Southend Veterinary Clinic is hands down the best vet you could ask for! They are so friendly each time we visit and remember both of my cats. They truly care about their clients and their pets! There have been times when I needed an appointment right away but had a work conflict. South End Vet allowed me to bring Sophie in and leave them with her throughout the morning to get her worked into their schedule. My mind was at ease knowing she was in great hands. I highly recommend bringing your pets here. You won’t regret it!

What makes South End Veterinary Clinic so wonderful is the STAFF. Each time that I call, they are prompt to answer and they remember me and my pet by name. I bring my cat to Dr. Maples-- highly highly recommend. He is relatable and he truly cares about my pet. We had a pretty big scare with my cat recently and the team at Southend Vet Clinic have made me feel so supported. So thankful to have found them!

Dr. Maples, Sien, and the entire team at South End Vet are wonderful - friendly, professional, and they explain everything very clearly. They treat you like family, and my dog loves her visits. She sits eagerly at the exam room door wagging her tail until they come in to see her.

When Dr. Maples started his own practice at South End Vet we followed him and he is the best, I think he has been our vet for over 20 years. He has been there for us and every dog ailment we have encountered. He also takes his time evaluating and discussing health issues and the well being of our pups with compassion and concern. We have always owned two dogs at a time and also fostered a few as well, so we have seen a lot of him over the years. His staff is absolutely wonderful too! I can’t say enough good things about our experience with South End Vet.

We have been taking our cat here for over six years and cannot say enough good things about South End Vet Clinic. From the phone to the office, everyone we have met here has been wonderful. Dr. Maples always spends a long time chatting about our cat and takes time and care to answer any questions we have. He is truly an animal lover and it is evident he loves what he does! We love this clinic so much that we continue to take our cat here, even though we moved from the immediate area.

We have been taking our dogs to South End Veterinary for about a year since we moved to Charlotte. My daughter has been taking her dog here for over 5 years. Dr Maples and his staff have been wonderful to work with. Scheduling appointments has been easy without long waits for availability. Office visits have been mostly ontime or a few minutes delayed but haven't had a long wait yet. Dr Maples takes the time to discuss our pet's health conditions and gives detailed explanations of his recommendations for their care. The vet techs and front desk personnel have all been friendly and kind. When we pull up in front of their offoce and my dogs pull to go inside, I know they are comfortable their as well. Keep up the great work, we appreciate all you do!

Theyre so nice and good! Granted, i still need to drag my dog to get in but i know he is in great hands, so im not worried.

Was referred by a friend, and the clinic is nearby in a great area. Parking is a bit limited there but service is top-notch and they know what they are doing, very professional and really care about your pet. My pet loves seeing the techs and the doctor. I would recommend it 100%.

We started taking our pets here because one of our cats would get very nervous getting his shots at a mobile vet. We enjoyed a few of the visits we had, the lady doctor was great, as well as the vet techs ,everyone always made us & our pets feel very welcomed; however, I'm giving it a 2 because on our last visit exams were done that we had not agreed to. All we asked for were their shots, & flee medicine for our dog, & he performed blood work on our dog as well as stool exam, even though we had not brought in any stool for our dog. We were very disappointed since these two exams were over $120 dollars extra. When he came back to our car, the doctor started talking about heart worms, & went on about it for like 10 mins which is appreciate it, however after seeing he had performed the exam (WHICH WE DID NOT ASK FOR) we realized he was just excusing himself for performing it. Also, on a few visits when we brought multiple pets (dog & cat) we were charged for one visit, & he charged us for 3 separate visits even when they took two of our cats in at the same time. Unfortunately, after over two years of going here, we will no be going back again. It is not professional to do what he did, & very inconsiderate as if giving extra exams just to make some extra money, specially now during COVID-19 when we aren't able to see what is being done to our pets, & money is tight. . . . somehow we can't reply to your comment. We were not informed of Chase needing any exams, & we were charged for two exams, one for the heart worms, the heart worm medicine was sold to us anyway even before the results were ready, so at the time there was no reason for the exam to had been performed. & another for his stool ( we did not bring any stool, & this was also done without consent) You state on your reply that we have never been charged one visit for two pets, the following receipt shows otherwise. Chase (dog) was brought in for a spider bite, & Luna (cat) was brought in at the same time for her shots. You stated that all pets are charged separately due to their exams, & this shows that isn't consistent. We hope that this clears up any confusion, we have no reason to lie about any of the statements given.

Our dog likes Dr. Maples and so do we. The staff is great. Even though we moved out of south end/uptown we will continue to take out animals there.

Both Dr. Maples and Dr. Smith are amazing and extremely knowledgeable. They took extra time to answer all my questions and treated my pup like it was their own! The staff is also great and are very accommodating. Won’t take my dog anywhere else!

When you find a business that helps you before your even their customer, in my book, is a clear indication of what kind of customer service you will receive going forward. New to the area, this was my first time going to this vet. They squeezed me in on very, very short notice. Thank you so much!!!! The vet doctor that was able to see my Ladybug was Dr. Smith. She is AWESOME. She welcomed Lady and I as new patients, did a full exam, asked questions and loved on my 4 legged baby girl. All the support staff were just as welcoming. The location is clean and bright. The support staff and Dr. Smith were super friendly and made us feel like we've been their patient for years. Thank you for an awesome experience!!!

I love the entire team at this vet! Dr. Maples is fantastic and always answers my crazy questions about my miniature schnauzer. Pre-quarantine, we were able to easily get an appointment and even during quarantine, when my dog had an emergency and needed to be seen asap, they were able to get her in and sorted. You have to get appointments early (July) but they are worth the wait!

Everyone here is always so friendly and helpful! Nothing but great experiences so far!

I've been to many vets in the last 3+ years and Dr. Smith at Southend Vet Clinic is the best. I have a dog with sensitive skin/seasonal allergies that causes me to be at the vet more often than just annual exams/vaccinations. With the help of Dr. Smith I was able to get my dog's skin issues under control promptly and I know that with any other issues that may arise this office is here to help. Friendly office staff and very convenient location here in Charlotte!

We've taken our Golden retriever puppy here for the last 6 months and the service is outstanding. Everyone talks about how their dogs hate the vet, yet once we pull into the parking lot and he realizes, he starts jumping with joy. They're extremely professional and you don't even have to leave your car throughout the whole process. I highly recommend South End Veterinary Clinic.

Lovely staff who really make you and your pet feel important. I've visited them twice now with my cat (once during the virus) and both times had a wonderful experience.

Dr. Maples and his staff are excellent. They always take their time and you never feel rushed. I have a kitty with chronic health issues so our appointments are never in-and-out. I have had enough encounters with sub-par vets to know that we are very luck to be working with Dr. Maples. Prices are reasonable, but even if some things are a little more than a discount place down the street, you won't honestly care when that discount place fails to take care of your babies. Caring for our pets is a tremendous responsibility and they deserve the best care available.

Dr. Maples and his staff are incredibly friendly and kind. My dog does not like going to checkups but everyone at South End Vet has done a great job of making it as least traumatic as possible.

I have been to several different vets in the Charlotte area and South End Vet tops them all. I have two dogs (a small 13lb dog and a medium size 45lb dog) and Dr. Maples and staff has been amazing with them both. One of my dogs is very skiddish and erratic and his patience with her has been amazing. The staff is always friendly and they always remember the dogs names and tendencies. The office is very clean and I have never even had to wait in the lobby! If I could give this place more stars, I would!
