Sparkle and I have gone to St. Francis for over 10 years. He is now 16, deaf, and with heart and rear end problems but still thinks he is a puppy. That says a lot about their care. The staff and super and ever single one is on a first name basis with Sparkle. It's great to go where you know everyone knows your pet and he is not just a number in a huge practice. I tell everyone to go to St. Francis.

First time going to this animal care facility. Very thorough evaluation of our cat Hemi. After that staff gave good advice on what we should do to keep our boy healthy and happy. A word to the wise. You cannot go in with your pet. Arrive in the parking lot call the office and staff will come out and meet you. This is a common occurrence as we experienced this same thing with our previous vet in another state.

We have been going here for almost 10 years now and would never take our boys anywhere else. Our boys walk in like they own the office which tells us how kind and loving everyone is there The entire staff has been there for us from the passing of our precious Bear years ago to now when our boy George is having some health issues. They are compassionate, knowledgeable and have always provided the best of care for our pups

Kind and caring. Explained everything in detail. Answered all my questions. I appreciate the covid restriction and the staff coming outside to pick up my cat. GREAT experience!

Best animal care EVER!!???? We have tried many clinics but the search was well worth it. I will never trust another Animal clinic again. Saint Francis is the ONLY one for our babies ????

Won't let you in with your animal you are forced to wait outside and wonder. As another mentioned this could all be money driven as they can tell you anything when they call you with your animals update. If I could give them 0 stars I would as sending in a 13+ year old dog without any family member causes the animal stress it doesn't need.

Was not sure what to expect about the curbside service...we had no problems & Vet including staff were very cordial & communicated well. Very Happy ???? Thank you for taking care of our sick baby girl!

Still will not let anybody inside. You can go anywhere else in SC without restrictions but not here. I believe it's all MONEY ????driven. You can have more people in the parking lot than will fit inside. I asked why they were still using this procedure and when it would cease. Was not given an answer other than if I didn't like it I could find another Vet. So after five or six years and countless dollars I took their advice and found another Vet.

Our healthy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, age 6, saw Dr. Robert Bruner 5/18 for a 2nd opinion re a cyst on his eyelid. Preliminary heart blood work & EKG was done 6/10. No heart issue and he was approved for surgery done by Dr. Bruner on 6/14. He was recovering at home when we notice what we believed was a stitch on his eyelid had come out. On 6/18, we returned him to have Dr. Maloney to check his eye, and see what she thought since Dr. Bruner was off that day. I was told it was out but a 2-3 minute procedure with a 5 minute sedation could be done to replace the stitch needed. It sounded very minor. It would be done at 1:45 and I would be called after the procedure. We could pick him up at 4:15 (must be the set time for pick up of all animals according to the other posts here). I had not heard anything so about 2:15 I called to check on him. I was told "we are very busy and I'll need to have a tech call you back. I asked if Chester was okay. She repeated she would have a tech call me back because they were very busy." My next call was from a tech at approx. 2:30 saying, "Chester coded as we were taking him to his recovery crate & we have been doing CPR for 30 minutes, do you want us to continue?" Of course I said YES! Why not say you need to come to the clinic we are having problems with Chester? Very unprofessional and shocking. I told her we were on our way. Before we got there (while we were driving) we received a call from Dr. Maloney saying she was sorry but they had not been able to revive Chester. It is really unbelievable that this news would be given to us while we were driving. No one can explain what happened. We have his records which are sketchy at best. We were told that our sweet Chester had woken up from the sedation and they were taking him to his recovery crate when he turned blue meaning he had coded (had a cardiac arrest) and they immediately started CPR and the doctor gave numerous drugs to restart his heart to no avail. No explanation as to what caused this to happen. Their practices and procedures need to be investigated. It will not bring Chester back but may save some other dog. I wish I had read the reviews here before I went there for a second opinion but this place was recommended to me by what I considered a good source. There was no charge for the procedure on the day of his death and no charge for his cremation or the engraved wooden box with his remains. When we asked Dr. Maloney about this she said it was done out of kindness and to cover anything up was not true. We'd like to believe her but we believe something may have been done incorrectly causing a blood clot, aspiration, etc. We asked for a written explanation but none has been received. Both doctors called us but neither could say what had caused his heart to stop - and neither offered anything in writing. We are still shocked, sad and devastated! Most of all we feel that we put our trusting, beloved pet in the hands of someone who didn't take care of him. We may never get over this. Please don't take your pet to Saint Francis Animal Hospital. You couldn't have made my visit better. I felt very comfortable with my 4 legged babies never, Dr.Maloney was wonderful. And Amanda Pollack is a super vet tech. I am so glad to bring my animals where the staff is as nice as they can be to my babies as well as myself. Thank you all and I look very forward to many years with you all.

THIS IS NOT A HOSPITAL. they call themselves a hospital but they are truly just a by appointment vet. They dont except walk ins what so ever no matter how sick you are. They turned my cat away even though he was peeing blood. This place is all about money bottom line. Shame on you naming your business after the Saint of animal's. I will see you all in hell

I hate that I have to even share a poor experience, but I am honestly still in shock from it. My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma almost 2 months ago from a routine check up and vaccination. I am greatful for Vet Maloney for finding the lump at this time. What happened after is what still blows my mind. Nothing happened after. My dog was prescribed the lowest amount of prednisone to start which Vet Maloney wanted to start with. And I was given no answers or conversation that I wouldn't have been able to get from google. Vet Maloney's only recommendation was really only to do chemo, but couldn't answer many of my questions. There was no follow up, no call, no recommendation to come back after a period of time... nothing. After the lymphoma seemed to be spreading, my dog and I took a road trip over 3 hours away to our old vet. Come to find out this amount of prednisone was so low and likely wouldn't do much for a dog her size. This trusted vet of mine also took 30 minutes to go into detail about chemotherapy and without chemotherapy options. It amazes me that to this Day, I haven't even so much as received a follow up call. This shows me the lack of care that this place has and specifically Vet Maloney. Maybe for routine visits, this place is good... But when you hear the worst possible news ever and there is no follow up or answers, you do have to question the quality of care. I know I will never be back.

We have an injured cat that we're trying to take to St. Francis Animal Hospital today, they refused to tend to our cat because they said that we went to Ocean Isle Veterinary clinic before so we should take our cat there. I told the lady that this is a different pet that's injured, not the ones that we took to Ocean Isle Vet, she still said "even so"... I was so upset that I asked her "because of that you won't see our injured cat?" And she said "Yes"...What a heartless reasoning to refused to tend to an injured cat. You should not use the name of St. Francis, which is the patron saint of the animals.

I took my very rambunctious Plott Hound in for a well check. This was his 1st visit here. We relocated from Virginia. Everyone from Marie at the front desk to Dr. Maloney we're very accommodating. My pup took to the Dr. and I felt comfortable letting him go back without me. With Covid the way appointments are handled are different. We we're in and out within 30 minutes. Another bonus... it's super affordable. Scooch will be back. Thank you guys for being everything your reviews said! God bless.

Just switched to St Francis So far, I really like them The staff is really nice and Dr explains everything verbally instead of just handing you a instruction sheet. I'll be returning in 2 weeks an will update but so far my pup Harley gives them 4 stars

This place is wildly busy, but extremely efficient! The staff is friendly and caring. Their love for animals is genuine! The veterinarian services are second to none! Prices are affordable for services, adoptions, and medications. There aren’t enough star options to rate this place. I travel from Harry County to this place because it is that good! Donate! Adopt! Volunteer! You will feel the gratitude and love.
