Dr B was very sweet and knowledgeable and helped my pup with his cold. My boy is back to normal after some good antibiotics and cough medication. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I will definitely be returning and will be recommending Dr B to everyone that I know. Thanks Dr B……. And Cody thanks you as well!

The entire team is what makes Tidewater special and a place where my dog literally squeals when she enters. The team is flexible, empathetic, and I have confidence they deliver the very best care.

A good vet, sometimes a little pushy for extra services. Friendly.

I was told my dog's medication would not be renewed until she was up to date on her vaccinations. This happened every year and required us to get them all even when not needed. My dog doesn't get out much nor socializes with other dogs, yet I was told kennel cough was needed. I switched to another vet who recommended certain vaccines, but did not push them. Felt like I was always feeding them money for my dog that was perfectly healthy.

We needed a vet for our cat when we moved to Mt Pleasant. Two visits now. And the experience was great.

My very small dog was given too strong a med, which made her very sick, caused urgent care visit on weekend. Not returning.

Have been a loyal patient to them since we moved to SC. We went out of town and had our friends in Atlanta watching our pup, I forgot to get his heart worm and flea medication for him so I called 1800 petmeds just to get the mess to our friends house for that month so our dog wouldn’t have to risk getting fleas or make our friends take him to a vet. Tidewater would not approve the medication, said “technically” our dog isn’t their patient anymore because it had been so many months since he had a check up. I go in there every month, pick up and PAY for his medication and never once heard that he needed a check up but now that they aren’t benefiting from our money, they aren’t his vet. I’m highly disappointed with tidewater. I called and explained that this had nothing to do with them. It was an emergency, I called 2 times to check up on the status, was put on hold for 15 minutes and then Jill the receptionist tries to sale me on making my dog a follow up appointment when we get back from our trip. Umm no thanks. I’ll take my business Somewhere where it is appreciated.

We have known Dr. Cara Daniel for over 4 years. Dr. Daniel and her full staff at Tidewater are absolutely fantastic. They are always kind, caring, accommodating and very knowledgeable. We have never had any problems with getting appointments and are very reasonably priced. Absolutely love the laser & acupuncture treatments. Thank you Dr. Daniel and all of Tidewater for taking such good care of our family!

My dog is extremely sick. She needs antibiotics. She is limping and not eating. Her paw is swollen to twice its size. I called to make an appointment for an emergency visit and they said they couldn't see my dog for FOUR days! She will be dead by then. This, after I have paid them thousands of dollars to maintain my two dogs. The only thing they said they could do was have me drop her off in the morning and have her stay there, alone, until Monday when they could look at her. Really? She's a two year old very healthy Jack Russell. Who are these people? This is the most expensive vet I have ever been to, and they can't even find five minutes to see an emergency patient? I will never go back. If my dog dies while I try to find the attention for her that I thought I had, then there will be consequences.

I took my three pets (2 dogs, 1 cat) to be checked for ringworm—and specifically stated the purpose of my appointment at the time of booking. All pets were analyzed and 1 of the dogs had a suspicious legion that vet wanted to test further before administering meds. However, in order to do so, I was told that I would need to leave, purchase a cheap toothbrush and return with the toothbrush and dog so the vet could brush a sample of the area and then submit the toothbrush for lab testing. Since I didn’t have time for the aforementioned errand (and didn’t think it appropriate in the first place) the vet then said she would go to the drugstore and purchase a toothbrush for me, but I would need to wait an additional 20 minutes. When I again expressed my surprise / frustration with the process the vet informed me that ringworm is very rare and that’s why they don’t have the supplies in the office to test for it. Needless to say, I will never return to this clinic and would advise avoiding it if you want a professional veterinary experience.

I was very disappointed with this clinic. I have dealt with many veterinarians in my life and this is the first time I felt an animal doctor was more concerned about money than the welfare of the animal. I contacted a friend who is a teaching veterinarian at a major university about my pets treatment and he was very concerned about the integrity of this clinic. He said it sounds like they are lying to you. There are to many good vets around to take a chance with an iffy one. Keep looking, don't stop here.

Dr. Daniel and her staff are always so kind and welcoming. I love how easy is to get an appointment and the prices are not outrageous. The office is also quite nice and conveniently located.
