Overall, AMAZING experience! Dr. Sauls and her team were very thorough, kind, and informative. They spent over 2 hours for our new puppy exam, taking great care of Doolin. We never felt rushed and all questions were answered. Felt like they were caring for one of their own fur-baby’s. Doolin did great and we would recommend this office to anyone. Thank you!

What an amazing veterinary practice! Dr. Marcy Sauls, DVM, totally devoted herself to us and our 16 and a half year old German Short-haired Pointer Riley. We brought him in thinking we were going to have to put him down today and through much careful consideration and her knowledge, our dog will have some more time with us and our family. Dr. Saul spent over 2 1/2 hours with us and the explanations she gave were better and more thorough than we’ve ever experienced for any of our pets at any vet clinic. We would highly recommend Dr. Sauls and all of the team at East Cooper Animal Hospital for all of your veterinary needs.

I will never be able to thank Dr. Sauls enough for her compassion and help with our fur baby. It was a very difficult day for us and you helped tremendously.

The staff at East Cooper are amazing! They have taken care of our Great Dane since he was a pup, and I wouldn’t take him anywhere else

I have a two year old rescue dog that is afraid of his shadow. Dr. Sauls and her staff are so kind and patient with him. They always make him comfortable and take extra time out of their day to make sure he isn't scared or spooked. I drive 2 hours to come to Dr. Sauls and it is well worth it!

We recently transitioned to East Cooper Animal Hospital and meeting Dr. Marci Sauls & her team could not have come at a better time. Our 18yr pup (Cici) was having complications earlier this January and we were beyond amazed at the care & heartfelt compassion Dr. Sauls gave our pup as she nursed her back to health. Unfortunately this past weekend new natural complications surfaced, which were heartbreakingly terminal and while we are still grieving the passing of our beloved little pup, words cannot explain how wonderful Dr. Sauls' care & support was. She certainly went miles above and beyond her duties to comfort us during these most difficult times. Thank you for all of your support & warm care of our little Cici, you are an amazing person and we are so thankful to have found you when we did. Sincerely & ever-grateful, Thomas, Jessi & Cici :)

My dog is very anxious around other people, but he's always been well behaved at East Cooper Animal Hospital, which says a lot for the people who work there. Additionally, Dr. Sauls spent hours discussing my dog's behavior with me, recommending different treatments until we found something that worked. I can't thank her enough for that, but I can recommend East Cooper Animal Hospital to anyone in Mount Pleasant looking for a veterinarian.

We have 3 dogs, 2 of which are already patients here. One of them had several teeth pulled least week and was having a rough night the day of the extractions. Dr. Saul's contacted us way past business hours that night to see how she was doing and made some suggestions on how to get some medicine in her to make her more comfortable. Worked great! The entire staff is great and I've already had them transfer over furry kid #3's paperwork from the previous vet!

I started coming to East Cooper Animal hospital back when it was George’s Veterinary Clinic and met Dr. Sauls. I have to say she is a phenomenal veterinarian who truly cares about the animals she treats so well. She took great care of a cat I had and definitely proved that although running a busy practice, Dr. Sauls found time to thoroughly research any conditions or treatments related to the pet. Thank you! Unfortunately it seems like something changed over the last few years and when I inquired about a simple procedure that other clinics were able to easily provide a price, East Cooper Animal Hospital made it sound like a big secret and said they would have to email me an estimate of charges after a few days while the Vet measures out the amount of anesthesia and other services related to a procedure that some places literally charge about 70 bucks per pet. I don’t know why a great vet became so complicated and secretive about costs for procedures performed on their patients, especially when it comes to returning clientele.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here since we got our pup in February. They took awesome care of us until today. Yesterday we took her to get heart worm tested and the heart worm vaccine. Afterwards, they told us to watch for vomiting, swelling, lethargic, etc and to bring her in if this happened. This morning I woke up to my dog throwing up. I called the vet and told them what was going on, and they told me that she couldn’t possibly be throwing up from the shot. After they told me to watch out for that. They suggested we just watch her and check all her toys to make sure she hadn’t eaten any of them when there was no way she had touched any of them, as I have been monitoring her closely since yesterday evening. I will NOT be returning here.

I don't write a lot of reviews, I have to have a real conviction for something to actually express that in writing. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service and staff at ECAH. Everyone, from the girls at the front desk to the …

In the past, it was a nice place to visit with our cat. But our recent attempt to see a vet did not go well. We had to wait in the reception area for 20 min because there was no room available for our cat. Obviously the sign of sloppy scheduling. While we were waiting, the receptionist was busy talking to other visitors and personnel, did not bother to check on the room. We’ve got her attention only when we decided to leave. Sad, we really like the vet.

Look no further! Dr. Sauls is the most knowledgeable, patient, and sincerely kind doctor. She loves her patients and is a joy to interact with. My dog is a very hyperactive and nervous pup at the doctor. I know pet parents can relate to how …

Best vet in Mount Pleasant!!! Whether it is for a routine visit or an emergency, they are terrific. We would not think about going anywhere else. They have helped us through a loss of a pet, surgeries and all our check ups. The customer service is way above expectation. They treat you and your pet pet like family, you could not ask for more.

After being with this vet for some time we decided to take our business elsewhere. When we need something simple for our dogs such as flea or tick, it requires a visit and a guilt trip into a $250-$400 bill. I have spent 4 hours in that building running countless expensive tests on my healthy dogs just to get flea medicine. The kicker for us was that we wanted to take our Brittany for a grooming to get ready for Christmas and would be boarding her soon as well. We simply needed a copy of her rabies certificate. I stopped by in person on 12/14 and the receptionist claimed that since her rabies shot had not been performed at East Cooper they could not provide me with a copy and that it was expired anyway. All of her records had been faxed over from our previous vet so I found it hard to believe that they wouldn't have something so relevant to my dogs health record on file but somehow “knew” it was expired. After about 30 minutes of back and forth she was able to “find” the faxed over copy, only after I was guilted into setting an appointment for my dogs to come in the following week. To my surprise when she provided me with the certificate I found that her rabies were not actually expired. In addition to her rabies certificate I was provided with an itemized list of things that had to be done at her appointment including heart worm re-tests and blood work being redone, the receptionist claimed that we would be unable to get preventative medicine for heart worm if she did not get retested. She had already had all this work done and tested negative in May! The quote before surprises and add ons came to over 200$ which in our experience always translates to $400+. I called another vet to ask if they are taking on clients and thank God they were. They had everything faxed over from East Cooper and they told me that these tests are only required once a year and its not necessary to “re-test” multiple times per year for heart worm and they could see no reason why our vet would deny us preventative care for our pets based on the records that were faxed over. You can't have anything done by East Cooper unless you agree to an extremely in depth and costly visit. The other vet told me that for the things I need including rabies when the time comes will cost around 80$ total out the door. UNBELIEVABLE.

We have been bringing our dogs to Dr. Saul and her staff for a couple of years now. Everyone there is GENUINELY caring and attentive to both human and pet needs/concerns. They have always assessed , diagnosed and resolved any issues our pets have had very quickly. We are here to stay :-)

The Doctors and rest of the staff are AMAZING! They are so good with my little "squish face". You know you have a great vet's office when your dog is uncontrollably excited when she realizes where she's going. I'd give ECAH 100 Stars if I could!

Great doctors and staff. Everyone here is wonderful with my cat and with me. They even gave me ointment and gauze to clean up the scratches I got trying to get the cat in her carrier at home, to get her to their office... very kind and thoughtful people. And they are very reasonable when it comes to helping me understand and decide what my cat does and does not need. I'd recommend them to everyone who has a pet they love...

My family has utilized the services of East Cooper Animal Hospital since it opened. Dr. Sauls and her team have taken incredible care of my animals, a cat and a senior dog. They have shown great knowledge, care and compassion through difficult times and I highly recommend their services.

Jasper and I felt welcomed as soon as we entered the building. The staff was kind and friendly and I always love seeing a bomb-proof office cat at the vet - this was no exception! Dr. Stewart was extremely thorough in Jasper's exam and respected my choice to be more conservative with vaccines. The technicians were gentle with Jasper and he never got fussy being around them. We look forward to using East Cooper Animal Hospital for all of our veterinary needs.
