I've taken my blue heeler, "Pretty Girl " here since she was ten years old. Ive always have gotten professional, caring, compassionate care from everyone to the receptionist to the vet. My girl developed liver cancer and after three months, it was time to let her go. They were over the top on the procedure, kind, caring, compassionate. Especially when a grown man is losing it in front of them. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Kenny Collins

The sign on the door says absolutely you must wear a mask to enter. However the gal at the front desk was wearing hers incorrectly exposing her nose.

The reviews on here were probs paid for. Terrible place! They killed my families healthy dog and showed no remorse or sympathy. Absolutely terrible!!!

My dogs get kennel cough every time they go and I call every time to tell them and they deny it! My dogs are inside dogs and do not go anywhere except the vet! they do not really care about your pets, they only care about money!! do not go here!

It was a very pleasant experince everyone was very professional and friendly.

I kept forgetting and waited too long to refill a prescription and my dog was having a terrible allergic reaction. I called this morning to see if I could get a script filled quickly. Their policy is 24 hour notice but someone named Marissa helped me out and made sure it was filled within the hour so that my pup could get what he needed today. Indian land animal hospital has take of my baby since we got him 4 years ago. Highly recommend

The vet cares about our animals

Unfortunately I wont know how good the vets are. I waited a month for an appointment with a vet and it was cancelled the day before the appointment and they could not get us in for another three weeks. From neighbors it appears this is a common issue. Consistency and reliability is important to me in a practice. I guess VCA isnt a good fit.

They have always been great

STAY AWAY from this place - since the new ownership they thrive on charging more than ever. When I spoke up they "Fired" me (my animals) as clients and refused to fill my dogs prescription leaving him (innocent dog) without meds. The new ownership has been and will continue to be terrible. Save yourselves and you loved pets the same frustrations!!! Being close does not mean being fair... Stay away...

Been using them for years. Always kind, good to both pet and owner. I trust them to do the best for my pet.

Great place to take your pets.

We’ve been taking our 2 miniature dachshunds here for years. Every staff member has been amazing to us and our babies. Yesterday, we had to do the hardest thing in the world. After 15 years, our male dachshund, Jasper, had to be euthanized. While it was the worst experience in the world, the staff made it bearable and exceeded any and all of our expectations. They were kind to us, and most importantly, we could see that they loved our Jasper. They brought him a mini charcuterie board in his final moments, and to anyone that knows him, that would be the way he wanted to go. Even in his miserable final moments, he was still all about food! We were able to have one final smile and laugh with our baby! They gave us time with him after, and their cremation service was already there to get him by the time we were done. (I had been so worried about just leaving his body alone) Thank you so much to the staff that that loved him throughout the years, to the staff that helped on his final day, and the staff that will continue to treat our female dachshund, Macy.

Organized curbside service during Covid~Dr. Landman is thorough with great with communication.

I took my cat here a few weeks as it had been his vet for the last few years. He had been losing weight, vomiting, and his diet had changed in the last month. An examination was done and he was deemed healthy and was told just to keep feeding him his new food. I wasn't convinced that he was ok, so a few days later a setup an appointment with another veterinarian hospital for a second opinion. This animal hospital(who allowed me to be in the examination room) was able to quickly determine there was fluid in his lungs. They recommended to take him immediately to CARE and they were ultimately able to conclude he had terminal cancer causing pleural effusion. Unfortunately I had to put him down a few days after that. Certainly frustrating that about a week after a healthy examination by VCA Indian Land Animal Hospital to find out that my cat is so sick he needed to be put down. I will obviously no longer take any of my future pets here. Two other notes. First, they rarely answer their phones. You need to wait later in the day for you to call back. This included when dropping him off. It took about 20 minutes sitting in the car for them finally to answer and was asked immediately be put on hold. Secondly, I did not like not being able to talk and be present with the dr during examination. I understand with covid everybody has different comfort levels on what's safe, but for myself, with a pet who I consider a family member, I had a much better experience being able to talk directly to the tech and dr at the competitor animal hospital which allowed us to to diagnose the problem.

Always get great care for the furr babies there with reasonable pricing. It CAN be busy though so sometimes you have a wait. Look at it this way. If lots of people are getting care for their pets at VCA Indian Land they must be doing something right.

I wanted to share my most recent experience with Indian Land Animal Hospital. I could not ask for a better group to care for my pets! Yesterday I was faced with a tough decision about my elderly dog. Dr. Haefele not only did a Quality of Life exam, but was honest and up front with me about the diagnosis. My beautiful pup was a rescue and had come from horrific conditions. She lived out her life with me with dignity, and lots of love! When the decision was made yesterday to stop her from any additional pain, Indian Land Animal Hospital was more than compassionate. Absolutely everyone at the hospital was more than accommodating to anything I needed to process what we knew was the best choice. Thank you ILAH for being there for Tara, and me. You will never know how much I truly appreciate your kindness, honesty and compassion.

Dr. Shaw is the best. She is a great doctor and surgeon, but also a true animal lover. I have 3 dogs and she ALWAYS comes in the room and sits on the floor with them for about 5mins of kisses???? They love her which is so important to me. Thank you Dr. Shaw! She has also put together an amazing staff that are very personable and genuinely concerned about my babies. And the same staff has been there forever which I believe truly speaks well of the working environment. Good job ladies!

Marla our Vet Tech was fantastic with our Yellow Lab. She treated him like he was her own and you could tell she loves animals just from the way she greeted and handled our boy. Dr Shaw was terrific and took time answering our questions and a great personality too. The whole office has great customer service and you can see they all their animals. We have been in the Charlotte area for a little less than three years and have three different Vet Offices, we will be staying with Indian Land Animal Hospital for a very long time. Great place.

I take all 4 of my pets here, and they are consistenly amazing and friendly!

I was referred to Indian Land Animal Hospital from the breeder where I got my dog. We were looking for a new clinic after moving from the other side of the town, and from my first experience in entering Indian Land Animal Hospital, it is clean and the staff is friendly. The doctor was great and extremely personable and took her time with our new puppy. She even included my 5 year old daughter in the visit by asking her questions about the puppy and making everyone feel so comfortable. I switched my other two dogs from their previous facility over to Indian Land and I look forward to continuing to work with them with all of my dogs!
