Big Reds Bed & Biscuit Indian Trail, South Carolina

I will start this review by admitting my wrong doings. In frustration I left a voicemail that expressed my irritation, my desire to not do business with them again and request for a refund. (Which I've been told I won't receive) My second poor judgement came in speaking to an employee. I felt I was getting the run-around in trying to speak with the owner and I felt disrespected. I was angry by this point and wanted to get my point across. I'm sure I came across rude. Having admitted that, I will also say that the owner is unprofessional, unkind and lacking in basic customer service skills. The establishment has "very strict lobby hours." I've now been told that four times in a scolding voicemail from the owner. They lock their doors daily from 10:30-3:00 for staff breaks, sanitation and shift changes. I was aware of this, having arrived several minutes early to pickup my dog on our first visit. From that point forward I knew to follow their schedule. Today I pulled into their parking lot at 10:30am on the nose by my car's clock. Not ideal, certainly cutting it close, but still on time. Unfortunately, the employees didn't consider me on time and the doors were locked. We ended up arguing over one minute. My clock said 10:30; theirs said 10:31. One minute. But the real issue is how the owner handled that situation. Yes, I've admitted I didn't show myself in the best light when I found myself locked out, believing I was on time. But this woman owns this business. Her job is customer service. There is a right way and a wrong way to handle an upset customer. And leaving a chastising voicemail is, in my opinion, a wrong way. Avoiding speaking to a customer by having an employee lie to say you've left for the day is also wrong. A courteous, professional conversation would have gone a long, long way. I could certainly say more and give quotes from her voicemail. But there's no point. The gist is... they have "VERY STRICT lobby hours and you had better not be, in their opinion, even one minute late.

We Love Big Red’s ! We’ve been taking our fur baby here weekly since he’s been old enough to go. We’ve even board him a couple times. He gets so excited when he knows he’s going to “school” and he comes home exhausted- an added bonus. We feel like Reds is just an extension of Tucs family.

Our Jax loves coming to Big Reds and playing with all the dogs. We know he is well cared for and loved while there.

We've been taking Anna, our Siberian Husky, to Big Reds since she was old enough to go. Now she's almost one. We LOVE Big Reds and our dog does too! She knows when she's going and can't wait to run to the door. So thankful for this place, the staff, and trust that we have with them. They do an excellent job taking lots of photos of the pups while there so you can check in and see all the fun they are having in the back yard. Anna goes to day camp and has been boarded there and we don't have one negative experience. In fact, our son had a medical emergency and required us to need care for Anna over the weekend and obviously last minute. They made magic happen and took excellent care of us in a time of great need. Thanks, Big Reds!

Best dog boarding around - one day or whole week. Great care for your best friend and they post tons of pics while you are away so you can see how much fun they are having. Recommend advance reservations - fills up !

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Big Reds is the absolute best! Blaire, the owner, is absolutely fantastic and has hired a staff that clearly love working with dogs. I have never once had to worry about my beagle, Denver, when we drop him. He's even made other Beagle friends through out his stays, even a girlfriend! We would never choose anywhere else for our little guy. Big Reds, y'all rock!!

Believe me when I say don’t take your pet to this place. I had to sale my house and move away. They let multiple dogs out at once. All day I would hear the dogs fighting and people screaming at the dogs. I witnessed the sheriffs office there more than once dealing with unhappy pet owners. I know of a few dogs that had to go to the vet from other dog bites.

This place will RUIN your vacation! WARNING: if your dog has an issue with any other dog staying with them- they will ask you to come get your dog! They are not equipped or know how to handle different dog behaviors. They will not provide 1:1 care if your dog has an issue. We have boarded our dog at numerous places and never once had a problem or have been called to come get him. Big Red’s is the equivalent of a poorly run dog park with NO animal expertise! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Reply to owner: Our dog has been around other dogs and we just boarded him last month- so you must have misheard. The fact that he was even able to “attack” a dog 3 times shows the incompetence of you and your staff- maybe separate the dogs for a bit? That’d be a good idea…Instead you panicked and caused a huge issue. As I said a poorly run dog park! And thanks- we did find a much better place - pic attached

First of all the lady that runs the place is an absolute piece of work. She and her "minions" in the back have 0 experience working with dogs from what i can gather. All you hear is yelling and hollering at dogs in an unprofessional manor. They do not provide any 1 on 1 care for your dog. They are basiclly thrown together without close eyes watching and paying attention to different dog behavior. She is unprofessional as well as her staff. I would highly recommend taking your dogs elsewhere. My dog will never be staying there.

This is Archie’s 3rd time coming here. Twice for daycare and once for overnight boarding. He was a little nervous starting but has warmed up to the wonderful staff and other fur friends. I love that they have all day play and are not locked up all day. They post daily pictures and videos. Nice, clean and friendly facility! Highly recommend!

We absolutely love Big Red’s! Super friendly staff, awesome facilities and overall just a great experience time after time! Couldn’t ask for more, the best!

Our two dogs, Mia and Odin LOVE Big Reds. The caretakers of the pups are trustworthy, keep up a clean facility, genuinely love each dog, and always are super friendly! We know our dogs are in great hands when they’re at Big Reds! Not to mention they take photo shoots of the dogs each day, and post on the Facebook! Can’t say enough good things about Big Reds Bed and Biscuit!

Poor experience here especially given the price. Our dog returned home sick and required vet attention.

We have 2 dogs (Husky and German Shepard/Chow mix) and they have the best time here! Big Red’s staff is amazing and treat all pups like their own. We know they’re being cared for and having fun while we are unable to bring them places with us. Our husky was on ear drops and I trusted the team to give them to him daily. I also love that Big Red’s post hundreds of pictures so you can see your dogs play with others. Highly recommend this place!!

I have nothing but good things to say about this facility and the staff. My 1 year old shepherd loves the day care and when she is picked up she comes home actually tired. The staff is very personable and has love for all the dogs.The cage free environment and all dogs running around is such a plus. The pricing is another thing why I love it! Why spend $40 a day to watch your pup on a webcam play for maybe 2 hours out of the day somewhere else, when you can bring them here knowing they are having a blast all day in the huge field.

The dogs are out all day and there is no inside play yard. It appears the place is run by young people. We quit taking are dogs there because one of them has breathing issues in the heat

We’ve been looking for a new daycare where our dogs could really get their energy out. This is the place! We just started taking our two boxers here and they absolutely love it- we love it too because they sleep like babies afterwards! We also felt more comfortable boarding them, since they’d be playing all day and not stuck in a cage. The staff has been super friendly and seem like they really care and enjoy what they do!

Took our two Huskies there over Thanksgiving. After a week our pups were sleeping for 3 days straight!!! I love that they post pictures to keep you updated on how your pups are doing! I love the fact that the dogs are out playing all day and never copped up in the kennel for most of the day. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Without a doubt the absolute best doggy daycare around. Blair and her fantastic staff know the name of every pup bouncing through the door. They are professional, courteous, informative, well trained, communicate effectively, and love every fur baby in their care. The fact that I can drop off my 3 and know that they are loved and cared for is everything.

A great boarding and daycare facility for my dog. The staff is reliable and hard-working and exceeds all expectations every time I visit. Big Red's Bed & Biscuit will be the only place I will take my dog for a fun-filled day of play.

Cooper comes home and rests for days after staying. So much great play time with other dogs. Getting her is a bit of a hike for certain, but it is worth it.

It is just great and the dogs are loved and well treated. Lots of love that goes around.

Best place for your puppies to stay. My Sookie loved playing with the other puppies???? They even celebrated her birthday while she was there. I'll never take my girl anywhere else.
