I paid for special "packages" to get my kittens vaccinated, believing the follow-up visit would include only the cost to see the doctor since I paid for the packages already, didn't I?! Not only was I charged AGAIN for the same items at the second visit, but they failed to disclose until the last minute that they want me to make yet another appointment at the end of the month for an additional hundred dollars. None of this was mentioned in the "packages." My regular vet would never have been this misleading nor would she have charged me these astronomical prices. She also would not have tried to make me pay for additional flea medication (you can find cheaper at the store) or included unexplained "clinical support fees." The staff is friendly but make no mistake, they are in the business of swiping cards. Also if you have any issues you are directed to a call center, not the office. I'm glad my cats are okay but I highly discourage coming here for care.

I had an appointment at 5:15pm for several days and received a call from Braden (staff memeber) at 4:20pm (less than an hour notice) explaining that the appointment was cancelled. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! My poor puppy.

Tech Rachael and Dr Grant are awesome! As well as the receptionist. Super affordable visits and made me and my dog super comfortable. Made sure I left with no questions and knew all of my options and pricing before deciding anything. Will definitely keep using THRIVE.

Dr. Ivan and the crew were fantastic. From Brenden (I think that's what I heard Dr. Ivan say, sorry if I'm incorrect) at the front desk, Racheal the tech, everyone was super polite and very informative as to everything that was getting done and also things that we're planning on getting done. Dr. Ivan went over all the options and even reached out via text with more information and personally called to discuss results of the blood work. Job well done Thrive @ Arboretum. Bowser says thank you as well...

The service here is always great! All the staff is super friendly and made our visit worthwhile. Dr. Fernandez is knowledgeable and honest. Thank you to Racheal (v-tech) for answering all our questions and offering our pups treats!

I was running 5 minutes late for an appointment to get my dogs nails cut and they told me i had to pay a $45 late fee or reschedule which sucked because I drove 45 minutes to get there.

I just moved to town and used to take my dog to Thrive in Colorado where we used to live. This Thrive was not like the one back home. Not friendly but not rude either. We were there for a couple routine shots and I also asked for her nails to be clipped. They ended up cutting one of her nails really short and when I got her home there was blood all over her paw. It just seemed like there was a general lack of care. I‘ll be finding a new vet with staff that’s excited to see my dog and cares for her like their own.

Dr. Waldrop took time to answer all of my questions and I think the price was very reasonable. Rachael was very friendly too.

I've been looking for an affordable vet in the Charlotte area for some time now and I found it! The staff are amazing! They were incredibly kind, explained everything along the way, and never rushed me, even though my cat had some complicated health problems and the appointment ran past closing time by 30 mins. Brandon, Ariel, & Dr Grant were phenomenal and I'm so happy that I found this place!

Every time I need to fill up a prescription is a nightmare. They don’t have the medicine my dog need available so I need to order thru different websites and now is been 10 days since I place the order and I’ve been calling every single day and they always give a excuse, or the vet is never there, or the only vet that approves is busy. Now I have only 5 more days of medicine, I reduced the dosage so I can hold a little longer but my dog is getting really sick. And for sure this not gonna arrive before what I have is done. They are affordable, but not reliable if your pet have chronic disease.

They gave my dog a vaccine in the middle of her back. The tech couldn't figure out where to put her vaccine so they literally put it in the skin in her back after sticking her 10 times. They made passive aggressive comments about my dog's behavior several times and all stood over her when she was fearfully huddling in the corner. The vet talked badly about the humane society and questioned their legitimacy when he has absolutely no idea what he's doing or how to properly talk to patients. Two different techs couldn't figure out where to stick the needle for sedation, so after poking my dog several times in her back leg and then sticking her a bunch in her front leg, they had to call the vet over to do this very basic thing that techs should know how to do. They debated over whether or not it was normal for the syringe to fill with blood after sticking her for sedation. These people have no idea what they're doing. After my dog's exam and diagnosis, the vet came to talk to me and I left more confused than when I arrived. He provided no notes, no written diagnosis, just a $400 bill. I asked them to cut my dog's nails (she was sedated so it should've been a very easy task) and they only cut 8/10 of her nails. Before leaving, I asked the tech if she could either print or email me my dog's xray's. She came out and handed me a CD and said the x-rays were on that. When I tried to upload the pictures it was a BLANK CD. This place is super unorganized and they provide horrible vet care. Do not bring your animals here, they will probably be misdiagnosed after being stuck with needles for an hour because the people here have no idea what they're doing.

I have never been to a more unprofessional veterinary practice. They didn’t have a receptionist at the time of my check in at 1:30 so I sat in the lobby by myself until a receptionist came in at 1:50 to tell me I couldn’t be seen because I was late. Um, what? I was asked to pay $17 extra because of the fact I’d have to drop off now that they were late coming out of another appointment. The receptionist just kept telling me she wouldn’t “debate” this. I am horrified. I told them they needed to check the petco security cameras to show me that I was over 15 minutes late (I was there at 1:30) but apparently that wasn’t possible. HORRIFIC, appalling service.

I had made an appointment for my sick dog to be seen at this location yesterday. Well so I thought... I showed up at what I thought was my appointment time to find out I made the appointment for a different day. I was so devastated since my pup had been having tummy problems since Monday and I was getting worried. The tech that was there was so kind to me. She spoke with the vet and told him what was going on with my dog. He agreed to squeeze me into their schedule for the day. I was so relieved and happy. I’ve worked at medical offices. And usually when u go on the wrong day or time. Nothing can usually be done about it. They were able to examine my dog and figure out what was wrong and provide medications that will help him make a full recovery. Truly I don’t know what I would have done if they wouldn’t have been willing to see him. I’m very thankful for the kindness and professionalism this office showed to me. I have always been happy with my appointments with Thrive but this one exceeded all.

The vet and staff were amazing! My dog can be aggressive when it comes to new people, but they handled her like pros! By the end of the visit she was much more comfortable. We went in for tummy issues and it cleared up within a few days as the vet anticipated. Will definitely return.

Even if you make an appointment with this location, get email confirmations, and text reminders, they might reschedule you when you’re on the way to this location. Imagine you arriving to your appointment and finding out that they changed your time to something earlier. Since you are now late, your appointment has been canceled. If you want your pet to be seen, you’ll have to be rescheduled. That’s what happened to me. It doesn’t matter when you made the appointment or if you have confirmations and text reminders. If they changed your appointment time, they changed your appointment time and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Thrive is at best just okay for routine exams & vaccines, although I don't know whether they actually performed any checks or vaccinations on him because I never went beyond the waiting room! They came to the waiting room and took him back without me. I've never been to a real vet where you don't go back to the exam room with your pet. The girl who took him said they'd call when they were finished examining and vaccinating him. They called 15 minutes later, said they were done and my dog looked great. The guy said they don't take payment at the desk & they'd send a text with a link to pay for the visit. Then he said they'd bring my dog out after they got the payment confirmation!!!!! I felt like I was paying ransom to get my dog back!!!! I already felt the whole process and experience was far less than professional. But the whole payment before we'll release your pet was cold, uncaring, and unprofessional. I never saw or spoke to a veterinarian the entire time. The day following our visit my dog started scratching his ear and shaking his head...signs of ear infection. So I'm doubting they examined him at all...having serious doubts they did anything other than play with and pet my dog when they took him from the waiting room without me! But I was charged for a number of vaccines, tests, etc. I just tried to schedule a sick visit for his ear & the next appointment is 19 days out! He'll be septic by then!!!!

I just call this place to try and see how much it would be to spay or neuter my cat and the guy on the phone was anything but helpful... They definitely need to get a need receptionist. I just wanted to know the average price range for the procedure and he couldn't even assist me.... Very helpful conversation...NOT.

Couldn’t even give me the right weight for my puppy and then tried to argue with me about it like I don’t know my OWN puppy weight and then proceeded to weigh her again and was 3lbs off and then tried to say it was because she was probably moving around but anyways I was only upset because she tried to give my puppy a medication for dogs that are 7lbs and up and my puppy is only really 4lbs like youre a veterinarian don’t od my dog and then the veterinarian proceed to talk to me like I was slow but yeah horrible service for the price I paid I rather drive an extra 20 miles and go to the one in huntersville then come here again, it was horrible never again ????????

Person who answers the phone is lackluster at best. Mumbles and gives zero assistance in finding a solution. Please get someone else to answer the phone who actually knows how to communicate to another human.

Shamoy (I hope I am not butchering the spelling) from the front desk @ Arboretum today, was the most professional woman I have spoken with anywhere, in such a long time. She blew me away, so thank you lovely lady!
