Pretty much the only place to buy animals in the area.

Concetta horribly, and I mean horribly cut my cat. I normally take my cat to the Fort Jackson location but due to appointment availability, I chose to take him to the Harbison location. Concetta asked how I wanted my cat cut and I told him that they normally "shave him down a little" to make his coat shorter. I pick up my cat and he's hairless... like a sphinx. He went in with beautiful coats of hair. My cat is now furless and still has furry paws and a neck. He looks homeless. Not to mention, she knicked him in several places with the razor. I called to complain the assistant manager Austin told me I could get a discounted haircut next time. It will take MONTHS before my cat will ever need a haircut again. Extremely disappointed.

It is a smaller pet store but stocks staples. In addition, there is pet care and grooming available.

We were traveling out of state and stopped here to give our puppies a bath. It took us 10 mins to get checked in for the self wash station, and then when I got my big pup in there, they didn’t have any shampoo or conditioner. I went to the desk next to the station while my wet crying pup was tied up and ofc no one was nearby, so I grabbed the shampoo and conditioner from on the desk to use . The other stations were taken up. I let the associate know, who was clearly unhappy with me, and was about to ask me to pay for it, but he sees my dog who hates baths and that the stations weren’t filled. He shakes his head and mutters I complain too much. I’m not upset about product running out and all the other norm that happens, just how it all went down. I usually go to my pet supermarket in Jacksonville FL, and I’ll def only go to that chain, because associates tend to be more passionate about what they are there to do: help pets and pet owners. -- another retail worker on her first vacay since covid and the understaffing pandemic

Took my dog LUCI today to get a rabies shot and she ended up needing a few more things done. When she was examined the doctor came out and gave me recommendations thoroughly and we proceeded to get everything done she recommended. The are very reasonable, professional, and practice all Covid-19 safety guidelines. I have became a member and this will be our new vet and groomer. Highly recommended and I give them 5+ STARS

The groomer here is excellent. The rest is a pet store.

Thank you for having some boy dog's clothes. I went to one pet store that had probably 50-60ish girl dog stuff but only 5 for boy dogs!!! Our little dog loves to wear tshirts, sweaters and even pajamas. He loves to go shopping at Petco. When we get to the clothes aisle he gets so very excited???????????? Thankyou! Liz F.

Very well-maintained and well-managed location with friendly and knowledgeable employees. I vastly prefer this PetCo to the PetSmart nearbys. It's always a genuine pleasure to shop here.

I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have my sweet dog put to sleep today. Dr. Armstrong and her assistant Casey could not have been more patient and compassionate with the process. They worked my Polly into the schedule and still did not rush anything. It made a terrible day much easier.

The employee was really nice. He answer all my questions with a smile and manners.

Update: After I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Petco paid the vet bill, confirmed on Dec. 30, 2020. My cat, Louis, got injured in the grooming salon. Multiple teeth knocked out, lots of blood. The in-store vet recommended I take him for an X-ray and a dental exam. The manager on duty, Trevor, a very nice young man, assured me that any medical costs resulting from the injury would be covered by PetCo. That was in June. The general manager, Cita, and the people at corporate HQ in San Diego have been dodging the bills ever since, lying through their teeth. Their word is worth nothing. Meanwhile, the vet who helped put my cat's mouth back together doesn't have her money. You have to understand, this isn't just a mistake, it's intentional, systemic fraud. My advice? Get it in writing.

Nice employees and clean. Kinda limited selection, but not surprised after christmas though.

The lady I have groom my dog is very nice and they do a pretty good job of grooming my dog. My biggest complaint is the fact that I have gone three times and told them my dog hates cages. Every time I schedule and appointment and they just over book and make him stay in a cage for hours. This recent time I got an appointment at noon and I called at 230 and they haven’t even began working on my dog. If you schedule an appointment I think it should be the time they are ready to start the service. It angers me that I constantly tell them my dog gets anxiety in these places and they just seem to not care and leave him locked up for hours. If your dog doesn’t like cages and is already scared of this I would strongly advise against this place as it seems all they care about is the money as this is my thirds time with the same problem at this location. I will NEVER return.

The best Petco around! The other locations are horrible I will drive 45 minuets to this location instead of visiting the other closer location they are that bad. I have never had a bad experience here. Between Austin who helped me with fish and Penny who cuts and grinds my dogs nails its amazing. All the groomers do a good job. The staff is so very friendly and welcoming. It is hard for me to trust my dog to anyone as he is a service animal which is very expensive medical equipment but Penny goes above and beyond for me and my dogs. Their nails always come out looking amazing.

This is a great store with great staff! I take my dog here for nail trims and the groomers are so sweet and gentle with her!

We just moved down from up North a few weeks back. First time we went the encounter was amazing thanks to Elizabeth. She was extremely helpful and kind. She gave us a lot of tips on caring for our new husky pup. Now the second time (7/2/20) was a mess. Like I said we are new in the area and finding our way around. We went yesterday to get some food for our pup and made it just before closing time. My wife walks in and was immediately met with an attitude from the male manager, "hurry up and get what you need and you better not need help." Who the heck says that to a young lady especially as the manager. So my wife flustered grabs the wrong bag and comes to the car to tell me. He stands by the door and starts yelling " yea I gave her an attitude, I fed my dog this morning!" I get out to go talk to him and he locks the door. I am returning the food and never buying there again. A horrible since of communication on the managers part and to be so aggressively confrontational while standing behind a door was not needed. Poor reflection of the company's standards.

Everyone I've had the pleasure to have worked with has gone above and beyond what their roles may be. Public shoutout to Austin, Christopher, and Trevor for enabling my shrimp buying addiction and it is absolutely refreshing to work with people that know their stuff and can help people to learn about the hobby and to correct the mistakes they (I) make along the way. I will absolutely recommend this store for the people that work here and the knowledge that they are all happy and willing to share ✌️

The staff was very polite, from the person that checked me in at the Vet down to the cashiers in the store. Dr Armstrong was very knowledgeable with caring for my dog. I love how affordable the services were. Very convenient especially with the times that we are in. I strongly recommend this location. If you are seeing the Vet be sure to book online. The check in, check out and payment process was very smooth. Thank you all for wonderful service.

No one to help! Very disappointed! Come on have people working! Customers can't wait all day. Especially when there's only 2 customers in the store and we had to get the groomers to get us help!
