The absolutely love animals here and you can tell when you walk in the door

Dr Jonas and her crew are always top-notch in their service and professional abilities. I have been taking my dogs there for nearly 40 years.

Had to bring two of my dogs in on the same day and got an appointment after I brought the first one home and they worked with me and I had excellent service and great information.

I have been using Cape Fear Animal Hospital for years now and I trust them with my two dogs. My dogs are always happy and comfortable going there and that has not always been the case at other vet clinics. The customer service is always great and I love the assistant that work there. The Vet assistants are patient with my dogs and are gentle and loving. The prices for everything that we get done are very reasonable and they have a pet pal program if you cannot afford to pay a high bill at one time.

I can't say enough great things about the staff, very professional and always treat my pup like she's there own.

They've had it drive up service I love it

I truly hope and pray people read this review before going to this vet. It is a decision that I will always regret. If I would have listened to them my dog would have died. My dog was struggling to breathe and her tongue and mouth were turning purple. They misdiagnosed her. After X-Rays and evaluation, they told me she did not have congestive heart failure and that they cannot figure out what was wrong with her. After 4 hours of being told "we don't know what is wrong", my dog was in an incubation chamber and could barely breath on her own. I was told I had to take her by 2pm because they were closing early. Even though she could not breathe on her own, they said that would not keep her. I was told I could take her to the after hours animal hospital that opens at 6pm. When I asked them if she would live until 6pm, the Dr.'s exact response was, "I don't know, take her somewhere else" The staff made me walk into the back and get her out of the incubation chamber. I can only assume they did this because they did not want to be liable if something happened to her. I left at 1:15 and had her at another vet by 1:30(that I had never been to before but saw my dog immediately because of her condition). They checked her X-Rays that were taken from Cape Fear Animal Hospital and immediately recognized she had congestive heart failure and her lungs were full of fluid. She couldn't breathe and her lungs were drowning. Cape Fear Animal Hospital was either too incompetent to figure that out or they did not care enough to try to do anything. I don't know which one is worse. Do not make the mistake that I will always regret, PLEASE TAKE YOUR ANIMALS SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I needed a same day appointment for a vaccination for my cat and I went online and made the appointment with ease. When I arrived, my check-in process was smooth. It was curbside so I did not even have to leave my vehicle. The assistant who came out and picked up my cat was extremely friendly. Everyone was very nice and it was very quick.

The staff have been absolutely wonderful. They love and care for your pet just like you do.

Awesome vet! Dr. Lisa is amazing, she stayed and listened to all of my concerns about my doggie. And explained everything to a tee. Professional, kind, and caring!

They always take good care of my dogs, answer all my questions, etc...

Was told it was going to be a 10 minutes appointment. Only needed a stool sample and one shot. Ended up paying for two shots, one of which was not needed for indoor cats and didn’t even get the stool sample. Instead have to do it myself at home? No thank you. I’ll take my cat somewhere else.

Unfortunately like a lot of vet clinics today, this place seems like they are all about making money. I called to request a very rough price range (not even a narrowed "estimate" for a standard service. The receptionist refused and said they would have to "look at the pet". I asked how much it would cost to let them "look at the pet" and the receptionist said $49 dollars. Not supplying rough prices for very common and standard pet visits while requiring a check up is nothing more than a money grab.

Everyone was very professional, friendly and caring. Dr. G was very thorough and I appreciate that very much!! She provided me with different options taking in to consideration my budget but not compromising the care of my pet. They were very prompt as well. This clinic and Dr. G specifically, were recommended to me through a friend and I am NOT dissappointed!!! I have been searching for a vet clinic for a while and I think I have definitely found it!! I will be transferring the care of all of my pets to this clinic!!!

They were amazing with my dog and worked us in even when we had never been there before. Will be making this our vet forever for sure. Doctor was super kind and very patient explaining everything. Staff was also wonderful. 10/10

Cape Fear Animal Hospital treats pets & owners with respect & thoughtful care.

My doggie was seen for the first time on yesterday and I was very pleased. Although I could not be present due to work, the staff made me feel as if I was there. I was given explanations for treatment and additional suggestions to care for my pet later. CFAH appealed to me due to its affordability through the Paw Plans. As someone who has taken their dog to many vets, this place offers the best options for my budget. We all care for our pets as children, and it is obvious they do too!

Best vets and staff in town!

I love Cape Fear Animal Hospital, I thought my pet was having an medical emergency. I was in my car within minutes and they got him in right away. We are regular clients of Cape Fear Animal Hospital, and our after leaving every appointments we go home feel that our dog were in good hands. It feel good to know that the responsiveness of the Doctors and staff will always have your pets best interest! I highly recommend Cape Fear Animal Hospital for all of your pets care needs! Clean fast and efficient if your in the area

I loved how they cared for my puppy, I just did not like how we had to wait in the car while they took him in. I don’t know if this was a COVID thing but I want to be with my baby every step of the way.

Highly recommend if looking for Vet services, though I currently go somewhere else for my pets (I have a handful). My visit with CFAH was for accupuncture for my oldest pup. My friend recommended me to CFAH for Dr. Wheeler, and the Dr is great. The services I received were a little bit pricey, and though there was a little sticker-shock, CFAH made things bearable to ensure my old baby was cared for in the utmost. My old pup came home and actually began walking better after the accupuncture vist. The staff are professional, friendly, knowledgable, and understanding; they even knew the name of the pet from my friend's recommendation.
