THRIVE Affordable Vet Care - Indian Land Indian Land, South Carolina

I love this vet office! I moved to Indian Land a few years ago and switched to this practice originally because my prior vet was so far away. It turned out to be the best change I could've done! They caught a serious dental issue my prior vet missed and have really helped me out when my dog recently cracked a tooth. They got me an appointment as soon as possible and did an extraction the next day. They are not only affordable, but they clearly love animals. They've earned my loyalty. ☺️

While visiting my son in SC my cat started having some health issues. Because it was Saturday my options were limited however, I am so glad I chose Thrive! The staff was so caring, professional and thorough in explaining everything I needed to know to make sure my cat got the medical attention she needed. Their prices were very reasonable and the doctor didn't try to suggest services that were not needed like so many vets do today. I am very happy to have found this vet and I will definitely go back should the need arise again.

We had the best experience with Indian land thrive!! They took care of both of our pups and went above and beyond to give them the best care possible and answer any questions we had. 10/10 recommend.

I'm so beyond thankful that I found Thrive! My poor senior dog has been suffering particularly badly this year with allergies & I have tried everything I could think of to help his skin, with no luck. It's only been one day since he was seen at Thrive & he's already improving so much! Not only is his skin already less inflamed, but his attitude is so much better. The staff was absolutely amazing, so kind & responsive. The prices are actually affordable. I spent less than a third of what I would have anywhere else, & got far more comprehensive treatment. Dr. Donahue and her team are the best! They take incredible care of my pug, lab, and cat. My lab is a rescue and recently went through heartworm treatment with them and they were wonderful with her. They always remember my husband and I and our pets. The prices at Thrive are also very straightforward and fair. I never feel that I am being upsold. I quit price matching because they are always at or below Chewy and other competitors’ prices for preventatives. For my labs heartworm treatment they created a treatment plan with price estimates and they ended up UNDER their already reasonable estimated price. They also have an app that allows you to easily schedule appointments and view your pets vaccines, invoices, and treatments. I also cannot say enough good things about Dr. Donahue. Before Thrive we went through a traumatic experience with a vaccine reaction for our pug exacerbated by a careless vet. I paid lots of money and my pug was not getting better. When I met Dr. Donahue and explained my pugs reaction she sent me home with medicine immediately, made a note to never give my pug that vaccine, and took time to teach me how to prepare my pug in the future for vaccines as well as sends me home with medicine each time she receives a vaccine. She has earned my trust and then some- my pug got better very quickly and has continued to do well with vaccines ever since.

DR. Malatesta was very professional and knowledgeable. He took time to explain and discuss my concerns of my dog.

Do not go to this vet. I have given them multiple chances to right the wrong they have done over the last year and the service keeps getting worse. My dog was diagnosed with a tick borne blood parasite, it took weeks of calling and finally getting the district managment involved to even get the testing and care done for that process. I was the the one who had to call requesting results and care plans. I took my dog to the emergency vet over the weekend for a bad abscess. They told me my primary would need to remove it. When i called to ask if they would even be able to do it, no one knew.So i sat on hold for 15 minutes while someone found a dr to ask. Once they asked they said they need this paperwork sent to them by the ER vet to verify what was done to see IF they coukd do it. Either your facility is capable of removing a drain tube, or it isn't. No one here seems to know what they are doing and they dont seem too interested in your pets actual health, they do not follow up with information or results. Avoid this place like the plaugeand go to a local vet with in 10 minutes of this place.

Convenient location and very professional. I’m confident my dog is getting good care at an affordable price. My only concern is getting an appointment if my dog needs a vet in a timely manner.

My cat went in for her yearly shots and it went so quick, they called to inform me before additional things. Very pleased with the professionalism.

Sick visit is 2 weeks out not very timely for a sick visit but I'm sure they will be timely taking my monthly membership fee

I am beyond upset. We have 5 puppies which we're giving for adoption. We were told over the phone that the exam is not necessary to get the vaccines. We called about 10 days prior. When we got here, we are now told that exam is required for each puppy. And now the total price is more than doubled. I went up there to see if they would honor their word and wave the exam fee's. They said that their call center don't know what they are talking about and that they will not wave the fee's. We're extremely disappointed. So we didn't have time to find another clinic, and we went with them anyway. If we had more time, we would have turned around and left. Edit: They also messed up the order of puppies, so we had to figure out which paper work was which. Also, 4 puppies had December 16th. (wrong date as DOB), one puppy was apparently born in November, even though we told them all 5 puppies were born on the same day, December 18th. Sounds like time for a new call center?

Affordable healthcare for your pets. Basic well care given and 1of my cat’s had a dental. I was satisfied. No issues. I’m not sure how good it is for animals that need a high level of care, but for well care was good.

My fur baby and I always have a great experience here. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. And though my baby does not like coming here as he thinks he's getting shots, I feel confident that my baby is in good hands and well taken care of!

I took my cat to be euthanized on Saturday. The vet and vet tech were so kind and caring. They gave us choices and were extremely accommodating and caring. The vet tech even gave my children paw prints of our beloved kitty.

Came here for the first time this week. I wanted an affordable pet care group, but I still wanted a high quality veterinarian. I was blow away by the kindness and professionalism this company showed me and my pets. Called me upon arriving with kindness and explained everything that was going to be happening. COVID-19 protocols were in effect at all times for the safety of you AND your pets. Dr. Donahue was fantastic at letting me be in control of my pets care but still gave me every option she could provide. Definitely will be a returning visitor with my pets, I highly recommend for someone who doesn’t have a lot of money but wants a good quality vet care place.

If you're looking for a place that will take the absolute BEST care of your animal, this is the place!! We took our little dog, Zeus, (who is only 8 pounds and a little over a year old), here for his one year check up and due to his stomach not feeling the greatest. He is a mama's boy and I was worried about dropping him off due to the social distancing requirements. HOWEVER, Thrive FAR exceeded my expectations! Not only were they incredibly sweet on the phone, but Dr. Gilmartin treated Zeus as if he were her own pet. They called me on the phone several times to go over options for shots with Zeus and took time to hear me. She even wrote down the amount of Benadryl he could take if he for whatever reason started to not feel well! She went over all the options for flea and tick as well. Zeus came back a whole new dog! I cannot thank you enough for taking care of little Zeus and answering all my questions! You all made my day and I RAVED about you all to my mom and all of my friends in the area! THANK YOU!

Unable to get consistent care. Not worth it for senior dogs. I pay for Thrive plus and they are either closed or never available. Supposed to be 7 days a week and its not.
