I wish i could give this place more than 5 stars. My cat was in desperate need for an appointment for an ear infection before I had to fly home for a family emergency. I’m not kidding- I called every SINGLE vet in summerville and not ONE …

Great experience! We found a kitten in the middle of the road and their entire team was there to support us with our late Christmas surprise. Very affordable and checked up on us afterwards to make sure our new family member was taking his meds well.

They are a little pricey but good veterinarians. Just don't let them add unnecessary tests/treatments.

— Military family review — WORST PLACE EVER!!! I usually don’t write reviews but this one was quite necessary! Dr. Virginia Brown was, by far, the WORST doctor I’ve ever had to deal with!! Oct 4th was my first time visiting this facility with my furbaby. I was quite impressed with the front office staff & the nurses that my baby saw. We are a military family who recently returned from overseas. This was simply a - let me find a local vet in our area - as my baby had just had a required exam less than 2-months ago due to the overseas relocation. He was only due for a heartworm tablet. Since my baby’s medical records were still in transit, we decided to have blood drawn to confirm a negative reading for heartworm. So, first visit & unfamiliar faces, plus blood drawn, my puppy was quite startled and nervous. When the nurse brought him back in the room, she said he tried to bite her. I apologized but told her he wasn’t a biter but was nervous…she agreed about the nervous portion. She also told me he might require a muzzle before he received his heartworm shot as the needle was larger. I told her ok. The nurse left the room, and soon thereafter, the doctor and a nurse came into the room. *** Dr. Brown questioned me about the emailed vaccination records. She said they ‘looked’ like records from a breeder! I explained to her despite what they looked like, they were his official medical records & for the past 11 years, 8 of which were overseas, NO ONE has ever questioned them! In addition, when I explained that they were the official records, she stated “mmmm, I don’t know about that!” The audacity! How unprofessional!? At this point, we were literally going back and forth while she is pinning my dog down. Granted, the nurse & doctor are trying to place a muzzle on my baby before administering the shot. Now, he is panicking again. The problem intensified when Dr. B placed, in my eyes, force on my dog during the muzzle process! She was pulling his back skin tight!!! I stood up and told her NOT TO HURT HIM! I have a Shih Tzu. He’s very small!! At this point, his eyes are red, he’s stressed, his heart is beating extremely fast! I then called my husband who is currently overseas. He was quite upset by the conversation and the doctors unprofessional tone!! He told me to leave! I told her I needed to know what fee was owed so that I could leave! In short, she decided not to charge me! She tried to apologize but at the point, it was entirely too late!! In regards to pulling my dogs skin too tight, she stated “I had one finger under his collar because he was about to fall” which totally wasn’t the case! I saw her with my own eyes squeezing him tightly which is why I stood up again and told her to stop it! Yes, he was being active during the muzzle process! It felt like she’s never had to deal with a frantic dog who is afraid! After all, he had already had blood drawn. The compassion and professionalism were both -1 on a scale of 1-10…that should tell you how terrible it was!!! As a veteran, and husband who is on his 22nd year, we have NEVER HAD THIS SORT OF EXPERIENCE!!!! I would NOT recommend Dr. B to anyone!!! NEVER! I also told her she had a very strong personality that comes off very rude and unprofessional! She agreed she had a strong personality and I told her she needed to find a better way to communicate with her clients! Worst veterinarian ever! I was beyond disappointed with this doctor; however, the front office and nurses were very professional! If your furbaby is a special love one, think twice before visiting this facility UNLESS you’re lucky enough to see a different doctor!

I came to the facility to get a pregnancy confirmation, dr Virginia g brown confirmed that she saw four puppies. I have always been under the impression that part of a pregnancy confirmation is seeing heartbeats, so how do you confirm a pregnancy from an ultrasound, that’s false? I was very disappointed with the service because after confirmation, I had already advertised the coming confirmed litter. In closing I will say that the facility contacted me and refunded the money I paid for the x ray.

I’m so sad to say I’m disappointed in the service Ladson Veterinary Hospital has shown to me! It seems like every time I take my 2 goldens in I’m reprimanded for the reasons I bring them in. I also tried to call today to get one of the dogs in for a spider bite and was rejected for even coming in for a quick check. They are also closed on Wednesdays which was also super inconvenient as this was the day the bite happened. Who is closed mid week at a dr office?? I’ll be going elsewhere with my vet services.

Dr Strong and the team at the clinic were awesome. My kitty was diagnosed with diabetes 4 weeks before I was due to move across the country and they tried to get her regulated before I left (she just got diagnosed with pancreatitis after months of trying to figure out why she wasn’t reacting to insulin). I’m so glad for the care she received from the clinic. I’ve had great experiences with my dog there too

My first visit with my pup went really well. I felt listened to, the vet and techs were informative, and the front desk and check in staff were friendly.

Love that they are open on Saturdays as my cat was sick and I didn't want to wait until Monday. They gave me some advice while there that seems to be working very well so far.

Extremely happy with the staff here, they're all so friendly, and compassionate, during the rough times. They have been so helpful during a couple of really rough moments for our family, and we can't thank them enough for it. 100% recommend them to anyone with pets.

This is just THE best vet hospital around (and I’ve been to many, as I’m sure you have also). Last month I had to put down my 11 yr. old Morkie, Remington, because of renal failure. Most vet clinics are kind when we have to go through these sorrowful times. But I have never encountered a sweeter, kinder group of people in my long life. They are so caring and go above and beyond what you might expect. Please recommend them to your family and friends. I’m still in a lot of pain, but it surely is nice to know someone else cares and understands the extent of my grief. A heart-felt “Thank You” and God Bless. Linda Taylor

My cat Bagheera had a VERY stubborn ear hematoma. I was a new client, and they were able to see him very quickly. He ended up needing surgery to repair his ear, but then he needed a few subsequent visits to recheck it since it was a difficult healer. But after a few rechecks, he was finally healed. I think I had to bring him in 3 days in a row and each time, they were incredibly compassionate and thorough. The wait in the parking lot isn't bad at all, we are all making the best of this Covid situation. Dr.Strong is awesome and I could tell she truly cared about Bagheera. She even offered to do a second surgery for free if his ear continued to be stubborn. Luckily, he didn't need it The nursing staff is also amazing! Bagheera came home each time in a good mood and is very happy to have his cone off!

They did a good job with my dog. Got a little snotty with me when I was sitting in their parking lot a little too long for their taste (which I get if it was crowded, but at the time, there was literally no other patients in the lots for them and 10 open parking spaces. Otherwise, god

DONT go here. I brought my dog here many times . They dropped the ball and did not see the fact my dog had cancer. There was no urgency about the matter. I had to take him to specialty care to find out that he was dying.

I fell in love with this vet office when they first opened, everyone was so nice and they really got to know your pet and make them feel welcome/comfortable. But ever since the covid virus, they have been doing curbside and do not care …

Dr. Strong and her team are great. They take their time to evaluate your fur baby. My pup get nervous easy but their methods helped to relax my pup so she didn't feel so nervous. It's great to know Luna doesn't dread going to the vet for a check up any longer. Highly recommend them. They are not the cheapest vet in town but they sure are worth the cost. Quality service all around starting at the receptionist all the way to the vet.
