I have had two dogs trained at The Dog Knowledge and have recommended them to many!!! My dogs have the best manners and I couldn’t be happier! They learn by positive reinforcement and after they are trained then I learn how to be consistent with them. I have contacted Debbie numerous times with questions over the years and she is always quick to respond with a wealth of knowledge. I love visiting the Dog Knowledge and seeing the trainers with their dogs. It’s so inspiring to have such well mannered dogs everywhere! This is the best money I’ve ever spent and my dogs are so easy to care for now!!!!

Our dog has been trained here and also last minute boarded here. She was always nervous around other humans which made me initially nervous, but here she immediately liked one of the trainers and after her training she was so much happier and calmer around strangers. She is so well behaved since being trained here. The trainers are all so knowledgeable and Debbie is basically a dog psychologist and very passionate about what she does. The facility is always clean and seems like a dog heaven! We couldn’t recommend The Dog Knowledge enough!

After receiving numerous positive referrals, I scheduled our puppy Happy for pre-training evaluation by Debbie Lange. I was looking for a facility and staff with which I could build a relationship for day care, boarding and training services, and The Dog Knowledge provided exactly that. During the evaluation appointment, I learned about the 4-week obedience training, and received helpful guidance for working with our pup at home in the 10-week period between the evaluation and the time she would start training—all of which proved very beneficial. I took Happy to day care twice and overnight boarding once at TDK before the start of training, so she could get used to being there. On each occasion the staff was helpful to me by answering questions, and Happy seemed to thrive in the environment. Happy was actually returned to me freshly bathed after boarding, which was unexpected but much appreciated. Prior to dropping off Happy for the 4-week training, TDK provided excellent instructions for what to bring, and guidance for how to survive missing your pup. During training, they provided weekly updates and pictures. Graduation day proved exciting! Seeing how much Happy had learned was a thrill, and the trainers spent a great deal of time working 1x1 with my husband and me so we could properly reinforce her new skills. Upon returning home, Happy was not only significantly easier to manage from an obedience perspective, she was also overall more in tune with us and better at engaging in play. I am thankful for the services, expertise and overall excellence TDK provides, and for having what I feel is a true partner in caring for our pet. I look forward to using their services in the years to come.

We initially started with The Dog Knowledge with boarding our dog. After a few times there, we knew our dog was kept safe, had fun, and loved by the whole team. We decided to put her in the one month training program and we were so happy we did!! She came back home eating better, listening more, and better behaved, all done thru positive reinforcement which I definitely prefer! They taught us the key skills in continuing our dog’s progress at her graduation and at an in home visit. All the trainers have a wealth of knowledge and a true love for dogs. We are very grateful to the Dog Knowledge team and appreciate them making our puppy feel like one of their own:)

Do yourself a favor and send your dog here! Our golden retriever just finished their four week basic obedience program. Before training, she was a strong-willed ball of energy who would beg at the table and was difficult to take on walks. She'd want to chase squirrels, say hello to everyone (by jumping all over them), or would just want to sniff a plant and go at her own pace. On a few occasions, she'd pull so hard on the leash that she'd get loose. Since bringing her home from training, she has been great to walk with. She heels and goes at our pace. When distractions such as other dogs walk by, she continues to heel unless we allow her to say hello. She no longer begs at the table, as one of the things covered in training is "place." Place training is a game changer. Before dinner, we put her on her "place bed", and she is trained to stay until we free her. She has learned basic obedience really well but has remained our sweet ball of energy. Dog Knowledge uses positive reinforcement with introduction of consequences once the dog learns commands. After doing our research and visiting other facilities, this was the absolutely the right choice for us and our golden retriever.

I just picked my dog up from their 4 week program and am shocked by how well behaved he is! His responsiveness to commands and ability to execute those commands are incredible. The best part is, he still is the sweet, lovable, playful guy I dropped off. They managed to keep his personality in tact and just improved his manners and listening. It was hard to leave him for 4 weeks but it really did fly by and I’m so glad I did it!

My dog graduated today from dog knowledge and came home a new well trained puppy:-). She was totally a better pup who now listens to commands and follows them. I know we will have to continue with this training but the ground work has been formed. Now we can build on what she has learned. Can not say enough to all the trainers who got her to this point. Thank you!!

Today was graduation day for my almost six months old chocolate lab baby. I am almost speechless at the progress he made in 4 short weeks of training at the Dog Knowledge. I am ecstatic at the way he follows commands. It's everything I wanted and much more. My only fault with the process would be more photos to get me through the journey without him. But that's mostly because I'm not very Instagram savvy. I highly recommend this training at this place. Worth every bit of the cost and I look forward to maintaining a relationship with the folk here

When my wife had to drop off our golden retrievet for 4 weeks of training it took 18 minutes for the trainers to get our dog into their facility on a very warm day. They took their time and got him when he was ready. Our 10 month old dog Bentley unfortunately did not have a good experience when we took him in for his assessment. He was freaked out and didn't know what to do. Debbie the owner assured us that she could get our boy trained and in a good spot by the end of the 4 weeks. We receive weekly updates from the trainer with pictures and commentary. He is doing great and we can't wait to see the final product. Judging by the way training is progressing we'll definitely be sending our other golden pup when she is 6 months old. Thanks so much to Debbie and all of the staff at The Dog Knowledge.

The Dog Knowledge was the right place to go for me. I adopted a Scottish Terrier, Kylie, in December. Training a puppy anytime is a challenge but during Covid the stakes are raised. I wanted the best for her and it became obvious early on …

Our labradoodle, Lucy, recently completed her training at The Dog Knowledge. She will be used as a grief therapy dog at the funeral home. They did a fabulous job training her! The Dog Knowledge has a fantastic staff of trainers who are always willing to answer our questions. I highly recommend them if you have a dog that needs trained.

Everyone that I met at The Dog Knowledge were so friendly and inviting. I went in for my first consultation and that session in itself was quite impressive. Debbie (the owner) and Talya spent a few hours with my puppy (GSD mix) and I. The information and tips they provided was so valuable for us. Debbie helped me understand basic behavior modification and the correct way of rewarding the positive behavior. I was fascinated in her ability to calm my hyper puppy down so quickly. Every minute spent there was well worth the trip, as I have been using their tips at home on a daily basis. It’s working!!!! :) The setup of the little village of the dog houses is super cute, which I can imagine all of the dogs enjoy together. I’ve already started telling others on my walks about my wonderful experience and referring them here. I HIGHLY recommend this place! I look forward to enrolling my puppy in the formal training and becoming a member in the near future!

Our rescue dog was fearful of strangers, needy most of the day and a nightmare on a leash. The Dog Knowledge changed all that. I can have lengthy phone calls and meetings with worrying about being interrupted with barking and we can walk past squirrels and other dogs without having our arms torn off. She is like a new dog. Our trainer, Dennis, was very helpful in transitioning her back to us and making sure we had the tools to successfully continue her training. Needless to say, we're very happy with the result. Understand that you do have to put in the effort to continue the training, but by the time they hand you back your dog, it really just requires being consistent and a small amount of time every day.
